I have ordered different things from here over the years. Tonight, I ordered the chicken satay and green curry. Usually they package everything well so everything is well contained. Unless the peanut sauce spilled inside the bag it was placed loosely in with the foil wrapped chicken skewers. That was disappointing, but everything tasted great and that is my only complaint. They were very quick at the pick up window, so I liked that in regards to service. This isn't a dine-in establishment so I can't really comment much on the ambiance. Well, times have certainly changed. $19 for a shrimp dish. It cost $5 to add shrimp and we got exactly 5 shrimp. The portions are small and while I do enjoy their food, the prices are out of control. I won't be going back anytime soon. read more

Best Thai in the area and I tried them all. Pad Ke Mao (drunken noodles) and the Pad Thai (chicken or whatever you like) are my go to options. Curry dishes are all delicious. Soups are pretty good too. Apps are decent but I usually don't get them. Note - I like my food spicy and they give you an option for the level of heat you want... between 1 and 5. I typically get 4 with a side of chili past just in case I need to kick it up a notch. Level 5 is painfully hot which I do like from time to time. read more

so disappointed. ordered Tom Yum soup after checking out the menu from the website listed on google business page. After realizing I got soup with NO NOODLES, I asked for the missing noodles. nope! Food is good I get the orange chicken and crab rag been ordering here for over a year and a half now and it's always the same quality. People seem to complained about no where to eat in there as it is a small place but it seems as if they recently added a table for people to eat at in there. read more

Thai food is easily one of my favorite foods and I've eaten a lot of it from a lot of different places. This was my least favorite and also the most expensive. I tried the chicken pad thai, beef pad see ew, green curry with tofu, egg rolls, and Thai tea. These are my usuals. The first thing I was surprised by was the Thai tea came in a small bottle. It was not at all a good value and was just ok. Maybe a Covid thing? This was super disappointing because I love Thai tea. Some of the dishes just had a weird mouth feel. The green curry was really thick and the tofu was kinda chewy. Update: 2nd day the curry was actually pretty good so I will increase a star. Also I want to note the vegetables in all the dishes were good and cooked nicely. The noodle dishes had an odd flavor. My kids love Thai noodles and they gave these both a thumbs down. Everybody was good with the egg rolls because egg rolls are just hard to mess up. I'm sad because this place is really close to my new house but we will have to look elsewhere for great Thai food. read more

My favorite Thai/Chinese place in the area. Everything I've tried has been delicious, fresh, and not super oily like some other places. Reading previous reviews, Thai Express does not have a delivery driver. However, you can get deliver through GrubHub and other similar apps. Note that the food is delivered through a third-party driver so it can be hit or miss (I once got my food within 20 minutes of ordering and once waited over an hour before canceling the delivery and going to get it myself.) Don't take out a bad delivery experience on the restaurant- they have nothing to do with it! read more

Really pretty good Thai Food, prepared quickly for carry-out only. They take the order and payment info over the phone. On arrival you call them from your car and soon an employee wearing a mask delivers your food to your car. Good service, good food. This restaurant is long gone. I had it pre-covid and was impressed. Now you will find flavorless fare maquerading as some sort of bland Asian cuisine but it certainly was not Thai. It is really hard to make awful fried rice but tonight I got to experience TASTING awful fried rice. And to boot, the lady at the front window who took my order seemed put out that anyone would actually stroll in and order food. We love Thai food but our favorite restaurant is kinda far away and expensive so it's been way too long since we've gotten it. My old favorite local Thai restaurant closed :( Anyway, thanks to Yelp I just happened to find Thai Express and we decided to try it. I was a little worried that it was going to be like a weird fast-food version of Thai food since it's delivery/carry-out only, but it definitely wasn't! Our food was delicious and tasted just like we hoped it would. I'm so excited to have a Thai place nearby that my husband and I both liked! So far we've only had it once, but I'm looking forward to trying more things. The Panang curry was great. The prices are pretty normal, around $10-13 per entree, and you get a large serving (enough for leftovers for me) so it's a good deal. Plus, online ordering is so easy and convenient. Charges extra for condiments, even for one or fewer condiment per entree. Our family of 6 purchase food monthly for a few years. We typically order 4-5 entrees and request 3 sweet-and-sour sauce containers at pick-up. Recently, the cashier warned they charge extra for each/any sweet-and-sour, and now this policy has taken effect. Entree prices are typical for other local Thai restaurants, while condiments are still complimentary at these other restaurants. The food is okay (3 stars) and convenient to our home for pick up (4 stars). Thai Village Restaurant in Batavia, IL is better, but less convenient to our home. I stopped there yesterday after hearing from some Phillipino friends of mine just how good the food was. I tried the Tom Kah soup and the Pad Kee Mao. If you have never had Tom Kah soup which is a coconut milk based broth soup, this is the place to give it a try. You will probably end up loving it as much as I do. The broth was seasoned to a spicy perfection with the freshest of vegetables and what I would have to say was an abundance of flavorful meat. My choice was the pork. The portion size was more than adaquit. I would be love to describe just how good the Pad Kee Mao was but it will only end up sounding repaticious.
