When I first visited this place I didn't expect much. The overall ambience is somewhat mediocre but nicely quiet. But then as we visit more and more the service is consistently very good, the soup is consistently good, and the food, I always have clear soup and tempura shrimp, is consistently very good. Very delicious and good service. I have one small piece of advice and/or constructive criticism. I understand that as a general guideline, many people enjoy whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and sprinkles on their dessert. However, in my personal opinion, I don't necessarily believe it should be the topping of mochi. On the card at the table it was a picture of plain mochi, but there were additional toppings not disclosed. Unfortunately I can't eat that as certain ingredients in it make me sick, so I did choose to say nothing and scraped it off as best I could. Perhaps have it as an optional addition. The sushi it self is really good for the price that you pay, along with the service when we go there it's really friendly and fast. Only thing holding me back from giving it 5 stars is when it's busy there isn't enough room in there to have a convo without hearing everyone else's. The food aspect is really good tho! read more

We were pretty excited to have hibachi and Thai options closer to home, especially after some unpleasant experiences at Finn. We were pleasantly surprised to see sushi on the menu as we're big fans. Whenever coming across a new sushi place, we get a sample of nigiri or sashimi before diving in as we're particular and quality of raw fish can mean either repeat business or never seeing us again. The sushi appetizer was delicious and presented beautifully. I also liked having a choice between the high-octane soy sauce and the low-sodium variety. The vegetable tempura was also very good. The sign out front says hibachi and I was expecting the table-side experience. However, that's not the case here. The noodles and vegetables were tasty, but the steak and shrimp were a little dried out and under seasoned compared to what I've come to expect. Mixing them up with the noodles helped a bit with the dry meat. Keep in mind that some of the hibachi dishes are about half the price of Kobe across town. They don't have adult beverages, which is peculiar, but not a deal breaker. My wife's Udon dish was pretty good. I do plan on coming back and trying one of the curry dishes. read more

We came around lunch time on a weekday and they were pretty busy, a lot of take out orders, very efficient. We didn't have to wait to be seated. We sat at a table, they're not a hibachi restaurant where they cook on the table the food is cooked hibachi style, small pieces then brought to you. Very good, large quantities and excellent prices. My meal was 10.00 I also ordered sushi very ,very good. Runs around 3.00 dollars a piece depending on the type.The steak was small and tender enough to eat with chop sticks. The rice was chop stick worthy as well. The waitstaff is quick and pleasant. It's ideal if you're on lunch break or just casual dining, it has a fast food seating vibe, not a sit down and stay awhile style. Bathrooms are very clean well kept and spacious. read more

Friendly staff... Beyond that, not much to offer. Standard sushi/habachi menu with nothing to drink but water and fountain soda. No coffee or tea and no juice for kids. Tried the sushi, hibachi steak/shrimp, and chicken pad thai. The sushi was bland but tolerable, everything else was oily and had a burnt taste to it making it hard to enjoy. The first thing that you need to know is that although this place sells hibachi style meals, they do not cook at the table like other hibachi places in the area. Personally, I don't mind this at all - I mean, how many times do I need to see a guy make an onion volcano, or flip a shrimp into someones mouth? The upside of them doing their cooking this way is that the food is cooked faster (because they are just cooking it instead of putting on a show), and the prices are really low. The restaurant is clean, and our server was good as well. The really impressive part was the food. With a hibachi dinner, you get your choice of protein with your choice of rice (white or fried) or lo mein noodles, mixed vegetables and your choice of soup or salad. Get a soup. The salads, just like every other hibachi place, are just a little bowl of forgettable lettuce... Frankly, I'm glad they give you the choice of not getting a salad, because I never really want the ones that they give you at other hibachi places. My wife and I got the steak hibachi meal (with lo mein for me and rice for her) and miso soup. As you can see from the picture, the portion sizes are insanely generous considering that the meal is only $9. NINE! And it's not just a bunch of vegetables and rice - they give you a lot of steak. That's a great deal. We went for lunch and deliberately over ordered so we could just have leftovers for dinner... so we ordered a bunch of sushi as well, and an order of gyoza as an appetizer. When the bill came, the total for gyoza, 4 kinds of nigiri sushi, a specialty sushi roll, 2 steak dinners with soup, and two drinks was just under $55 with tax, and we had more than enough food left over for dinner. We have come here a lot during the end of the pandemic. Usually for dine in only. Food was always amazing. Tonight however it was awful. The steak was over cooked and tasteless. Not enough sauce on the food. Meat was just dry. Spending almost $100 on carry out left me really disappointed in a place my family usually loves. It was truly sad. Really good sushi for a great price. The rolls are also huge and I find myself filling up on two rolls instead of my normal three. I love ordering takeout from here as they are fast and efficient. This has by far been the BEST new restaurant Martinsburg has gained in years! The food is always fresh, hot, and delivered with great service. Most hibachi meals are around 10 dollars. Each one comes with noodles or rice, and soup or salad! The portions are HUGE, and can last for two meals easily! The sushi is good, but wish it was chilled a bit more, as I like my sushi really cold. That's just a personal preference though. I live in Stephens City, VA and we often drive down just to get food from here. We just so happen to be in the area and decided to get dinner to go. We get all the way back home which is a little over 30 minutes away. I pull out my meal and there was a 4 inch hair in my food. Which I of course lose my appetite. I tell my fiance there's a hair my food and I don't even want it anymore. About this time he pulls a hair out of his meal!!!!. So this is now two hairs that we find in each of our meals. The horrible thing about the hair we found in his meall is that it was literally attached through a piece of the steak. So, I call the restaurant to let them know that we found hairS in our food. The lady answers the phone I tell her about the hair we found she immediately starts arguing with me saying that no one in the restaurant has long hair. My family is African American with very curly hair. This hair was straight! We did not take a single bite out of our food. It's not the fact we found hair it was the customer service we were given after we called. The lady was basically saying we were lying and no one there has long hair. As I said the hair was about 3 to 4 inches long. So, we drove over 30 mins back down to the restaurant because it was beyond the hair in the food at this point. I got my money back but she continued to be nasty and rude about us finding hair in our food! I will never eat here again. read more

