Tasty Pork and Comforting Pho! My husband and I had dinner at Pho Viet last Friday. We ordered the rare beef and beef meatball pho, grilled pork, crispy egg roll, and Vietnamese iced coffee. The grilled pork was absolutely tasty. The pho broth was light and comforting, though the noodles themselves could've used a bit more flavor. Still, the overall dish was warm and satisfying. The crispy egg rolls were a hit--crunchy outside and flavorful inside. And the iced coffee was strong, sweet, and gave us that perfect caffeine kick to end the meal. The place was cozy and clean, and service was friendly and quick. If you're craving authentic Vietnamese food, this spot is definitely worth trying!. read more

Holy Pho,the veggie Pho was delicious AND gigantic! The pho was so flavorful, veggies tender and tofu was perfect! Pork chop was tender and juicy, and egg rolls were crispy and very tasty. Great portion sizes. The Xl Pho is only $1 more than regular, and it's 40% larger! Service was fast. They were quick to fill our water and clear unused plates. Having gone to a nearby Thai food location near here and a Pho location in Northern Virginia yesterday, I thought I'd try this Pho establishment to experience any regional differences and how it would compare. The atmosphere is pleasant, good spacing between tables and good parking outdoors (it's located in a strip mall environment, so lots of parking. The menu has a lot of choices and variety to select from, meat, shrimp, fried tofu, vegetarian and the staff is willing to work to better match the customer's desire. I ordered the vegetarian spring rolls, with the peanut sauce. I was a bit disappointed to find the only veggies was a very small amount of a lettuce leaf, tiny piece of basil (a small leaf), a slice of fried tofu, and a large amount of noodles, which be itself would be too filling to have anything else to eat on the menu. The peanut sauce was mainly hosin sauce with crushed peanuts on top of it. It wasn't bad but it wasn't a peanut base I'm used to getting (and like) to use with the spring rolls. Next I ordered tge smaller size of the vegetarian pho, with far less noodles than normally in it. I added some spice to it as well as the leftover "peanut sauce," and a touch of soy sauce. I added the fresh lime juice, bean sprouts an jalapeno slices provided on the side for people who want them in the pho or snack on outside the soup. The pho came with carrot, mushroom, baby corn, fried tofu, noodles, celery, broccoli and calififlower. In exchange for far less noodles I was given a baby boy choy which I appreciated. The pho was very good and the volume of contents was good as well. The prices are fair (and lower than more expensive areas like Northern Virginia, DC, Montgomery County, MD). I recommend this place and I will return when I'm in the area and to the Northern Virginia Pho location when I'm in that area. Additionally, I'll continue visiting other vegetarian offering locations in PA, MD, VA I've reviewed as well, including the non-vegetarian places I've visited and those I will visit in the future that offer menu choices I can order. For example Longhorn Steak offers sweet and regular potatoes, French onion soup, some vegetable sides and salad that are vegetarian friendly if you ask them to hold the meat and dairy products and use either no oil or other fats or the bare minimum. I gave one less star than I would otherwise have because of the spring rolls and (not really) peanut sauce. If not for the staff willingness to better match the customer's desire by modifying the menu slightly, this would have just 2 stars, not the 3 I gave. read more

Was staying around here and found this gem. The soup broth was sooooooooo flavorful!! It was such a joy eating this and the shrimp tempura thing we got as an all was nice and crispy. Everything was just so overwhelmingly wonderful. Although I will note that I was quite dehydrated after this meal. I don't care tho cuz it was worth it! What a nice find. We were in the area and saw this Vietnamese restaurant listed in Yelp with a high rating. We haven't had Vietnamese is a while so it was a good option. It's a small restaurant with maybe 10-12 small tables. The service is quick and friendly while the food was fresh and tasty. This place gets crowded with eat in and with people coming in for take out orders. So I would plan on going earlier to make sure you get a table. The pho was good. However, the "rare beef" in mine wasn't rare, and the chicken in my husband's was chewy. The bok choy in his was a nice touch. The bean sprouts could have been fresher (the tips were brown/black and slightly slimy). The spring roll was unusually large, but mostly just noodles inside. Service was fine. read more

