It was warm and comfortable with jazz playing over the speakers. The service was slow, they had two people working one of which was too young to serve alcohol. This slowed service down quite a bit, to go orders were occupying a lot of the main servers attention. Clearly they need more help, but those working were friendly. They only had one server on a Friday night and you could tell he was overwhelmed but trying his best. The food still came out within a decent amount of time and was pretty good for this area. It's been several years since we've been here (way before having kids). My son really wanted to come since he passes by it numerous times on his trip to get wings from BDubs. It's a small joint that you could easily pass if you didn't know where it was. We tried to come in before the dinner rush. But surprisingly there were a good amount of tables filled. It took a while to get service until the owner got some much needed Calvary to help with tables. My honest opinion: the food taste better than it may appear. The bulgogi and noodles has some tremendously great flavor. My son's bibimbap was huge. My spicy tuna roll only came with six pieces but they were packed with tuna. The only thing I'll say was underwhelming was the donkatsu, only because we like our pork thicker and not super thin. All in all the meal was delicious and the owner is very welcoming. We visited on 2/14/25. Valentine's Day. Told we had to wait about 15/20 mins because we didn't have a reservation. Okay very fair. But as we sat and waited in the car (they're not a big establishment to begin with) we saw many groups that came in and were seated. We saw that the bar and one table had a reservation sign so I knew that people being seated were not accounted into the "reserved" tables. Told my husband to go in and see what's going on. Then was told they were ready. We sat down and the man maybe manager? handed us the menu and before we could even open them rudely asked what we wanted to drink making no eye contact. I asked for a coke he said you mean Pepsi? My husband asked for a sprite. Again rudely snapped back with STARRY? Then left. Told us our waiter would be back to take orders. She came took orders and we maybe saw her twice... I got a few sushi rolls and we got pho as well. My Winchester roll was ehhh. Over fried and dry and topped with too much imitation crab meat with some sauce. I took a bite of one eel and avocado roll and thought I was imagining until I took a bite of my second piece and realize the eel was fully boned! Never ever experienced that! The pho was nothing special. Just tasted like salt water.... Also the pho came out fast but I couldn't even get my miso soup until about 20 mins later. When I asked the man he was RUDE! He said : it's Valentine's Day so everyone orders sushi it's just going to come out when it can. Almost like he was annoyed I asked when I sat in a dinning area with nothing in front of me. I mean not even the miso soup? Not to mention he responded to the next dinning table kindly and apologized for the wait but it should be coming up soon. They were seated after us. I WOULD NOT recommend this place. Food was NOT good. That man should be ashamed of his behavior. Even if it's busy you don't treat one table different from the other. Do better! read more

Came here for the first time with my family. They love Mr. Noodle! The food was good, the spicy pork wasn't that spicy, but the sauce on the side helped kick up the heat for the dish. The waiter was great! For being short staffed he took care of all the tables around, including ours quickly and with great customer service. Only thing I wasn't impressed by was the sushi we ordered. It isn't bad food, but it isn't anything to write home about, either. The spring rolls were a bit doughy, which was weird. And, the filling was on the skimpy side. The chicken fried rice was not indicative of how Asian food should taste. It was quite bland, and the chicken and eggs were over cooked. The beef yakisoba was good. The flavor was there and the presentation was appealing. Our waitress was obviously overwhelmed, but she did her best to please all of the guests. I can't knock her, because there was no doubt that she was trying. But, they definitely need more staff, as our check took 15 minutes to receive. Where is the beef? I was looking for traditional Pho number 1, mixed with beef, meatball, tripe. They only sell pho with one meat choice. The pho also does not come with the vegaetabke platter in the side. All the veggies are served in the soup. This is only a problem if you don't usually prefer one something, like jalapeño. I usually have a party of five and we all fix up our pho bowls uniquely. You can't do that here. It is still good to have some pho and there are not any other places in Winchester for pho. The broth had a good flavor. So it is good if you know what to expect. read more

