The owner is so friendly and such a great person. She donates the profits to a non-profit helping people get back on their feet. She mentioned how she just took ownership and re-designing and decorating the cute little shop that has more than enough seating with the extension outside The Lemon Grass Tofu Bahn Mi Sandwich was so yummy! Everyone loved their Pho and i really liked my Vermicelli Noodles and my Garlic Beef Spring Rolls. I really loved the red sweet and spicy bottled sauce on the table . For drinks we got the thai tea with and without boba, and lychee Lemonade and both were really good.

The service here was self serve; they have a kiosk. Our sever was nice :). The outside area was cool, got some nice fresh air. The pho itself was nothing crazy. The broth was very light but had a distinct flavor that I can't seem to describe. The noodles were kinda soft kinda not.

UPDATE: Finally got that chance to claim that free chicken pho to replace the I ordered that did not have the chicken. I called the order in and the gentleman that took the call knew about the replacement -even if it was awhile back when I made that first order. He said he was going to get my order done straight away. I arrived and my order was ready -and still hot. Also, the man who took my order said he threw in a more pieces of chicken to make up for last time. Super appreciated that! All done eating now and it was delicious -there was also a nice little container of some garlic chili sauce which was yummy. Did not seat to eat but restaurant and lot were empty on 5:30pm Sunday. Will definitely come back for my pho craving.

Picked up their Togo special $11 for a beef pho. I ordered over the phone and it was ready in 10'mins. It was nicely packaged. The beef broth was tasty. The beef was soft. The only thing is meat portion is very little. You do get what you paid for. Plenty of free parking .

Cute little hidden gem in Los Alamitos. Food is fresh and delicious. Flavorful Pho! We wanted to try this place cause it just opened and so glad that we did. We will definitely come back. They have a "to go" Special on their pho.

TLDR: Good food, nice owner. Would eat again, but on a cooler day. Unfortunately a really hot day and not a whole lot of shade. We sat outside because there was kind of a fly issue inside. That being the case, We liked pretty much everything we ate. The eggrolls were nice and crispy and flavorful, the chicken pho and the combo pho were both excellent, rich broth and tender meat. The spring rolls were fresh tasting with a great peanut sauce, and the owner came out and was super nice too. Good place to eat if you're in the area.

The best pho and service. Portions are great size. The spring rolls are my favorite with the best peanut sauce!

The service was amazing, the owner, Michelle, was an amazing woman very hospitable! She greeted us with a smile and was attentive to all her costumers (even though my little family was 50% of the people in there). The food was amazing! I ordered a lemon grass beef bahn mi, brisket pho, spring rolls, and pork egg rolls, extra noodles, and Vietnamese iced coffee. Spent about $50 which to me isn't a lot especially when the food was delicious. When the food started coming out, I didn't expect the sandwich to be filled and big for $12. It was full of flavor and when the pho came out, it was flavorful as well. I had ordered extra noodles for the kids to eat on its own and Michelle offered free broth for the kids (we didn't need it but it was a nice gesture to offer). Overall experience it was great and worth the money spent! Definitely coming back!

Came in after about. A year and I was pleasantly surprised. The pho was delicious and the chicken egg rolls were good. You get a complimentary water when you dine in . The service was great, the lady was so kind. I watched her go above and beyond for every customer that came in. The ambience is so cute! Very nice date night spot

This place sounds good, especially no MSG is important to me. My question: Do they offer a (lunch) combination of half a bánh mì and a small phô?…

Not sure on the sandwich but ask for a children's bowl of Pho.

Don't hesitate to eat here…read more Great Thai restaurant hidden in a roadside complex where all the businesses look the same. There's even a hidden 7-eleven in there. On my way to my hotel, looking for a dinner spot, the name caught my eye. I decided to double back and was the best decision I had made all day. Single dining room restaurant with friendly polite young staff. One double-sided menu makes it easy for ordering. This evening, I ordered Thai Iced Tea, Massaman short rib curry, and the coconut rabbit dumplings. The coconut rabbit dumplings were over the top good! Uniquely prepared fried dumplings filled with ground seasoned meat and skewered on a tiny wooden pick with cucumber, papaya or mango, pepper relish was amazing. This is reason enough to dine here! The Thai iced tea was perfect. The Massaman curry was done right and with short rib meat was absolutely delicious. I think I would try it with pork next time. But if there is a next time, I probably would try their green curry. It was a tough choice. But I didn't regret my decision. This was my first visit, but not my last.

