Home cooking pho. They are known for their ox tail pho. It's a generous portion with about 4 large ox tails. Comforting and good. Service is quick. Prices are reasonable. I also had their specialty combo pho (dac biet). Was good and generous with the ingredients. Broth tasted like ox tail.

Phở Vie is the spot for Vietnamese Comfort Food Fix if you are not in the mood to cook but still want something warm, hearty, and comforting. It serves up legit Vietnamese rice plates that'll save your hunger and wallet. Only $12 a plate (cash only) and honestly it's a rare steal in SoCal these days! Each rice plate comes loaded with: Steamed rice A perfectly fried egg Side salad A small bowl of comforting pho broth We tried: #36 Cơm sườn nướng Trứng Chiên (Pork Chop Rice Plate) It came with TWO big juicy pieces of grilled pork chop. Legit value. #37 Cơm Thịt nướng Trứng Chiên (BBQ Pork Rice Plate) Sweet-savory grilled pork, classic and satisfying! Phở Vie has 2 locations and I visited the one right next to Shun Fat Supermarket in Westminster. (2025/7) Phở Vie (Location 1) 15440 Beach Blvd., #128, Westminster, CA 92683 Phở Vie II (Location 2 - in Garden Grove) 10120 Westminster Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92843 Both are Cash only! (ATM inside)

A hidden gem. The best oxtail pho soup around! The portions are great for the price. All their food is cooked fresh. They do take cash only though.

Pho place is connected to the supermarket so they have plenty of parking in the plaza. The service people are elderlys and do things the old school way. They don't take care so it's cash only. They have a small atm machine in their restaurant. The place is spacious with many tables. We were going to try the oxtail soup that day, but they ran out. Pho tastes authentic haha probably with msg too, but it is good and decent pricing. Coffee was great because my fiance loved it. Will be back if ever need comfort food

Rice Noodle Soup with Oxtail (Phở Đuôi Bò, $12 for a small bowl)

I haven't been here that often... maybe 10 times or more? A solo Valentine's Day called for delicious Vietnamese food. I found a great, unpretentious spot serving amazing, classic dishes at fantastic prices. It's a shame so many people stick to pho, because there's so much more to explore! One of my favorites is "Dodging Beef" (Bò Né, $17), aptly named for the way the sizzling filet mignon sends hot oil splattering. It's served on a hot plate with your choice of white or fried rice. I ordered mine medium-rare - rare is too raw for me, and well-done is like chewing jerky. The steak is already well-seasoned, so the accompanying soy sauce is unnecessary. The sizzling sound, the melting butter, the rich aroma of beef - pure comfort. Another must-try is the Stir-fried Egg Noodles with Mixed Vegetables, Tofu, and Mushroom (Mì Xaò Chay, $14). I call them "bird's nest noodles" - I always go for the crispy ones. The Steamed Rice with Pork Chop & Fried Egg (Cơm Sườn Nướng Trứng Chiên, $12) is a Vietnamese-style grilled pork chop rice dish, I think. It comes with a pungent but delicious fish sauce - a staple in Vietnamese cuisine. While most pho places offer the usual beef and tripe, this restaurant has a fantastic Rice Noodle Soup with Oxtail (Phở Đuôi Bò, $12 for a small bowl). Each bowl is loaded with three generous pieces of oxtail. And since the price is the same with or without noodles, it's a no-brainer! I always add the fresh bean sprouts and basil the moment the broth arrives, letting them wilt in the heat. A squeeze of lemon over everything ties it all together.

Running late and forgot about dinner, my husband wanted some pho and this was the closest place at the moment and was open late. I wasn't a fan personally, just lacked flavor. Service was good, food came fast. LASTLY: cash only there is an atm inside

"5-Star Chili Experience! Indulge in there mouth-watering beef soup packed with nutritious greens, spicy chili peppers, and served with a soothing cup of hot tea. Plus, enjoy a complimentary side dish that perfectly complements their signature chili! Visit them today at 405 Beach Blvd and experience there exceptional hospitality! Note: Cash only, please. They can't wait to serve you!"

