Was driving through the area and needed to eat with some urgency, so felt lucky to find this place on Yelp. It was a one-woman show when we went, and this lady was a dynamo. I absolutely love this restaurant! First of all, safety first, this Vietnamese restaurant has all outdoor seating and the outdoor seating has a wonderful ambience. There are lots of fresh plants around and lots of space between tables. The service here is impeccable. The owner is a friendly woman who is so kind and patient. She also hired very good staff who are also very kind. All of them wear masks and make sure to serve the food in the safest way possible. Now on to the food. I absolutely love fresh shrimp rolls that they make. They are feeling and also very healthy. We also ordered beef tendon noodle pho and they're broth was so delicious. Even though I ordered the regular size, it was more than enough and the owner was so kind that she even gave us extra noodles to use for the leftover broth to eat at home. I am definitely coming back here, the setting, the service, the food are all 5-star. Please support this mom-and-pop restaurant. Highly recommend! Was shopping in seal beach with my dad, and he was craving pho so onto Yelp I went. Found this place which is a short drive from Rossmoor, and happens to be in the same plaza as Angeline's Pizza (one of my husband's fave spots!). There is outdoor seating in the parking-lot-turned-patio. It's a canopy tent with sides so it shields some of the traffic coming off Katella. The waitress was very nice. She was attentive and catered to us well. We ordered spring rolls and pho. The broth was soooo delicious! Very fresh produce to add to the soup. We actually all ordered the same thing: brisket pho. Under new management we ordered for a pick up over the phone still end up waiting for over 30mt . The pho special for $10.95 big banner advertise on the outside wall didn't exist. So we ordered the combo pho only came with beef & meat ball. No bean sprouts or onions . Not what I'm use to compared to other pho places. And the Vietnamese coffee horrible. I threw it out .!if I do go back would probably try the vermicelli noodles instead and they only take zelle or vemo the day I went last week . So it wasn't a good visit . I wanted to like this place so much. It is close to home, the service is friendly but the pho was so bland and flavorless. My first thought upon tasting the broth was that this is what the good folk of Los Alamitos think pho should taste like and based on their good reviews I may be right. That being said we are so close to Garden Grove that it is so easy to fine outstanding Vietnamese food for a much better price. I feel bad but I most likely will not be back. read more

Oh my goodness what a hidden gem. I live in Newport Beach and was visiting a friend in the Los Alamitos area and was searching for healthier options for our lunch. I know Vietnamese restaurants usually offer vegetarian options and found Pho99Plus and their Lemon Grass Tofu sandwich. OMG beyond yum. Starting with the crispy French baked roll (so sorry for those needing to avoid gluten - this is truly perfection in bread) and then the wonderfully textured tofu, and the combination of the "fixings" - cucumber, cilantro, jalapeno, carrots, daikon and some kind of "special" sauce - a truly killer combo of yum. Now I look for ways to come out of my way just for this sandwich. (And I hear patrons there rave about their Tofu & Veggie Pho - my next choice during the brrr SoCal winter months lol.) We especially love the garlic beef rolls, the many soups they have, and their sandwiches. Every food dish has a distinct flavor that you can not find anywhere else. It's hard to find a place that serves delicious food in a timely manner and the staff is very friendly. Plus they have just renovated the inside and offer an outside patio. Not so sure about this place. When my husband arrived, two people were eating at a table and he waited about five minutes for them to finish eating before they got up to take his order. Wow. He placed his order and another customer came in and place their order. When the orders were ready, the lady came out and said "you're together.....four orders, here's the orders". My husband and the other customer told the lady they weren't together, and she was so confused saying "wait! What's going on!?" And called the other employee in the back for clarification. She then handed a bag to the other customer and he left, then came back and double checked his order to make sure he got the right he one. Next, the employee came from the back to give my husband his order. The bag was leaking and my husband pointed it out and the guy said "oh yeah it's leaking" and handed it to my husband. My husband asked him if he could please give him a clean bag and sealed containers, and he did. My husband checked the order, and it was correct, thankfully, What a chaotic experience.
