The dryer was screaming and the washer wasn't draining so I got quotes from different companies using the Yelp quote feature but I knew there was a company I've used before so I hunted them down and sent a request to them as well. That company was Elite. They responded to my quote request quickly and spoke with me about what I needed help with. We got scheduled quickly and then Steve Sr. came by in our scheduled window to help me out. Steve was great! Friendly, professional, enjoyed saying hi to my very enthusiastic dog and kept me informed of all the repairs my machines needed along the way. Marcus instantly responded to my text this morning and was available to address our many appliance…read moreissues: Refrigerator-plugged condensation pan; dishwasher-seemed to be running dry on and would not shut off; viking gas stove/oven-burner igniters clicking and large oven was not heating properly. Yeah, that was a lot but he told me it was not an issue. Marcus chose to work on the refrigerator system first to stop the melt water from hitting the floor-a more important issue than the oven and dishwasher-perfect triage! He was quick and thorough with the freezer compartment disassembly and repair. While I was disinfecting the freezer, Marcus worked on the dishwasher and found that its nearly 20-year circuit board brain had failed and that replacements were not available (I knew the unavailability of the board would probably be the case as a GE tech had warned me this would happen back in 2018). I asked him which brands were best and biggest pain to work on, and the info he provided also checked out with what I had heard from others. Finally, he checked out the stove top and realized the electrical connection to the igniter electrode was wiggled loose. Then he found the oven igniter electrodes needed to be replaced but ALSO that the right burner bar had gotten clogged and needed to be cleaned! Through all his work, Marcus took time to explain anything I was curious about. Bonus for me-I consider myself a "Jill of Many Trades," but I still learned some tricks and tips from him. :-) Marcus is super professional and extremely knowledgeable and fair with his pricing and offers warranty for his work. The technician told my son that the handle was broken. My son doesn't live here and would have no way of knowing if the handle was broken. It was NOT broken previous to the technician coming. He admitted to me that he had to remove the entire casing so how is it not possible that a chip could happen something could have hit my stove top a tool could have banged against it. Once I informed him that neither the handle or the chip was there before he came he stopped responding unfortunately I'm a single working parent and needed to be at work and was not able to supervise him so he's taking full advantage of this stating that he's not going to fix these. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 instead of 5 is due to the cost. My dryer turned out to be fine, a piece inside fell off. It was 60$ for the tech to just put the piece back in place. It did take him about 25 min to get it put back on and the dryer back together, but I still feel like 60$ was a lot for just putting a piece back in place. Just my personal opinion. The tech did offer a 90 day "warranty" if the piece falls off again, they will put it back on for free again or put that 60$ towards the replacement of the piece, so that is very nice. I'm a yelp stickler, otherwise I would have given a 5 stars probably. Great service, just think 60$ was a little high.
