The waitress completely ruined our experience. 3 out of 4 entrees were incorrect or misrepresented the dish... for example panang noodles actually come with fried noodles but "fried" is not in the description. On top of that, the noodles were incredibly greasy. When we asked about the spice level for a noodle dish for kids, we were told it was mild, and we emphasized the need for no spice since it was for the kids. Objectively, the dish was far from mild heat. We then ordered the Thai rice dish with no protein and yep, we got protein. WONDERFUL!!!! The food was so delicious, the staff very kind, and the atmosphere was great. The music is quiet and soothing, which we loved. The staff was very efficient even when the restaurant got quite busy. We got the Appetizer for two and house salad, then the Autumn Curry with tofu and the Pad Thai with pork. ALL WAS DELICIOUS!!! Ordered and got a confirmation online. When I called forty minutes later, was told that they were busy abd that the order would not be ready for at least another half hour. At that time, I requested a refund since my nanny could not stay at home to watch my children.l (I was on my way home from work). Was promised that they would fast track the order to be completed in ten min. Still waited a half hour. Even went inside the restaurant to request a refund (again). Was refused and kept being told order would be completed in two minutes. There were clearly several people waiting and upset about the wait on their orders. Please just be honest about preparation times. I would've understood if they had just given me an honest response and a refund. Vino Thai is one of our favorite restaurants, we used to eat at or take out once a week when we lived closer. Now we only get to stop in once in a long while. We were in the area tonight and went in half hour before closing, hoping they would let us eat in, the owner remembered us and welcomed us to dine in. The food is always very flavorful with perfect size portions. We always order the crab rangoons, these are my favorite ones, with the thin flakey shell. We've recommended this restaurant to just about anyone who is in the area looking for a great thai restaurant. VinoThai is a wonderful spot that I have been going to for years. I especially enjoy their Pad Thai and Curry entrees. My one complaint is there ordering system. I haven't found a way to place online orders as the system on their website is out-dated and not user friendly. Often times calling in orders in difficult with their call waiting system not set up and be put on hold and get hung up on. We came for late lunch (5ppl), very fast service. Appetizer platter items were delicious, except for mee grub. The chicken satay was juicy, pot stickers, crab rangoon and egg roll were light and not too oily. The spring rolls were fresh. Also ordered siomai, bigger size than normal, yummy. For entrees, the grilled tilapia with garlic sauce and the chicken pad siew were flavorful. I was not a fan of the garlic chicken. I was wondering how this place would survive without the older owner, however I've been back several times & the place still has the awesome food that it always did! Pad Thai is spot on, the spring rolls are fresh, & the bubble teas are good. The service has improved slightly, as the waitstaff is always friendly & knows a lot about the dishes they are serving. Good Thai place. Definitely worth checking out. I started coming to Vino Thai when they first opened maybe 12 years ago. They have always been good and a fun place to hang out. You would probably only go to eat, but the atmosphere and ambiance have always bun upbeat and fun. People always seem to be having a good time there. They do have plenty of beer and wine as well. The food is really good. I've had better Thai Food, but I feel this place checks many different things in one place. I've been to other Thai restaurants where the food is more authentic with flavors, but some people may find that to be too strong. In a way the food has been Americanized a bit so more people would enjoy it. I give 5 stars because I think everyone could enjoy it here. read more

I'm very picky about cleanliness and this place is one of the cleanest thai places I've ever been to. Food: The food was fantastic! I ordered the chili chicken and it was perfect. A good portion was given with some delicious jasmine rice. Excellent Service: The waitresses were always helpful and informative about their food. Don't let the fact that it's in a strip mall by a Target and a Jimmy Johns fool you, this place is great! I was in town on business and needed something good. I love Thai food and a truly good Thai place is hard to come by especially in a suburb. I was surprised when I read all the good reviews for Vino on Yelp. So I had to try it. Dropped in for a weekend lunch. Ended up sharing the summer medley (assorted appetizers) and their most popular dish panang curry. The fried items of the medley were fantastic. Not being overly greasy/oily is key!!! The coconut shrimp had the perfect texture with that fresh burnt coconutty aroma that may permeate inside your mouth without being overpowering. The spring rolls/avocado rolls were fresh and springy. The panang curry was nothing special in my opinion. Very very light on the "kick" in regards to spices. I would recommend a different curry if you're craving "spicy." 1.25 for an extra tiny bowl of jasmine rice...why don't you provide sufficient rice in the first place for the curry? read more
