Got the pho special, which includes brisket, tripe, tendon, rare steak, and flank. The pho special (pho dac biet) usually comes with meatballs, but my order did not include any. The broth was light, and lacked the rich pho flavor I was expecting. I also ordered the chicken spring rolls, which were okay. They tasted like they were premade and had been sitting in the fridge rather than freshly prepared. Since this was a takeout order, I also did not receive any plastic utensils or chopsticks, which was disappointing. Portion sizes were small, and for the three items totaling around $60, it was not worth the price.

I've been dining at Pho Wagon since they opened about 13 years ago. If I remember correctly, the restaurant used to be a Burger King. They did a good job transforming it in to a Vietnamese restaurant. I hadn't eaten there in a few years until tonight. I'd never tried their pho before, but the reviews were positive. I had the beef pho delivered. The broth was extremely hot; I had to use pot holders to pour it into the bowl. They give you quite a bit of raw steak-- I couldn't believe how many pieces there were. Overall, the pho was very good, with flavorful broth that I enjoyed with the cilantro and onions they provide in a little bag. I also ordered the spring rolls with veggies, shrimp, and pork. They tasted fresh and delicious, and the peanut dipping sauce was very good, too. The pho is slightly more expensive than most places in San Jose. I don't mind paying more because of the large portions and because it tastes fresh and well prepared.

Nice family restaurant with good food. Sometimes I forget that this restaurant is here because it's a little bit hidden in a shopping center but the food is good and the people who work here are friendly. Fun trivia: this location used to be a Burger King.

Always consistent! I have ordered a bunch of different items from Pho Wagon including - lemongrass pork spring roll (harder to find these days), chicken pho, veggie pho, beef pho, lemongrass pork rice plate. Everything is consistent in flavor, the amount of food and the quality. Today I am enjoying the pork and egg roll with rice meal. Ordered to go and had great service on the phone. Plus it was ready when I arrived!

Your basic Pho. Nothing fancy schmancy. Small bowl is 17.50, large 19 A bit on the pricey end, good to get a craving but if you drive 8-10 min more you can find arguably better pho. Probably would come in a pinch as it's closer to Campbell pruneyard Meets the need, the service was fast. Ambiance is casual. Taste was aight

Came in on a Saturday night and this place can fill up during the later hours. Plenty of parking in the plaza but traffic can get busy due to all the to go orders. Started off with the fried shrimp which were great. They were a little hot so needed to let them cool down, but it also allowed them to become more crispy. I then moved onto a large bowl of make your own pho. Had the meatballs, rare steak, and brisket. This broth is so flavorful and came out piping hot. This place is clean and the service is friendly, but it is on the tad pricier side compared to other places.

My family has been going to and ordering from Pho Wagon since I was a kid! We dined in recently for dinner on a Tuesday so I wanted to write a review. I ordered the Vietnamese Chicken Salad and a Thai Tea. The Chicken Salad was huge, so tall! It was very refreshing though since it was hot out and just what I was craving, comes with a lot of chicken mixed in and a little bit of peanuts on the side. The Thai Tea comes in a tall glass also and was surprisingly pretty sweet. My mom custom-made her own pho and my grandma got a fried rice dish - both servings huge. My mom also got Coconut Juice which had coconut pieces in it. The staff was extremely kind as well, being very attentive and helping my grandma box her leftovers. Great family friendly and family owned feel restaurant!

Wanted to venture and try a new place so we went this last Wednesday. It wasn't necessarily cold but in between moving, working, schooling., and parental responsivities.. I haven't cooked in nearly 2 weeks. I move this upcoming Monday! Anyway. Read great reviews and wanted to try. Grateful I did. Parking wasn't an issue. This place can easily be missed since it's behind the gas station; accepts cards, takes phone orders, and they've partnered up w/ third party delivery services. Based on the calls and and orders staged for DoorDash and UberEats, I'd say that they are quite busy. The tables are spaced out and service was fast and friendly. The menu offers a variety and what I loved most is that they have a kid's portion for pho (comes w/ tai) but as we went about our meals, he wanted tripe so I ordered a side. The side we were given was extremely generous. My Pho Dac Biet was really goodm light and aromatic broth.. the crispy tofu is delicious, too. The chili sauce that accompanied it helped w/ the flavor otherwise it's pretty bland. We are not over this COVID BS yet, pls continue to support your local businesses!