There are certain dishes we get every single time because they're just that good. The spicy garlic edamame is always a must. We also love the chicken yellow curry, the wonton soup, and the shrimp pad Thai, which always has the perfect balance of flavor. Another favorite is the blue crab fried rice, which is incredible. We also enjoy the shrimp fried rice, but we usually end up ordering the blue crab fried rice because it's so good. The beef pad see ewe is another dish we come back to again and again. And of course we always order the Thai iced tea, which is absolutely delicious and the perfect pairing with the meal. Before they expanded their sit-down restaurant, we ordered delivery from them all the time, and what really stood out was that their own team delivers the food. It's not a third-party service. They are always so kind, make sure you have everything you need, and the food is always packaged carefully and arrives in great condition. Now that they've expanded and have their sit-down restaurant, we actually drive from North Orange County just to come eat here, which says a lot about how much we love this place. You can truly feel the care and love that goes into the food, and you can taste it too. The service is always warm and welcoming, and it's easy to see why they've become such a local favorite. I would definitely get this again. The portion is actually pretty good too Scallop risotto- risotto was creamy and flavorful. Scallops were cooked well. They should put a disclaimer that you may only get 2 pieces instead of 3 as listed on the menu. When I asked the staff about it, the chef said it's because the pieces given are the same as 3 which was a bit weird since the pieces didn't look that big compared to the photos on Yelp. This dish also comes with a salad. Chicken katsu curry- I ordered it medium, but honestly the curry is on the sweeter side with no heat at all. You also get raisins which makes the curry even sweeter. For $26, it's not a good price point for this type of dish. You can get this dish for much cheaper at other establishments. I would pass on this dish. Staff was nice and interior is clean and a bit cramped. My meal was over $100 for the 3 items which I normally wouldn't mind if the quality offsets portions given. Be prepared to spend lots if you want to get full! Also, keep in mind they charge an NCA fee if you don't pay cash. This place is a solid 3.5 for me.

Mother's Day lunch at Halo Haus Buena Park with almost a 2-hour wait for the food…read more I was excited to check this spot out and going here for lunch with my mom for Mother's Day marked the perfect occasion. I drove all the way from the South Bay to go visit. We arrived around 11:15 a.m., 15 minutes after opening, and there were only 3 other orders ahead of us. All ordering is done through their kiosk. I noticed a sign that said all credit card transactions have a 3% fee. There was also another sign that they accept cash but only $20 bills. I asked to pay in cash to avoid the 3% fee but the employee there said they had just opened and so the register wasn't ready yet. Luckily, I had my debit card via Apple Pay and ended up using that instead. We chose to order the Miki Bihon ($17.95), Crispy Pata ($17.95) , Chop Suey with Chicken ($16.95) and a small scoop of rice ($1.75). I had originally planned to get the Wonton Soup but that was no longer on the menu. Similarly, many other dishes, including all their beef dishes were also unavailable. Our order was placed at 11:24 a.m., and was surprised that we didn't receive our food till about 12:15pm. I noticed there were other tables getting a bit impatient while waiting for their orders as well, but since it was Mother's Day, I figured that that items like Crispy Pata would naturally take longer. At first, I wasn't too frustrated with the 45 minute wait. When our orders came out, I was pleasantly surprised with the large portions of the Miki Bihon and Chop Suey. Tastewise, the Miki Bihon was flavorful, comforting and satisfying. The combination of soft egg noodles and thin rice noodles gave the dish a nice texture. The Chop Suey had a good mix of vegetables, but overall it lacked flavor and tasted a bit bland. It had a decent texture but the seasoning just wasn't there. The Crispy Pata was one of the dishes we came for and were looking forward to having this Mother's Day. It had a nice crisp on the outside, but unfortunately it seemed overcooked, and some parts were tough. Since we experience a bit of a wait for the savory items, my mom advised me to place our dessert order early. I ordered a small Supreme Halo Halo ($6.95). I had originally been eyeing the Mango Graham Halo Halo but similar to how many of the savory dishes were unavailable, this item was also not available. They also only had vanilla ice cream and no ube, unlike what is shown in their menu photos. My order went in at 12:29 p.m., and considering it was just a small halo halo, I did not expect a long wait. I was a bit shocked when it was 1:15 p.m. and my halo halo had not come out yet. I went up to the employee at the counter to inquire about it. She asked for my order number and name, then handed me a receipt. After that, I watched her go into the kitchen and only then started making the halo halo. When she finished and handed me the order, I asked why it took so long, and she mentioned something about how the receipt possibly not coming out of the system. I found this strange and honestly a bit frustrating. If I had not followed up, we likely would have continued to wait for a halo halo that would never have been made due to "receipt not coming through." She even asked if I had taken the receipt, which did not make sense. After the initial 45 minute wait for the savory dishes, another 45 minute wait for dessert felt a bit excessive. Overall, it was a good lunch, but that wait tested us. It was worth it for time with my mom though. I would best describe the visit here as "the good, the bad and the ugly." The good is the portion sizes and the pricing. The bad is that many menu items are not available. The ugly is the wait time. Waiting nearly 2 hours for all the food (45 minutes for the savory dishes and another 45 minutes for the halo halo) is simply too long. The biggest improvement would be their service and wait times.

We had to request vegetables several times and we noticed the other customers had to do the same. While we were there one customer who came alone was being very loud, swearing a lot, and generally ruining the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. This customer tried to complain loudly about his life, work, ex-girlfriend, etc. and kept bothering other customers. The staff should have said something or intervened but instead all the staff present decided to leave the main seating area and retreat to the back of the restaurant so they would not have to deal with this customer. This customer was drinking sake, acting erratically and talking to himself and other customers that did not want to interact with him. My wife and I noticed several customers leave the restaurant before finishing their food in order to avoid this uncomfortable situation. These customers came in after us and left sooner with much of their food left untouched. The lack of professionalism and inability of this staff to address this negative situation really ruined our experience and I will NEVER be going to this mokkoji location or any other again. There are many other shabu shabu options around and I would strongly suggest other people to look elsewhere and go to a restaurant where the staff are willing and able to handle a negative situation with a customer. I have worked in restaurants in the past and could not believe that not a single employee said anything to this customer for the entirety of our meal. Very disappointed to say the least.