Okay. Open late. Quick service. Thai iced tea not my fav. Ambience - wasn't too crowded. Lots of space. Cash only!!!

Delicious egg roll, pork, shrimp over noodles.

Had oxtail soup, and eggroll, pork with shrimp over noodles. Both were delicious. Great food and reasonable prices made up for no ambiance. No frills mom and pop place.

Oxtail .. so good and tenderly delicious

Food was really good and affordable! Service was fast and good for big group too! The place was not bad but it's cleaned! I came here before and came back today after we had a massage at the Bali Spa!

Pho with Kobe Beef

So my Dad wanted to get some things from Shun Fat (sp?), and I was hungry for some Pho in this crummy weather we've been having the past couple weeks, so my parents and I wanted to try out Pho Vie which is right around the corner in the same shopping center as SF. One thing, though: CASH ONLY!! I read some reviews of this place before heading out to Pho Vie, and they also said this place takes only cash. So if you want to get some lunch here, PLAN ACCORDINGLY!!! Oh, and if you're a card person or you forgot your cash, you're pretty much screwed, because a couple of days ago, I saw that the ATM was out of order (and it's one of those "surcharge" types of ATMs, so again, plan accordingly. Anyway, onto the review: The waitresses/servers understand little to no English, so if you want to give them your order, just give them the number. And if you need or have questions about your order or need some more tea, etc., just give them a wave. I had the Pho with the Kobe beef, and it was all right; not bad, but all right. Tasted a little bit of the MSG, but other than that, the soup itself was piping hot, and the pho noodles were not too al dente. The meat was perfectly cooked, and not chewy at all. So aside from the "Cash only" business and the servers not understanding English well, this place is a hit or miss.

Cash only! Ambiance is not nice lol it's your mom and pop restaurant vibes BUT the pho here is SO GOOD. The service is pretty fast. Once you order, your food will come out within 5min. I've only tried their Pho with Oxtail. The small size is $12 and $14 and let me tell you.. they give ALOT of oxtail. Their pho broth is clear yet so flavorful and their oxtail literally falls off the bone and it super tender. I know Pho 79 is known for their Oxtail Pho, but always seem to run out at certain time. Pho Vie never seem to run out whenever I come here and I come during lunch time. The price and the quality of this oxtail pho is what makes it 5 stars despite the ambiance. And no need to wait in line. I would say this place is for locals and the customers are typically elder/boomer generations. I rarely see millennials here. They also open till really late so really good place to visit without having to wait in line!

I've never had a bad experience eating in Westminster so I thought a restaurant near one of my favorite grocery stores would be great! It wasn't. Walking into the restaurant, you could see tons of tables with dirty plates and cups. The restaurant basically had no empty tables. If a table didn't have a party eating there, there were dirty plates and cups taking up space instead. It took me and my family 15 minutes of awkward standing around and wondering if we should eat elsewhere for an employee to clean up a table for us. Everyone I saw had to basically do the same thing: stand around awkwardly near the entrance, have employees stare at you but will not acknowledge you, and wait for an employee clean up a table that had dirty plates and cups for who knows how long. The food was okay. I couldn't finish mine. My noodles were stuck to each other so they probably weren't fresh. I got the #15 Phở Bò Viến or Rice Noodle Soup w/ Beef Meatballs, #5 Trà Thái or Thai Tea, and #14 Bình Trà or Hot Tea Pot. The Thai Tea tasted watery, but it was better than the noodles. The Hot Tea was just hot tea, can't go wrong with it. I wouldn't mind the bad service if the food was phenomenal, but there's no redeeming trait about this restaurant. I honestly wouldn't come here again.

I always order the oxtail pho here. It's decent for the price. I always ask for extra soup to take home. I rarely finish the big bowl.