This place seems very "hole in the wall, off the beaten path" in its directional nature, but I was very very pleased to find that everything I ordered was amazing. From the Pho to the sweet and sour shrimp the table ordered, I enjoyed it all. If you're up for trying something new, order the kimchi, it was pleasantly surprising. The service was a little slow, but completely friendly. Our server, Stella was so helpful and actually stopped to have a conversation with us, making us feel at home. Must give a shout out to Kristopher our Server, as I can't imagine there is a harder working waiter in all of Winchester--he had about 10-12 tables, which accounts for every table in Mr Noodle and Rice that he cared for while we dined. Their food and service was so much better several years ago. Recently we went back for dinner and they were obviously understaffed. The place was packed and the waiter was by himself taking everyone's order, taking food to the tables, handling payments, answering the phone... He was obviously stressed. There was a sushi chef (not japanese) but he was just dedicated to making sushi. I had the beef bulgogi and it's nothing special. I could've made this myself. My friend had crispy noodles but it was soaked in too much sauce. We will not be returning anytime soon read more

I've eaten here a couple of times, but it was the first time that I ate here after over a year of not eating here. Each time has been very good. I never knocked the place for poor food. The portions are big, the prices are fair, and the place is very clean. Today, I ordered the Sumai, as well as a chicken and beef pho (you can order all 3 meats (chicken, beef, and shrimp), but it runs about $12, if you get one of the meats it is a lot cheaper, but I wanted to see what it'd all would taste like. First off, the Sumai is 6 small pieces of shrimp dumpling on top of a ginger salad. It is all very good, a very nice appetizer and does what it is supposed to do, make you hungry and ready for your main course (it is easy to want more). When the pho arrived, it came in a HUGE bowl, with a nice helping of noodles, beef, chicken, Brussels sprouts, and 2 jalapeno peppers. Needless to say, it was all terrific. The meats were all very tasty and were fresh, the noodles were perfect and were not skimpy, and the jalapenos, while, well, you know how jalapenos are, they didn't ruin the soup. I recommend eating the two first just to get them out of the way. I am happy I ordered the pho, as well as the other items I've ordered (I've also had a Yaki udon, and a seafood soup, all of which were great themselves, but the pho beats them all. I'll be coming back on a nice cold day and just eat this non-stop. A very nice recommend for Korean food in the area. read more

Mr. Noodle & Rice has quickly become one of my favorite Asian restaurants in the area. My wife and I have been twice now and both times the food has been very delicious and the prices are VERY reasonable. The first time we went was on a Thursday night and it was packed for a Thursday. This most recent time we went was on a Tuesday and it was less busy, about half full. The first time we ventured there, the service was kind of slow. I think this is due to the fact that one server takes all the tables, about 15 in total so she was probably overwhelmed a bit. However the food made up for the slow service. This most recent time we got a food very quickly. The first time I went, I got the chicken yakisoba and it was very flavorful and not overly oily. The noodles and chicken were cooked perfectly. Not sure if they hand make the noodles but they taste very fresh. This most recent visit I tried the chicken bento box and it was amazing! The box came with the chicken stir fry w/ steamed rice, salad, 2 California rolls and two dumplings. The dumplings and California rolls were amazing! My favorite part. I also added a cup of miso soup for $1 (can't beat that price). Both visits my wife got the chicken fried rice which is probably the BEST chicken fried rice I've ever had. Very comparable to PF Chang's, didn't taste like takeout Chinese, tasted VERY fresh. Overall this has become one of our favorite spots in Winchester. I highly recommend trying it! read more

We have found our happy place! We came here based on other reviews and had to try it. We were not disappointed! This place is very clean and has no bad odors unlike other places. 1st time we got here we ordered sushi and sashimi for 2 and we were very pleased with the quality. The food is okay especially for the price but the service was probably the worst I've ever experienced, and I used to serve tables so I'm pretty forgiving. This guy couldn't handle the three tables he had at the end of the lunch shift. He never seemed in a hurry to get things done, like bringing me the menu or a drink, and took a smoke break in front of the restaurant while on his phone. And didn't go straight to the back to wash his hands when he decided to come back to work. Unfortunately there was no one else to speak to about it so I'm putting it here.
