My friend and I decided to come here for lunch one day on our Boy's Pocono Weekend. He had been here before and I'm glad he wanted to come back. The place was rather empty and appeared to be a converted former chain restaurant. It was clean and we sat at a booth. The menu is extensive and had English translation for what was in each bowl. Most dishes have a large or small choice and for a single person, I'd recommend the small as the large looked immense. I ordered what I thought would be a Pho with broth like a large soup but it was not. I had lots of noodles, meat, greens, and a side of sauce for dipping. It was lively and tasted delicious. I had to take some home as it was too much to handle. I also had a honeydew boba tea which was nice. My friend had the regular chicken pho which, he, too, couldn't finish the small. But both dishes hit the spot visually and taste. Great place if you like this type of food. We'd come back. read more

We preferred the Pork Bahn mi and combo pho. $30. Both items were a lot more flavorful than we have experienced lately. So far I've reviewed at least 20 Vietnamese restaurants around the world and this Bahn mi was the best I've had being juicy full of flavor with a bun that was not too hard or too soft. Oh how I wish I had a restaurant like this one near my house. Great portions and prices. You cannot go wrong with a grilled pork chop over rice at a Vietnamese restaurant, and they did not disappoint. They have two options though for grilled pork chop. One of them comes with one pork chop and the other comes with three, so make sure you ask. The pho was delicious and I got my bun with grilled pork and spring rolls. Our usual go to whenever we visit #8 Special Pho & #38 Grilled pork chop, shredded pork skin, fried egg, & egg loaf with rice. The broth for the pho is rich & flavorful and the grilled pork chop is seasoned well. Portions are generous and if you opt for the large bowl of pho it is massive. my family and I always dine here when we're in town. They have renovated and expanded, and with that comes an increase in price. However the portions do not dissapoint and the flavors remain consistent. Rented an Airbnb for a weekend getaway and came through for lunch on a Sunday around 1130am. Plenty of seating and started to fill up by time we ordered which was nice to see. Service and food here is phenomenal. Mom and pop type shop with their kids or some teens serving, but everything came out piping hot and delicious spring rolls reminded me of the ones I had in vietnam, especially the filling which was really good! The pho itself had a ton of depth and it was huge (ordered the large). Ordered some more food to go as we headed back to Jersey. Really great spot. Oh yea, if you like Vietnamese iced coffee, they do it dark here and I loved it. Let the ice melt though and enjoy it on the road. Will be back next time I'm in the area for sure read more

It was a cold snowy day so my friends and I wanted something to warm us up during our Presidents' Day trip. We all love pho and found this place not too far from the outlets. Very solid and authentic Vietnamese food, and a great dining option near Great Wolf Lodge/Kalahari. Our large bowls of pho were satisfying and filling, and taste great. The beef slices could be more thin and more rare, but there's a liberal amount, and the tendon pieces are meltingly soft. The fried egg rolls (cha giò) are excellent and come with lettuce to wrap in. The grilled pork chop is thick and well seasoned, and part of a delicious rice combo. The mains consist of only pho (rice noodle soup), bun (rice vermicelli bowls), and rice & meat platters, so it's a concentrated menu, but done well. Not among my top 5 pho/Vietnamese places but it's very good. read more

4.5 stars rounding up because the Poconos is a relative food desert. We used to frequent Pho Saigon 2, which sadly burned down. Now we drive an extra 10 minutes to satisfy Asian food cravings. The pho is legit: the broth is on point and the serving size generous. We never come without ordering the crispy spring rolls, which are always fantastic and hot out of the fryer. The Vietnamese coffee is like crack, it's so addictive and decadent. We tried the banh mi for the first time recently (it doesn't appear to be on the menu). Here, authenticity seems to be lacking, as they don't even offer a classic Vietnamese sandwich, only pork, chicken, or beef. Furthermore, they were skimpy on the veggies, making the sandwich more like a poboy and less like banh mi. But, the bread was fresh and it still tasted good. Service is always nice. Thank you to yelp friends, we're introduced to a hidden gem. My family and I were vacationing at an indoor waterpark and are tired of eating fast food. We wanted some home cooked meal and it's tough to find when you're not familiar with the area and options are limited. To our surprised, not far from our stay, there is a Vietnamese restaurant. Upon arrival to parking lot, we noticed the place is packed with cars. It was dinner hours. When we got inside, we're greeted by friendly face who took us to the last available table at that time. The servers there were very friendly and because we spoke in our native language, Vietnamese, they also felt comfortable with sending chili oil spice to our table (something that we usually like to have on the side when eating rice dishes) and boy did that kicked a notch. I had the rice and grilled slice pork, quiche, shredded pork and fried egg combination. It was cooked perfectly! I love my egg over medium and usually, Vietnamese restaurants never asks so the eggs comes out differently cooked in different restaurants but they cooked it just right. Grilled pork, quiche, shredded pork with fish sauce are flavorful. Definitely recommending this spot and will come back when in the area. read more

We were in the area at Kalahari water park and decided to venture out to eat at this restaurant. The drive was about 10 minutes to the location and the place had a parking lot for a good amount of cars. When we got I noticed that it seems to be like a family owned and operated business. They were nice and accommodating to what we were requesting. I ordered the grilled pork rice combo with fried egg and quiche. As for the appetizer I ordered the summer rolls. The meat had lots of flavor and had a nice char to it. Some other restaurants grill the meat on the pan while this one has a actual grill. You can tell by the flavors and taste of the meat. The fish sauce had a nice flavor to it as well, but I had to asked for a bit more because it was not enough for me. The summer rolls were good and up to the standards that I expect. Overall, the place had a good amount of tables to accommodate the patrons of the restaurant. The food was decent, available parking , close to attractions and shopping. If you are in the area of Kalahari I would suggest trying them if you are in the mood for Vietnamese food. read more

The grilled shrimp is really fresh, it's sweet but I didn't mind. It's grilled to perfection. The rice vermicelli is good once you add the sauce. It has carrot, radish, cucumber, & lettuce on the side. The rice also comes with salad on the side, same as other salad but this includes a slice of tomato. I am almost certain the owners are the same as the now closed Pho Saigon II. My family and I were making a trip to Kalahari and when I saw on Yelp that Pho Saigon II got burned down I was so sad! When I saw this restaurant pop up I was really hoping it's the same owners... and I believe it is! I recognize the older man and woman. The food was as delicious as I remembered. It was spacious. Good customer service. Prices are a little bit on the pricier side but I think it is well worth it. We ordered the fried crispy egg rolls, beef pho, and a grilled pork over rice.