Long time customer here!…read more They have a brand new dish: Bún Chả Cá Thì Là. The fish and the fish cakes are super tasty, and the amount of thì là (dill) they use makes it the perfect combo. It really nails that traditional Northern-style flavor profile. Pro tip: make sure to mix in some sa tế, as it completely amplifies the broth and takes it to the next level! Also, I'm so hyped that the Cháo Sườn Quẩy is FINALLY back on the menu! It came out piping hot and is just as comforting as I remember. Honestly, this bowl right here is what keeps me coming back and craving more. Solid spot, totally hits the spot if you want some legit, comforting Northern food.

Food Bánh Mì Pate Que (2) - $5.99 Served as two pieces, this Hải Phòng-style bánh mì came with pate, shredded pork, and a house chili sauce. The bread was nicely toasted and served warm, making it easy to share. Bánh Ướt Đặc Biệt - $14.50 Steamed rice sheets topped with pork patties, fried tofu, and fresh vegetables, served with a house fish sauce. The sauce leaned light and slightly sweet, which may appeal to some but felt a bit mild overall. Bún Chả Hà Nội - $16.50 Rice vermicelli served with grilled pork, pork patties, fresh herbs, and house fish sauce. Similar to the other dish, the sauce was on the lighter side in terms of flavor. The protein portions also felt a bit small for the price. Service My party and I were greeted and seated promptly upon our arrival. A server brought menus and returned shortly after to take our order. However, they did not check-in throughout the dining experience. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing and the food came out quickly. Payment is processed at the register near the back by the kitchen. Ambiance The restaurant is dimly lit with plenty of seating for dine-in. Location It is located in a strip plaza with a shared parking alongside other businesses.

I joined the Mama Hieus App which makes ordering ahead easier for pickup. I really like the app bc its simple to plan your dinner ahead. You can pick the day and time you want to pick-up. If I could make one request, is if you can give customers (me) the option to pay like extra $1-$2 for their orders to be ONLY FLAT WINGS on small orders. The chicken is so well crispy and coated and the non flat wings are too meaty but then carry less of your delicious seasoning in my opinion. Does that request exist? I guess I should ask this with your staff in person if I can get a special request to get all flat wings only. Put your name on the list hanging outside the door and they will call you when ready! We were sat almost immediately though. Inside is a large scale mom and pop shop that is FILLED with people and workers. We ordered a medium and large #23 pho and 2 waters, we got everything not even 5 minutes later. When I tell you this is the BEST broth I've ever had, it blew me away. I'm not one to usually order extra noodles but for this place I would order as many noodles until I ran out of broth, it is that good. Noodles were on the soggier side, I'm not picky about noodles but if you are then this is something to consider. Portions were huge for the price, very happy with that. CASH ONLY. The broth had great depth of flavor, and the noodles were cooked perfectly, exactly what you want in a comforting bowl of pho. However, the oxtail I ordered didn't live up to the same standard. I'd still come back for the pho, but I'd probably skip the oxtail next time.

We started with the Vietnamese coffee ($7), which was bold, strong, and nicely balanced with the sweetness from the condensed milk. A great way to kick things off. The egg rolls ($10) were packed with beef, shrimp, wood ear mushroom, and vermicelli--crispy on the outside and paired perfectly with fresh lettuce and fish sauce. The standout for me was the flaming wagyu ($18), torched tableside. For how thick the cut was, it was incredibly tender and soft. Definitely go medium rare. The ponzu dipping sauce really enhances the richness of the beef. We also tried the shaken beef ($21), which came with plenty of caramelized onions and bell peppers that added a subtle sweetness. The beef was slightly charred, bite-sized, and super satisfying--especially with rice. The combo pho ($25) came loaded with a variety of meats, all tender and melt-in-your-mouth. The broth had a deep, beefy richness, and the noodles were perfectly soft. Add in the garnishes for some crunch and it really ties everything together. Overall, a solid spot with quality ingredients and flavorful dishes. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area.
