My husband and I have only ever ordered take out from here. I have ordered a couple different things. All have been great! It is rare to find a restaurant in Oswego that isn't a chain. Pho Son looked delicious, so it was one of the first places my husband and I tried when moving to the area. Of the items I have tried, my favorite by far has been the chicken and rice. It is absolutely incredible. The chicken in sweet and tangy while the rice is sticky and delicious. It comes with an egg which enhances to overall flavor. I have also ordered the beef noodles (PHO BO). Just keep in mind the give you the beef raw. The broth is delicious though. Much more plain than the other dishes though. My husband has ordered the sandwiches and they are also fantastic. Though, my favorite is still the chicken and rice. We had take out from here tonight. This is a real treat. Tofu spring rolls with fresh vegetables ad sauce. Chicken lettuce wraps well seasoned, sweet and tangy. Chicken pho was delightful; a real highlight and a large portion. Chiken bahn mi was the only disappointment. Small for the price point, and the bread is not great, which really matters for this sandwhich. Chicken noodle salad was also great, with fresh greens and tangy dressing. Pho Son specializes in amazing traditional Vietnamese soup. The soup is very flavorful and comes with toppings to add so you can customize your soup! For the cost, I would appreciate more toppings. Just tried this place for the first time. Stopped in to get carry out for lunch on a Wednesday. The inside was nice and it made me want to come back and sit down to eat soon. I got a small Pho Tom, an order of egg rolls and chicken satay. Everything was DELICIOUS, hot and fresh! I walked in, placed my order and walked out with my food in less than 10 minutes. This place is absolutely delicious. After cooking everyday for several weeks I had an immense craving for Pho! I don't have many places nearby that delivered so I found this gem and asked if they did curbside cause you know pandemic and all. I ordered a veggie style Pho with all the good stuff some spring rolls and egg rolls and oh my... They are super generous and so decently priced! I very much enjoyed the hospitality of the woman who kindly grabbed my card and brought me my food to my car (didn't want to take the kids in, every moms dream for all places to have curbside , anywho she was so nice! This place is amazing. We're in the middle of a quarantine, and we're all so bored with food. We were tired of "Whatever" and/or "I dunno...." so we found this place online and we're a bit skeptical. We had Pho before from a different place and just weren't impressed, but curiosity got the best of us and we decided to take a chance. We ordered Beef Pho with mushrooms, two each of the Bao (except the tofu) and spicy noodles with chicken. WOW, it even made my car smell amazing! Not just 'food' amazing, but the type of amazing where you want to bottle the scent and sell it! The whole family (kids included) loved the meal. I want to give it more than five stars but I can't. My husband and I had lunch here a few days ago. We ordered the Banh Mi and the beef pho. The pho was good, fresh and the perfect comfort food. The Banh Mi was just ok. It was missing something and was dry. Overall our experience was a good one. I had Ordered the pho spicy , and recieved regular. Wasn't too big of a deal. Yesterday, I went in and ordered the chicken Pho for takeout. Overall, I'm very happy with this place and will be back. I just moved to Illinois from Southern California and I used to live right across the street from a top rated Vietnamese restaurant. Every time I got sick or wanted some spring rolls, I would walk over, grab some food, pay, and leave. Super quick, which was always convenient when I was feeling under the weather and just wanted a big bowl of soup in the comfort of my own home. This place just opened up and I was feeling a sickness coming on, so I popped in and asked if they had takeout, they do! The service was fast as well. The lady at the counter was on it and I had already paid and had my to-go drink in my hand by the time the food showed up. My chicken pho was right on the money! I took it home, assembled and ate my bowl of soup and I was feeling so much better. I felt just like I was back in California eating a delicious bowl of soup. The pho stock was clear all the way through, and it was delicious. The chicken was perfect! Nice bite sized slices, perfectly cooked. Nothing off about it. And the onions, cilantro, basil, bean sprouts, and lime all were fresh! I've ways considered pho to be my miracle soup, and I am definitely feeling a lot better today than I was yesterday,so I'm glad I have a place close by that can provide this. The chicken soup was so good, I can't wait to try the rest of the dishes. Pros: fast service. Fresh ingredients. Perfect flavor. They do takeout. Very clean inside. Nice decor on the walls. Cons: I was unable to order from them on Postmates or Uber eats. It sucks knowing that when I'm really sick, with a fever, I don't want to go in and risk getting this place sick when ordering soup. I would love to see this place available on either of these apps. The spring rolls on the menu only came in shrimp. Kinda bummed since I love spring rolls but I don't eat seafood. I'm sure I could have requested chicken spring rolls and the chef, and it wouldn't have been an issue, as the staff seemed very willing to make the customers happy, but I didn't have it in me to ask, I was already ordering more soup than I needed. The shrimp was placed on a small bowl made of a light , crispy pastry ( small shrimp) garnished with light sauce. One bite one mouthful. Delicious. Had Pho veggie broccoli carrots and mushrooms. Base price $10. Each veggie .50. Could have added more veggies fOe the price. Food is good and nice addition to that area packed with large chain restaurants. The flavor wise Pho is definitely where it need to be. But think the menu down sized recently? Went there looking for a bang mi and it was gone from the menu. Little sad that a bowl of pho is over $10 and that is all I get for lunch when compared to other pho places which would offer a small side or something during lunch. read more

