Got take out Ordered drunken noodles with shrimp - good flavor but too dry for my taste, shrimp cooked perfectly, loved all the veggies Spring rolls- I was expecting a thing rice paper but got more of a soft rice crepe, it wasn't something I rly enjoyed so my reason for the 4 start Spicy tofu- really surprised at how good this dish is, I wouldn't consider it spicy but still sweet. The tofu was cooked rly nicely, it had a crust from being pan fried but still was soft on the inside. Loved all the bell peppers and onions in this dish Panang curry - rly nice, more dilute broth than I'm used to but the flavor was there. Again loved the veggies but the rice that came with it might have been a bit over cooked with too much water Friend banana and coconut ice cream was also great Overall enjoyed the meal and I would recommend getting these items read more

My stomach has spoken and spoken with much excitement. I was in town for business and I wanted something other than a burger. Thai food has always been a winner but quality has been sketchy around Boling Brook, Naperville and Lisle so I tend to shy away when I'm in town. This night was different in both experience and food quality. When I showed up, I waited about two minutes before I was seated. I was quickly shown my table by the window where I had a view of a couple TVs. Since it was getting close to 8pm, I quickly decided on Thai dumplings and drunken noodles with beef (medium spice). I would most likely pass on the dumplings as they tasted like they came from a frozen package and overcooked. It was neither good nor bad, just there. The drunken noodles on the other hand were amazing. If you want to talk about love at first bite, their main entrees are an excellent proving ground for this. Spice at just the right heat level. Flavor that makes angels sing and play their trumpets. Presentation that says "Welcome to Thailand. Please enjoy your meal." All this along with the attentive service left me so happy! I took the fried banana coconut ice cream back to the hotel since it was getting close to closing time. It was still amazing after the ten minute drive back. On a quick side note, your GPS software will have you turn right at a building. If you circle the building and make a total of 3 immediate right turns, it'll put you in front of the restaurant. Come here for lunch or bring a date. This is a great place and the only Thai place I will recommend in the immediate area for Thai food! read more

Ordered this last night for the first time! I set high expectations for this restaurant because I had heard that it was previous owners of Le Siam in naperville! Which was my absolute fav back in the day. So cut to me driving over there last week only to realize it was take-out only!!! It was dark inside and I was sad. So I placed my order for my boyfriend and I last night: 1 chicken pad Thai 1 beef pad see ew The Pad See Ew was way more flavorful than the pad Thai which really surprised me!! I wasn't disappointed in the pad Thai per say- but it could have used more sauce/flavor. And they didn't provide any utensils but thankfully I took the food to my place :) no biggie. They only do curbside so I called and they brought it out to me. I tipped the runner $5 because I got there right at 8:30 (at close-whoops) but mostly because I had a hard time getting there because it's on a one-way street** I would give the pad thai another try but I definitely see myself trying another Drunken/wide noodle dish first! read more

This place is conveniently located to downtown Naperville (by the train station) and yet somehow I had never gone. So a friend and I rectified that one evening recently! It was one of the incredibly cold nights we've been having lately so the place was fairly empty but they seemed to be doing a decent takeout business (perhaps people coming in on the train picking up something before heading home?) In any case, we were seated in the front room alone. The place is understated and stylish in decor. We started our meal with crab rangoon, delicious little pockets of crab and cream cheese with a sweet and sour type sauce. I always judge a restaurant based on this appetizer if they serve it, and these definitely passed the test. For dinner I ordered sea scallops in panang curry sauce. Tasty, but there were only five scallops which for dinner seems a bit sparse. The curry sauce was delicious but slightly marred by the tiny. plasticky strips of something (Thai basil?) that abundantly garnished this dish. My friend has the Massamon curry and was apparently satisfied. Service was friendly and our glasses were never empty of water for long! In an effort to continue supporting small, local businesses (and save my wife from having to cook), I ordered takeout from Thai Medallion. I ordered drunken noodles with shrimp. I was able to pay over the phone, including tip. When I arrived, I called them and a worker brought the food out to my car. He was wearing a mask, too, so nice job on touchless service. As for the dish, it tasted good, but...we paid a $3 upcharge for shrimp and there were literally only four shrimp in the entire entree. My wife and I were sharing this, and only this, for dinner after a long day of fasting, and had to split the shrimp two and two. Oh well. read more

