Friendly prompt service. Very tasty food! Prices are moderate, as can be expected in a nice,…read morewalkable, downtown location. Slight slope upward as you walk into the historic building. My dad loved the steak & tripe pho. I enjoyed the shrimp pho. The side of vegetables to be added to the soup included lime, jalapeño, bean sprouts. There was no basil today. But it was all good! We started the meal with shrimp summer rolls as our appetizer, but ate them too quickly to get a photo taken of them. The peanut dipping sauce was yummy. We parked on the street at a parking meter. This is a nice neighborhood to walk around either before or after your meal. Right next to the theater. We took a peek in the grocery store next-door (owned by the same family) and found bok choy, dragon fruit, lychee, coconut for drinking, and lots of ingredients you would want for doing your own Vietnamese cooking. The restaurant is busy on a Monday night at dinner time. Good sign!

Let me start by saying if you like Vietnamese food, DO NOT EAT HERE. Firstly, the typical fish…read moresauce dipping sauce that comes with the spring rolls was terrible, not sure what it was. The I ordered the same Pho I get everywhere, Fatty Brisket and meatballs. The brisket was gray and there were only a few pieces for the whole thing, I've never gotten such a skimpy order. The bag that comes with it with the bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil, and limes was the size of a kids snack bag. There was literally 4 pieces of Basil in it. I've never seen such skimpy portions. You'd think it was for a cereal size bowl not a Pho sized bowl. We will not be coming here again.

Lua Vietnamese in Edison pleasantly surprised us with both flavor and creativity…read more We ordered the beef pho, which was deeply aromatic with a clean, rich broth and tender slices of beef. The standout twist? You can add bone marrow on the side, which takes the soup to another level--luxurious, savory, and perfect for stirring into the broth for extra depth. A must for pho lovers who appreciate a little indulgence. For appetizers, the sticky rice dish was excellent--crispy on the outside, soft and comforting inside, and well-balanced with sauce and texture. Simple, satisfying, and done right. The space itself is sleek and modern with warm tones and greenery, making it a great spot for a relaxed lunch or casual dinner. Service was friendly and efficient, and everything came out well-paced.

This was my second time dining here. The first time we had Pho so this time I figured we would try…read moresomething else so we had the rice platters. I love short ribs so this was an easy decision for me. The ribs were very tasty and delicious with a very flavorful marinade. Some pieces were a bit on the chewy side but that's meant to be expected. The veggies were fresh and crisp and made a nice accompaniment. My hubby went with the Lemongrass pork chop platter that had a little bit of everything. He also commented that the chops had a very tasty marinade very similar to my ribs. He enjoyed his dish as well. Service was very friendly and attentive and we look forward to our next visit and sampling something new on the menu.