Love the take out here! Decided to eat in and that was a bad idea. Waitress is so perky, and forcing a smile it was so obvious. It's not a comfortable environment at all. Small portions of sprouts, basil are given for soup. They give you way more for takeout. She's like "that will be .50 more because I don't make the rules here". As much as I ordered from here they couldn't budge a couple of sprouts. Will be cutting back on ordering from here and trying out other restaurants. read more

Cute, vibing spot to eat and grab a thai tea! I get the shrimp pho Tom each time I go ( I'm nervous to try other things and that is with EVERYTHING) the large can easily feed two people. But I get it for myself and have left overs. This dish is extremely fresh and tasty. Love the pho broth with the cilantro, bean sprouts, green onions, shrimp, along with the rice noodles and some other leaves that are tasty and special looking lol. I feel great after I eat it and not bloated or sluggish so that's a great thing. Finally tried this place out and it didn't disappoint. Everyone working we encountered was friendly. The service was fast and attentive. We tried the egg rolls, chicken pho and spicy pan fried noodles with beef. Everything was very good. The main dish items had very large portions (even the 'small' size pho) and we left very full. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal from Pho Son! I had the large Pho Bo with a black milk tea. The pho was packaged with the broth separate from the noodles and other toppings. I found this helpful because I was able to divide each into to separate meals. The pho was flavorful, aromatic, and absolutely delicious. I also appreciated the amount of beef and toppings that were provided. The milk tea was also delicious! They use a boba that's much smaller than I typically have had but I enjoyed having a good ratio of boba to tea with each sip. Overall, I really liked Pho Son! After living away from Oswego for many years now I joke about restaurants being "Oswego-good" but in this case I'd say it's more than that and for sure one of my Oswego favorites. It initially seemed expensive as I paid $20 for the pho bo with only one meat and bubble tea but because I got the large and got multiple meals out of it I would say it was definitely worth. It's also definitely a change of pace from all the local chain restaurants. Can't wait to have Pho Son again soon! read more

Is it bad that I've had the pho soup every Friday and Saturday for the past 3 weeks and they know me and my order already?!? I am obsessed. The broth is so damn good and the egg rolls are the best I've ever tasted. The only criticism is that they need to provide more tendon in the order and some of the tendon is so tough that I could not eat it! I highly recommend this place that broth is cooked from the soul!! Wow, the food here is amazing! I ordered the spicy noodles with shrimp. The flavor was fantastic and the perfect amount of spice with lots of shrimp. My son ordered the braised chicken and rice. It was very flavorful and tender. The pho was huge! Very good as well. Everything was fresh. I ordered pick up several hours ahead of time and everything was ready and warm!