I highly recommend order online in advance as the wait can be about 30-40 minutes. Upon arriving, the inside was packed with people waiting for their orders. I ordered the 6 eggrolls and asked for 3 regular eggrolls and 3 netted eggrolls so that I could try both. The eggrolls come with veggies (lettuce, mint, and cilantro). It also came with pickled veggies and fish sauce. I also ordered 4 of their nem nuong as not every Vietnamese spot offers this type of spring roll. These have grilled pork in them rather than pork and shrimp. It comes with its own sauce which I'm not sure what its made of. The nem nuong were delicious with the grilled pork and there is a crispy component inside, too. They taste fresh and the sauce is tangy. I like the addition of the small chili sauce they give you on the side. The real show stoppers have to be the eggrolls though. They are perfectly crispy and filled with delicious pork filling. The veggies they provide are really fresh and the pickled veggies helps to add more depth. The eggrolls themselves don't feel too heavy or oily either which I really appreciated. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly when I was picking up. Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot and can imagine how their party trays must be a big hit!

I was a bit skeptical of getting a hot noodle soup on a hot day, but I figured it'd be great to find a solid bun rieu spot closer to me than my current defaults all the way in Milpitas. The #1 came out first and rather quickly, the #10 took a bit longer but wasn't a long wait by any means. The first thing I noticed was that the plate of add-ins was rather unique, I've never received perilla leaves or banana flowers with my bun rieu before. The broth had great flavor and this soup did come with pork blood cubes. I would definitely come back for the bun rieu. Hot soup noodle soup on a hot day wasn't actually so bad. I tried some of the Special Rice Rolls and felt unsure, maybe it's an acquired taste but I wasn't an immediate fan.

May 26, 2026 -- San Jose, CA -- Five Bowls Before Common Sense…read more Huế is the kind of place where you walk in for an early dinner, or as I like to call it, a lunner/dunch situation, and walk out realizing your stomach has just signed a binding contract with central Vietnam. First warning: the parking lot is a mini-mall labyrinth. Even when spaces are available, the whole setup feels like it was designed by someone who had recently escaped a corn maze and still had unresolved issues. The Yelp map is accurate, but the Huế logo is not exactly screaming for your attention. If you see N7 Draft Tea + Coffee, park, breathe, let your eyes adjust, and then look around carefully. We drove past Huế the first time like amateurs. Once inside, the system is beautifully simple: sit down, bring hunger, point at the menu, order with courage, and accept your fate. For beginners, I would make it easy: order #1 bánh bèo, #2 bánh ram ít, #3 bánh bột lọc, #15 bún bò Huế, and #30 bánh xèo. Then eat like civilization may not survive the evening. The staff were warm, efficient, and charming. The lovely Vietnamese woman who helped us was polite enough to warn us that we might be ordering too much food once we added the bánh xèo. Naturally, we ignored this responsible adult advice and proceeded as if managing a major capital construction project with shrimp, herbs, broth, and crispy batter. She was right, of course. But sometimes being wrong is delicious. The bún bò Huế was excellent -- 4.7/5 for me. I only dock it a few tiny points because I would have loved some hot sauce and salty fish sauce on the side to push it into full nuclear glory. But the broth had that beautiful lemongrass depth, the meat was generous, and they did not skimp on the pork blood cubes. It had warmth, funk, comfort, and authority. The bánh xèo was a full 5/5. Golden, crisp, dramatic, and about the size of a small folding fan for royalty. The edges had that shattering crunch, and the pile of lettuce, mint, cilantro, and herbs made the whole thing feel like a mountain of forgiveness. Wrap it, dip it, crunch it, smile, repeat. The bánh bèo was my favorite of the appetizer trio -- 4.9/5. Little cups of savory, sticky, glutinous rice cake brilliance topped with shrimp powder, served with two mildly sweet fish sauces, one with pepper and one without. It is soft, salty, sweet, shrimpy, and dangerously easy to keep eating until you forget what errands you had planned for the rest of the day. The bánh ram ít was also very good -- 4.6/5. These were the little white, chewy dumplings sitting proudly on crispy golden fried bases, which is exactly the kind of textural engineering I respect. Soft on top, crunchy underneath, savory all the way through. A little delicate, a little bold, and very easy to keep eating even after your stomach has already asked for a project extension. The bánh bột lọc came in at 4.4/5 for me. Translucent, chewy tapioca dumplings with that shrimp-and-savory bite, plus the crispy pork rind pieces giving it a nice little textural ambush. Not my top dish of the meal, but still absolutely worth ordering. The Thai iced tea was a clean 5/5. Hard to mess up, but still: sweet, cold, creamy, and exactly what you want when your table looks like you accidentally ordered for a committee. Depending on when you wander in, there may be a thrifty breadcrumb hiding in the timing. I will say no more, because some blessings should not be shouted across a San Jose parking lot. The vibe here is not lingering over candles and discussing philosophy. The vibe is: eat, smile, eat more, pay, leave, and go home for a heroic cat nap. Huế is compact, casual, friendly, and very good at what it does. The only real obstacle is surviving the parking lot without questioning your life choices. Five stars. I came hungry, ordered recklessly, and left extremely happy.

Next time, I definitely want to dine in and try their other menu items as well :)
