    Penang curry with chicken
    Sophia H.

I have been here so many times and have not posted a review, so here it goes. I have been here 3 times in the past 4 weeks and someone in the family wants to go again next week! This place is hands down the hidden gem for halal Thai food. It is small so making a reservation is not a bad idea. But it is usually not busy, as most people don't know about this. The food is fantastic! I have a gluten allergy so they use gluten free soy sauce and help me choose my dishes if I need help. I love the Penang curry (nice kick), Green curry was great and my family got a noodle dish and they loved it. Harry who took our order is very helpful and friendly. The owner is nice as well. The ambiance is simple and clean. I see uber eats and DoorDash pickups happening here as well. Love this place!!

We've been to the Lombard location a couple times. This was our first trip to the Aurora location. The interior isn't large, but looks nice enough. Service was friendly, and pricing seemed reasonable. We ordered a wonton soup, pad kee mai with chicken, and tom yum fried rice with beef. Our guest ordered another soup with chicken and a creamy broth. The wonton soup wasn't super flavorful, but was decent on a cool day. The wide noodles with chicken was excellent. Good flavor and good quantity of chicken. The fried rice dish was a little low on flavor, but thankfully there was some hot sauce on the table (similar to sriracha). The other soup was also very tasty, but probably had a lot of sugar in it. Not bad overall.

Very Happy to see a new Thai restaurant in Aurora. We ordered veggie egg rolls, fresh spring rolls, chicken pad Thai and vegetarian stir fry with tofu. The food was good and ingredients were fresh. The pad Thai was tasty and the stir fry had lots of different variety of different types of vegetables(broccoli, pea pod, Bok Choi, string beans, Chinese broccoli). Restaurant was clean and service was very good. Gluten Free options and flexible with food allergies. The menu had a good variety of authentic Thai selection. They have another location in Lombard in which the menu appears identical. Restaurant was on the smaller side and dine in ambiance had a carryout feel to it. Thank you

The basil fried rice was tasty and flavorful. The pad see eiw was nice as well but would've liked it to be cooked a bit longer. Any protein other than tofu or just vegetables is an extra cost (chicken, beef, shrimp). The water is served at room temperature with no ice so if you'd like a cold drink, I recommend getting a soda as it's chilled in the fridge. The place is quite popular with both dine-in patrons and to-go orders which added to our wait time. It can be hard to fit groups larger than 4 due to limited space.

My take-out order: * boat noodles * green papaya salad * tofu pad thai * beef drunken noodles I ordered online and the process was simple, pick-up was easy. The food was freshly made and the ingredients were fresh. I would definitely come back to try their curries. They are located in a strip mall and there is plenty of parking out front. I can't speak to a dine in experience but from my brief interaction with the folks out front, they were really friendly and kind. I will be back!

Very casual spot where you seat yourself in the restaurant of about 9-10 tables. We were waiting on quickly and the food looked great once but came out . I ordered the mango chicken as I've never seen on menu before and was not disappointed. Crispy and saucy which is exactly how I like it . Sauce flavor was a delight and it came with white rice which i upgraded to fried rice . Hubby got crab pad Thai and he really enjoyed it. He was pleased that it was real crab as well. He did ask for chili as he likes to add spice to everything. The appetizer crab Rangoon was on point as well and then we finished with mango sticky rice . My favorite dessert when available which was a tasty ending to a great meal. I'd definitely go back to try more dishes .

It's a cozy byob spot with a large menu offering a variety of Thai dishes. We had a big group of 10 people that my brother called ahead for and I have to say that I was pretty surprised they were able to accommodate us on a Friday night given how busy it was throughout our time there. The staff was on it all night so the service was very smooth from appetizers all the way to dessert. I was happy to be able to go with such a large group as we got to sample a bunch of things. For appetizers alone we shared orders of summer rolls, chicken satay, potstickers, money bags, gyo, cucumber salad and the lettuce wraps. For an entree I ordered the Koong Kra Tiem which came with big jumbo shrimp and was really savory. The steamed vegetables were a little bland but wiping up the extra sauce from the shrimp fixed that. Other notable dishes were the basil beef stir fry my dad got and the Green Fire chicken and Thai fried rice my brothers ordered. I really appreciate what Tusk offers in terms of food but what has made them stand out is their commitment to service and how kind they are. I'm sure my family and I will be looking forward to enjoying a meal from their restaurant again soon.

There is parking but it did seem to get busy with the multiple businesses in the complex. Staff were friendly and efficient. We ordered the crab rangoon and chicken satay, Thai iced tea and a pad see eiw lunch special with 3 vegetable spring rolls. The lunch special is available weekdays from 11am-2pm, come with appetizer of the day and the entree of your choice from a list. It was nice to see the place relatively busy on a weekday with takeout orders, delivery people coming in and we were one of a few people dining in as well. It's a family owned restaurant, they are friendly from the time I've picked u my food. They are also available on Uber eats I' believe. But so far these are the items I have tried: 5/5 stars: Egg drop soup- there egg drop soup is so good and unique! I have to be in the mood for this soup but they add veggies in theirs which I love. However, it's a little pricey for a vegetarian soup. I think the large is $10! 2.5/5 stars: Crab Rangoon- they look like money bags, which I've had before in a Thai restaurant. I don't know what it is about their crab Rangoon's however I feel like they're almost very bland and you can't really taste the flavor of crab Rangoon, which is why I gave that rating. 5/5 stars: Chicken Pad See Eiw- absolutely love this dish it's full of flavor, veggies and protein. 5/5 stars: Chicken Penang Curry- it's one of the most underrated Currys, but it's very good a little sweet a little hot. Served with white rice it's definitely a good try. What I love about this place is I've asked for a higher spice level and they have delivered! I cannot wait to try more items from this restaurant and I will report back hopefully.

Review of Thai Village Restaurant…read more For context, my doctor's practice is nearby so I've passed by Thai Village Restaurant every few months whenever I have an appointment. I always wondered what the food was like but never had the time to check it out because I was usually rushing back to work. But recently, I had Friday off and scheduled my doctor's appointment around that. After the appointment, the weather was nice, and I was starving, so I decided to walk over around lunchtime and finally try it for myself. The place is a bit small on the inside, but it's kept very clean, which I appreciate. The service was also very fast. Even though it was lunchtime on Friday, there weren't a lot of people around, so I was seated almost immediately and a waitress came by to take my order shortly after. I ordered the Panang Curry with chicken (which also came with a side of rice), and a soda. The food came out pretty quickly too, and was steaming hot. I had thought initially since nobody was around, that maybe the food or service here might be bad. I was wrong. I've had a lot of Panang Curries in the past (it's my favorite Thai dish), so I knew what to expect taste-wise. But this was probably the best Panang Curry I've ever had, hands down. It made the other Panang Curries I've had from other Thai restaurants nearby seem bad in comparison. This Panang Curry was spicy (but not *too* spicy), savory, and it had the perfect ratio of sauce to vegetables to chicken. I also really appreciate that this restaurant didn't skimp out on the chicken; other nearby restaurants will throw in just a small handful of meat pieces and call it a day, which ruins the dish in my opinion. This was the ultimate Panang Curry, and probably the best one you'll find in the suburbs of Chicago. Aside from the food, the restaurant was clean, the service was fast, and the staff was nice. I'd highly recommend checking out this place for some good Thai food, or at least stopping by for a quick lunch.
