Usually visit here for lunch. Pleasant and clean restaurant which is also reflected in their very delicious food. My normal is #27 with fresh chicken! A delicious broth that is piping hot to which you add lovely, slightly chewy (which I love) noodles. Accompanying this are fresh bean sprouts and sliced green onion. There is also fresh basil, sliced jalapeño peppers and a big slice of juicy lime to squeeze over top of this delicious, steaming bowl of Pho. The service is always prompt and very pleasant. This was my first time at this restaurant. I came here with a group of 10 people and it was very fun! Pros: Appetizer Egg Rolls were delicious and fresh Thai Iced Tea was unique and made the way Thai Iced Tea should be made. The service from Yen was exceptional. She was able to help such a big group of people and was very patient with us. Cons: Everyone had pho and everyone seemed to enjoy it and the broth is good. This was my second favorite pho place until my first got closed due to a lease drop, so that makes it my first favorite now! The broth is so flavorful, even without adding onions, cilantro, peppers, and basil. The service is quick and there's always a table-- even at peak lunch and dinner hours. There was not anything really special about this place. It felt like a very standard Vietnamese Restaurant experience. I didn't get what I usually get at Vietnamese restaurants which is Pho or Bun. My husband and I had combination pho and vegetable stir fry. We enjoyed both of them. The soup was fresh and non greasy tasting. The stir fry was flavorful with a hint of peanut oil. Delicious! We purchased a groupon and went to try it for the 1st time today. Food was great. Service was exceptional. The waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. She answered all of our questions about the menu with patience and gave suggestions when asked, and even suggested a substitution of tofu in an appetizer menu when we asked for vegetarian options to accommodate our whole party. What was really a unique experience is when we asked for the salty lemonade drink, and she offered a sample before taking the order to make sure that we like it before we ordered it. Turns out we loved it and we did order it. The food was very delicious and fresh. The lemon grass chicken is so yummy ,they only use white meat, which I love. we also had vegetarian dish noodle and tofu,which was very good. I also don't understand the low reviews. I always order delivery and this is my go to place for a quick and delicious meal. I love that they have a low priced kid's meal that comes with a drink for my 7 year old who happens to love pho! Always prompt and the one time I had even the smallest issue they comped me to make up for it. Good customer service. I called ONCE for delivery and they were really busy and asked if I could call back in 5 minutes, but for a small place like this, I didn't mind. I was contemplating a 2 or 3 but decided to be nice since I didn't pay as much with my Groupon deal. I took my parents and we ordered a bowl of pho, pad thai, and the beef with an egg roll, two shrimp and the vermicelli noodles as well as a thai tea. People have mentioned service, yes, it is lacking. When my parents and I came in, we were the only people there. The guy took our order, but didn't mention the lunch specials. The lunch special is by the cashier, but we weren't sitting there. After he took our order our food came out pretty quickly but we never saw him again. There were only 5 other people in the restaurant after my family and I sat down. It was not that busy, but I think they forget about you once they give you your food. Out of sight out of mind. I don't know if there is a free refill on thai tea which some people have stated, the guy didn't come around. All of the food was bland. My expectations weren't too high since it was pho in the city of Cypress. However, every item had no flavor. The pad thai didn't look like normal pad thai, it was yellow. I couldn't tell where the chicken was at. I had the beef with the noodles and the fish sauce to put on top was not flavorful. For the pho, you can buy the powder at the 99 Ranch Market and get more flavor out of the pho than what was presented. If you're looking for tasty food, don't come here. If you have a Groupon deal and want food for a cheap price, then come here, but your taste buds won't be happy. I would rather drive a little bit further to get good tasting food. To satisfy a Vietnamese food craving in the Cypress, this is the place. Pho is tasty and not too salty. Vegetables served with it could have been a bit fresher. Limp basil and bean sprouts just didn't seem appetizing. Rice Vermicelli with pork and an egg roll was yummy! Would have liked a bit more char on my pork but it definitely satisfied my craving. Egg rolls were delish and the ngouc mam (not sure what you call it in English) was great once Sambel Olek was added. The have a wide variety, but a few selections from each category. They have varieties or rice dishes, noodles (wet and dry), egg rolls & other appetizers, Vietnamese salad, and beef stew. You could easily miss it since it's not very close to the street but it's in the same plaza as Bank of America and Tuesday Morning. The food is great and you can't beat the price. Is this place Pho So 9 or pho may? Hmmm service is good but food is not. Basic grill pork on vermicelli is all wrong. Pork is hard and tasted like they just dipped the hard pork into premixed teriyaki sauce. Also 1/3 of the bowl is full of bean sprouts. Beware this restaurant uses MSG. They should advertise and let people know since a lot of people have an allergy to MSG. It's really too bad because the food was delicious and it would probably be just as good if they leave out the MSG. After trying this restaurant a second time, they again used MSG! It is the only food ingredient I am allergic to and I know immediately when I eat it. I will never order from them again! If you are allergic to MSG, stay away. read more

My go-to pho joint near my work.... well now that I've changed jobs I guess I need to find a new spot, but I'll still give this place a review. ;) Whenever it got a little gloomy or cold the Staffing team made their way to Pho So 9 for a hot bowl of delicious pho!!! The only downside would be that sometimes service would be slow due to either a large number of customers or low on staff. Still, we always went back. I'm gonna miss this place haha! I wanted soup so bad on this rainy day. However I don't care for Pho. This place has the most delicious won ton soup. My friend enjoyed the pad Thai, it had a mixture of everything in it, chicken, meat and shrimp. We ordered it online to dine in which is obviously the way to go. That place gets super busy. It's probably best to get there early because lunch time is wayyyy busy. I am only giving a 3 star review based on the customer service. A pet peeve of mine is when they bring your food out one dish at a time. And they make the other people wait a ridiculous amount of time. Annnd the fact that our waiter was kind of rude. I get it, it's busy, so they can be short with you, or not so accommodating, but our waiter was very overwhelmed and was not apologetic about it. Boy Bye.
