A group of three of us dined in on a Saturday evening. We came in around 545 and it was pretty busy. We didn't wait too long to be seated - which was deceiving for the rest of our experience. We ordered a couple of apps, thai teas and entrees. The apps were forgettable with not a lot of flavor. The ratio of tea to cream left my friend disappointed. Overall the entrees were much better but flagging our waitstaff to order and for water refills was tiresome. There appeared to be one person taking orders and one person bussing. This was insufficient for a busy evening and we recognize that this happens but it didn't appear that this wasn't the norm based on the waitresses behavior. All in all this establishment may be better suited for a take out order when I'm visiting friends in the area vs dining in. read more

We have been coming here for dinner for several years. It is always excellent! One of the things I love is they have dishes you don't necessarily find at other Thai restaurants. This time I had Mus Su Mun Curry and it was great! I wasn't familiar with the dish. It was a wonderful curry that was both a bit sweet and spicy (heat). I added shrimp and scallops to mine. The staff are very helpful with the menu. And the food is always timely. If you are going for dinner, especially on the weekend, I would make reservations. They can get quite busy and the restaurant is not that big. They do have a full bar if you do have to wait. read more

Maly Thai AKA Vino's Thai under a new name. The poster on the window says it's the same staff and cook but my grandma's swears it tastes different. I hadn't been under the old name so I have nothing to compare it to. We came during lunch. They have a $12 lunch special that comes with an entree, soup & appetizer. I chose the spring roll and the chicken cashew nut. The spring roll was AMAZING! The chicken cashew nut was also good but nothing to rave about. Overall, a very good lunch deal. Service was good. Then the star dish came out!! My pad Thai chicken, so delish!! A very generous helping. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is because the sauce is a little too sweet for me. I usually always come here for Thai food as it was our go to place. Typically we take out but this time we dined in a loved it! We got the drunken noodles and pad Thai. We also ordered avocado rolls and Thai iced tea. The food was amazing, but the Thai iced tea was a bit too sweet. The service and ambience were really good as we were served promptly. Was very glad to find this restaurant. We were dining with friends that need to eat vegetarian and gluten free (I know, right!?!?) and there were many options for them. I enjoyed a hot red curry, which I would order extra hot next time. My lovely wife ordered pad Thai which she deemed average. The service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. I got the drunken noodle and was utterly dissapointed to find nothing but ground chicken in it. Ground chicken should not be anywhere near a professional kitchen much less asian cuisine. The food was extremely dissapointing for the 14$ price especially since my girlfriend got a cheaper fried rice that had delicious cut chicken breast while i literally had to avoid getting disgusting ground chicken meat from getting in my mouth when eating my entree. This is my go-to, I-need-the-comfort-of-Thai-food-like-my-childhood when I don't want to cook it myself. My husband loves it. My kids love it. The food is "authentic"--it's true to what I know growing up visiting Thailand and eating Thai home cooking with my relatives). It's fantastic, fresh, freaking deliciously flavorful--everything you hope Thai would be. Our favorites are the fish cakes (tod mun pla), tom kha gai soup, basil chicken (pad krapao), pad thai, and khao soi curry noodles. Gahhh I want it now! But everything we've had is good! People who work there are friendly and restaurant is nice inside, standard Thai restaurant decor. You can not go wrong with red-curry anything. My personal favorite is the 'Red Sea'. When you dine in, the space and staff are wonderful and the food comes out looking like it's fresh out of a food magazine. This is seriously a great place to take a date. Amazing food with flavor and flair, great atmosphere and presentation, and on average the cost is $12-14 per person. Oh and one more thing. Order the Tom-kha soup, with extra veggies. As we eat our way through town of Saint Charles, Illinois, we have found a favorite Thai restaurant, Maly Thai. The dining room was almost full at 5 o'clock on a Sunday which we took as a good sign, and we were right. Despite the busy dining room, the service was excellent. We were promptly greeted, placed our order and checked on multiple times. The menu had so many options, it took us a while to read through it all. We selected the Pad Thai with chicken, the Five Star Noodles with shrimp, the Spicy Glass Noodles with shrimp, the Pad Woon Sen with tofu, and an appetizer of Spring Rolls. Everything was very flavorful and delicious. The portion size was very generous, enough to take home for a second meal for each of us. And they also had the finishing touch of fortune cookies which ended our meal with dreams of good fortune, and laughter, The restaurant was tastefully, decorated, very well-kept and clean. I have been a fan of the Vinotai's cooking way back when they were in Hoffman Estates (and owned Taste of Thai). The food here at VinoThai is always delicious, consistently plentiful and the service is very friendly and helpful if you want to customize a dish. My favorites are the Pad Siew with shrimp or chicken, Papaya salad is so crisp, fresh and light and my parents love the whole red snapper prepared with a light sauce and vegetables. I love to get a Thai Iced Coffee too if I am coming to pick up an order to go. There's also a pretty decent variety of cocktails you can order. The dining room is not huge so there can be a wait if it's busy on the weekends and especially if there is a large group here. On weekends, definitely order take away at least 45min from the time you want to pick up. Dining room is always impeccably clean and organized.