We went on a Sunday night, and business seemed pretty slow. Parking looks like it would be limited on weekdays, but there is always the parking garage in downtown Naperville if all else fails. I ordered the Rama Delight with medium spiciness. The broccoli that comes with it is very tender and tasted good. The sauce was way too thick for my liking, and kind of overpowered the rest of the dish. It felt almost like this peanut butter noodles. The drunken noodles are good, though. I would definitely give this place another chance to try out their other dishes. The Rama Delight was definitely a miss, though. Other than that, the service is nice and the price is affordable. It sure didn't take me long to make it back for a lovely dinner for two. It was an interesting evening as mom, who doesn't do spicy, went for the "spicy catfish." I think secretly she wants me to eat more fish, as she abruptly tasted my dish and proceeded to help herself to mine. I got a tablespoon of my dish, Pad Pao Taek and I had the spicy catfish, even though they offered to make her what ever else she may desire. I'm no Thai expert but I am a fan of "Thai Medallion, Authentic Thai Cuisine". The brown rice is by far becoming a favorite of mine too. I look forward to many repeat visits. This is a family affair and our family certainly wish them good fortune here in downtown Naperville, as their first Thai restaurant "Le S'iam", near Rt. 59 and Aurora Rd. is going on their 18th year. For dessert we shared the Thai Custard and sticky rice . It was so delicious I wanted it for myself, but being the good friend that I am, I shared . A nice quiet Thai place right to the south of 5th Ave Metra station (it's steps from the station). I think this used to be the Petey Z pizza place from 10 years back, and I've always liked this little nook and cranny strip of storefronts. I liked the restaurant peace and quiet, but the food was only ok, and I think they can do better. The green papaya salad was quite spicy, and we had it mild (it may have been the spiciest salad I've ever had). The green curry beef was ok, but a bit light on the beef for $9.95. The chicken pad thai was over the top sugary. I liked that they offered Chimey ale - a bottled Begian ale. If you like Thai in Naperville, it's worth a try, and I'm glad we did. Every dish is delicious, the Tom Yum and Pad Thai are straight-from-home authentic, and the desserts are to die for - I love the durian, but if the smell isn't for you they also have delicious Thai custard and sticky rice! Anyway, was eating here tonight and got to witness the owner smack down two extremely irate, unreasonable customers who were clearly too drunk to understand how a group discount on bottle corkage fees works. AND I THOUGHT I WAS IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE BEFORE. (These two left without paying ANY corkage fee after using the glasses and drinking the wine and after all the scene they made, then got into separate cars to drive home after bragging that they could legally drink as much as they wanted because they weren't driving! They even flipped off the server through the window. Clearly someone should have cut off their alcohol a bit sooner.) Still and always the BEST, most authentic Thai food in Chicagoland! After circling the block at least 4 times, I finally found this 'tucked away' restaurant, just outside of Naperville's train station. The food is authentic and the owner was personable & concerned that 'spicy' might be too spicy and the durian might offend my olfactory senses. I assured him that I was familiar w/spicy and the 'stink' of durian. They were out of Pad Ped Sataw, so I ordered Khua Kling & Durian for dessert. The owner/manager told me his gmom raises the chili peppers in Thailand & the variety changes annually, but always fresh and literally hot! Plus, he discounted the cost bc he didn't know the Ped Sataw wasn't available when I placed the order. I eat lots of Thai--from ethnically diverse Silver Spring, MD area--and this restaurant was w/out doubt the best taste, spiciness AND service. read more