This is the best Asian food we have ever had! No more $90 bill to go to Kobe and be served each portion of the meal separately. The food was delicious, the shrimp large and cooked perfectly, the rice was wonderful and fresh and nothing was loaded with garlic. Five of us ate for $50 and had enough left for leftovers the next day. Only complaint is we have to go get it. Get on Door Dash-please! read more

This place was recommended to us, but I would not recommend it to anyone. The salad is just a small bowl of purely ice burg lettuce and the lettuce at the bottom was old. My seaweed salad was ok, but came with more lettuce than the actual salad. The hibachi chicken and rice was actually good. But we had to share that plate because my sushi didn't come till about 5 minutes after we both finished the salad and meal. We were ready to leave at that point. And the sushi... uhg. I got the holiday roll. I don't think the salmon on it was fresh at all. I tried one piece and smelled it and just didn't seem fresh or taste good. I didn't want to risk getting sick so didn't eat the rest. The whole layout of the place really sucks. It's small with no room. They crammed as many tables in as they possibly could. Very Rude manager.. I ordered several items and was asked to come back in 20min. When I returned the young lady behind the counter went to get my food. when she gave it to me I noticed the Sushi roll was wrong. So I then told her the rest of my order was correct but not the roll. The cashier then raises her voice telling me I was in error and that she made what I asked for. I repeated this is NOT what I ordered, however she continued to tell me I was wrong and I had to keep it. this caused the woman behind me to check her bag, and her order was wrong as well. However they (the staff) quickly jumped to correct it without controversy. The female cashier comes back and says so what are you going to do? I then said you can correct my order or give my money back. This went for like 5 minutes...She continued to complain and begrudgingly went to correct my order only after I requested my money back and the older gentleman said he would fix it. I asked why she wasn't willing to help me the same way she did the other woman whose order was wrong as well (who happened to be Caucasian) She gave no answer and continued to have an attitude. There were two other people in the store that happened to be Caucasian that agreed that I was being treated differently. First time. Very bland food. Ordered hibachi shrimp, hibachi steak & scallops, salmon avocado roll, yellowtail scallion roll, fried rice, and an order of spring rolls. The hibachi meals came with salads. The salad dressing didn't have much flavor. The yum yum sauce didn't have much flavor. The shrimp was overdone. The steak wasn't edible, literally unedible. The sushi was mostly rice, very little fish on either roll. Both rolls were bland. The best part out of the entire expensive meal was the cheap spring rolls. We do not recommend this place if you are an experienced Asian food eater (meaning you've eaten at several Asian restaurants and know what you like). There are other places around here that make the same stuff for the same price and is much more flavorful. Who knows, maybe this place is actually great and this was just a one off due to COVID-19.
