Pretty solid spot, nothing that makes it really stand out. I will say the sushi was certainly the best part of this entire meal, I had a few other varieties that were super fresh. The chicken and broccoli sauce was a little off to me. Not sure why but the flavor just didn't really come together like I've had with others. I know this is a basic meal when it comes to this cuisine but sometimes I'm just looking for that comfort meal. I provably would not order chicken and broccoli from here again. Found this place close to the hotel we stayed at when bringing my daughter to visit Shenandoah University. Food was quite good, though it did take a couple tries to convince the kitchen to make my wife's vegetarian dish vegetarian. But everything was ultimately delicious and the server made every effort to give us a nice dining experience. Will definitely plan to return if we end up back in the area again. read more

The sushi rolls were delish we ordered, the salad is huge and good (love ginger dressing), the veggie spring rolls were very good. I ordered a chicken platter, it was so dry so I ordered something completely different.. yup dry. My friend ordered a drink with sugar, it came with salt. Okay, mistakes happen. This place has went down hill. My meal was cold and salad dressing was grainy. The worst part was the server had their thumb and thumbnail full on in my food when it was served. Pro: big parking lot, friendly staff, clean environment, big TV, bar. Con: price, food. Wanted to eat out on a Thursday night and thought to give this place a try. Upon entering the store it was a shock to see all the booth area was full for a weekday night so,we had to settle for a high top table. For appetizer I ordered the Vietnamese summer roll & the calamari. The rolls was very good but the peanut sauce that they provided was not authentic. The calamari was pretty good with the tangy sauce was nice. For the entree I had the chicken Pad Thai which was decent but not the best I ever had. Also, on a side note my friend order the pho and at best it was only average so wouldn't recommend. After finishing my meal I develop Abd pain and when I went to work the next day I was feeling so sluggish. Another negative is that the cost of the items are expensive. All in all, gave this place a try but will most likely not be returning in the future. read more

I ordered a carry out meal a couple of days ago from this Sakura restaurant. I ordered chicken and shrimp for the meat selections. When I got home and opened it up to eat, I was very disappointed and unhappy with the VERY small amount of meat in the order. There were exactly only two pieces of shrimp and not much more chicken. The online ordering system and descriptions of the food were appreciated too! Sometimes it can be packed and service can be a little slow but typically it's not an issue. Everything on the menu is great. I typically go for the sushi or chicken bento box! Highly recommend it! Ordered over the phone for pick-up. The staff was friendly over the phone and in-person :) I ordered the Korean Bulgok Beef with the fried rice. It was delicious and I loved that the vegetables it came with were good, hearty veggies (zucchini, asparagus, onions, & peppers). My husband ordered the Thai Garlic Chicken and it was not nearly as good. Was actually kind of bland in flavor. He had to add some sriracha to give it a flavor boost. We had the most wonderful lunch at Sakura yesterday. The staff is super accommodating. Both of my parents are in wheelchairs and they did everything to make them feel comfortable. Convenient and tasty! This place is more like a Chinese-Japanese fusion as many of the dishes have a more Chinese flavor, but still very tasty.