Ok. I love this place. Eat in only. Do not get it delivered. I had my sights on one thing and was crushed. The noodles was better left me to cook them at home. As I stated, I have ate there in person and it's great just don't get it delivered. Let me say. I am going to add to this. I stopped by personally And they were kind to talk to. I love coming to this place. I work not to far from here and would stop by this place by myself for a quick meal. It's a small place so as soon as you walk in, you see all the table and a little counter for the cashier and the cook behind it. It's cute and quaint. You can sit wherever, immediately greeted by the waiter. Then they would bring you a cup of water and the menu without asking. I love that, for I always have to wait on my water any where else. I ordered, today, a wonton soup and B2, grilled pork and egg roll with noodles. It doesn't take long for the food to be prepared. As soon as I got the food, the smell is a big indication that the food will taste just as good. Everything was delicious! On the table, you are already set with their hot chili oil, hoisin sauce and soy sauce and eating utensils. Other restaurants charge you for their chilli oil, so this was a big plus! So all in all, food was delicious and reasonably priced. my whole meal was roughly $21. The service is always amazing. Delicious!! I put in a to-go order for their pho & Vietnamese cold coffee and it was amazing. It was ready when I got there roughly 10 minutes once I placed the order. They made sure to pack the broth, tofu,& all condiments (lime,bean sprouts,jalapeño, etc) together with chopsticks & other utensils which most places don't do anymore. I love their plethora of vegetarian options which is hard to find in Hagerstown. The Vietnamese cold coffee with condensed milk blows away any coffee I've had. This rivals the best pho I've had in the DC area, including close to Eden Center, and that's saying something. What I think of as summer rolls, here called spring rolls, rice paper wrapped rolls that aren't fried, with shrimp and pork, lettuce, and noodles, with a sweet peanut sauce (a tad too sweet) were really fresh, well wrapped, delicious, perfect with the chili sauce (the one with all the seeds, dark red) in the condiment basket. My pho (P1) with beef meatballs, flank, big eye round, tendon, and tripe was delicious, balanced, fragrant, a large portion that I happily slurped up in its entirety even though I really could have saved half for a second lunch later this week. Noodles were perfectly cooked, chewy still but not at all stuck together. And the grilled pork with fried pork noodle stuffed spring rolls over thin rice noodles with some pickled carrots and lettuce was just perfect. The noodles were really springy and al dente, among the best I've had. The place is pretty new, completely clean, inviting, not fancy but warm. If I'm ever in the area, I'll happily come back! We eat here regularly. Consistently very good food. We love the variety of pho and the broth for it is lovely. Have also tried other soups, each very good, and each with distinctly flavored broths. Good broth is key to goo Vietnamese soups. This place has good broths. The vermicelli salad bowls are also delicious and easily customizable (pic of one below with chicken, shrimp and a roll). Another common "go to" for us here. The fried chicken wings appetizer is some of the crispiest wings we've had around here. Even coming delivery they CRUNCH. Thai teas are tasty as well. i just want to give unbiased review. i came from Texas and visited Washington DC. I tried multiple pho around the area and just inform you that pho is my go to place when i crave for vietnamese soup. I hit the lopes at white tail ski resort and got cold so a warm soup is the answer for this craving. I came around 2pm and store was empty but i was greated by the host with a smile. that's is a good start. i order P1 pho no. 1 and pork egg roll. The soup looks huge and a lot of meat and noodles yumm. Although when i tasted them it seem like a different seasoning from my usual pho that i had tried everywhere, but this is just my own personal opinion pls don't hate me. It's good and flavorful but the authentic pho flavor seems like it's a little different. I also like the atmosphere and the place looks decent. I will still recommend them to anyone wanted to eat some vietnamese soup. i can understand that everyone have their own way of cooking and sometimes each chef/Cook season them different, but the customer service here is excellent i will definitely be back here again. When i was about finish my big meal people start coming in the restaurant so i know they have well established customers. read more
