Best pho in anchorage !! Best feature about this place is they have pictures of all their food so no guessing what's it gonna look like. The reason why Im saying their pho is the best is because it's not oily like most places and the broth is amazing , it has that authentic beef flavor , you can taste a little bit of that gamey beef flavor. And the portions were generous.

Pho Potstickers was so killer.

This is actually my 2nd time coming here. They are located in a crazy random location right across from Kavas/PhoVietnam on muldoon and I'm sorry Pho Vietnam(though I don't care for you all to much) but this pho is BOMB. I use to always drive out to Pho Lena in Spenard area for Pho because they are the best in Anchorage personally. But bro. Pho Tommy is prolly neck to neck to Pho Lena hands down. I got the Tom Yum pho which I've always eaten in lil make at home pho packets and it was BOMB bro. Straight BOMB. First time I got the pho potstickers with crispy pork and it was SO KILLER. The crispy pork in the broth almost rehydrates and still maintains flavor while being crispy. I love it with a passion my G. This place is bomb as hell. No more driving to Spenard for Pho I got it at Muldoon boi. Pce.

I tried Pho Tommy for the first time today and was not disappointed. I ordered a lunch special of their Pad See-Ew. It came with a cup of their soup of the day (chicken pho.) Everything was hot, fresh, and so tasty. For the price of $9.85, this is hard to beat. It was plenty of food for a lunch time meal for one. The inside was clean and decorated nicely. Music was quietly playing inside as well. This is now a definite favorite Thai dining restaurant. Yum!

Oxtail soup

Oxtail soup is always a winner with all the trimmings! Also had yellow chicken curry that was delicious! Food is always hot and fresh and our go to place especially on a rainy day like today!

My wife is coming down with a cold and was craving hot soup. Bò kho is a Vietnamese stew made by…read moresimmering chunks of beef and carrots in a tomato base that has been infused with the aromatic essence of lemongrass, ginger, star anise, cinnamon, and five-spice. It is usually served with noodles or a lightly-toasted baguette, and herbs, which include Thai basil, Vietnamese coriander, rice paddy herb, mint, culantro, and chopped cilantro and scallions. It was wonderful. There was one woman handling EVERYTHING in the front of the house and she wasted no motions. This is a family operation and two very young girls were sitting at a table coloring/drawing and very well behaved. The dining room is clean. There is plenty of parking.

There are about twenty tables that can seat 2-6 people. A small restaurant with a Vietnamese decoration that makes you feel inviting and comfortable. Server: 4 Stars Family owned and operated, our server made recommendations and were ready to order with her recommendations. She remembered our table's order and brought us our drinks within two minutes. She was pleasant, friendly, and professional. Food: 3.5 - 4 Stars Menu items are numbered so you don't have to pronounced the words when ordering. We had the following: Number 75: Noodle Dish: Hù TiẾU Nước - 3.5 Stars $21.99 (dish is a broth base) A Rice noodle with shrimp, char-siu pork, fried green onions, fried shallots, beans sprouts with fried wontons in a savory broth. It is like a Pho. The broth is light, savory and little bit sweet. I believe the sweetness is from the fried green onions and shallots. The char-siu pork is thinly sliced with two or three boiled shrimp. It was good but lacking in depth of flavor. 77: Noodle Dish Hù Tiểu Mi Nước $21.99 - 3.25 Stars It has the same ingredients as a number 75 but it includes egg noodles with the rice noodles. The broth is light and savory and is more filling due to the amount of noodles. Number 86: GRILLED PORK - 4 Stars Creamy egg mayo, grilled pork, pickled daikon, carrots, cucumber, cilantro and green onion. $16.99 The Banh Mi (bread was light, airy, and flakey) it is about a 12" loaf. The marinated grill pork was sweet and salty. A good balance and portion of meat for the sandwich. Also, you get a side of fresh veggies (leafy greens and cucumbers) Numbered 70: PHO TAI - 3.5 stars $23.99 Beef broth, rice noodle, thinly sliced Wagyu steak, sliced yellow and green onions, and bean sprouts. The beefy broth was light and flavorful. However you couldn't tell if the beef was Wagyu steak. It was tender but too thin to tell the texture from a different beef loin. The rice noodle bowl was one size, Large. So if you can't it all, you can take it as leftovers. So, would we come again? Yes, but to try other dishes that are not "soup based". Enjoy

I'm so glad we did because this ended up being the best meal we had while visiting Anchorage! I ordered the tofu pho and really enjoyed it. The broth was a little sweeter than what I personally prefer, but it was still delicious and packed with flavor. The tofu and other ingredients were fresh, and the bowl was comforting and satisfying. The staff was really nice and welcoming, and I loved the cozy, relaxed ambience. It was a great place to sit down and enjoy a warm bowl of pho after exploring Anchorage. Service was decent overall, although our waters were never refilled during the meal. Overall, this was definitely a highlight of our trip, and I would absolutely come back the next time I'm in Anchorage to try more of the menu!

I like their menu because it has a good variety, and the food is pretty solid overall. The dine-in service has generally been good, and the restaurant itself looks clean, modern, and comfortable. That said, the takeout experience has almost always been on the slower side throughout the years, so that is one area I think they could improve. Still, Phonatik is one of the better pho restaurants in Anchorage. I really think they have a lot of potential, but they may need to step up their game a bit to become truly outstanding.

I'm sitting right in front of you. I finally get my order! hallelujah. but it's fucked up because you know they're rushing at this point. I ordered the rolls with NO PEANUTS. NO PEANUTS - highly allergic. this is non negotiable. apparently some dude doesn't think so and asks if switching out the peanut sauce sitting next to my rolls is good enough. no, bro. not good enough. then I'm asked if I had originally ordered my rolls with no nuts. well considering how highly reactive I am, yeah, yeah i'm sure. and why are you really trying to blame me for this epic fuck up? worst thing is you can tell the kids working here don't give a fuck. it's so obvious and takes away from what makes Phonatik so good. so like I said earlier : get your shit together.
