Good food. Wait staff are quick to attend to you but very low key unless you ask for assistance then are ready to explain items and make suggestions. I am a big man and the regular Pho's are ample. I hated flavored teas until Pho Pasteur. The first time I had their Jasmine Tea I was not sure what to think. The second time I liked it. The third I loved it, and now swear it's addicting as I can not get enough. On a 100 degree Texas day I have found nothing more refreshing! (12/29/11 Update.) This location has sadly declined since my last visit. The dinning room does not look like it is being kept up as it has in the past. I tried to use the restroom on the way out and it was unkempt and nasty to the extent most past "outhouse" experiences have been better and I had leave without using it. Perhaps a cleaning person had been out sick because I have not experienced this problem at this vendor in the past. I might come back some time to see if this was just a bad day for them. My rating would normally have been a 4+ for Pho Pasteur. 06/12/12 I was there at lunch time and the place was not as busy as most past lunch hours with only a few other customers. (?) I was not giving any star, they dont deserve any. It's our second time here the 1st experience was good that's why we came back. But the 2nd time was horrible! They served a spoilt fried egg roll with the rancid pork meat in it, alarmingly it was my 9 year old daughters order, and good thing I asked to take a bite off her left over and spit it out. I was scared that my daughter would get food poisoning!!! I spoke to the brother of the owner and he just non chalantly said he was not going to charge us for the egg roll Wait what?! I wouldnt say pho pasteur is my favorite because it's not. It's just a replacement when my favorite pho place is closed for renovation. This is not my go to pho restaurant. Pho pasteur is okay. I do love their pandan soybean drink though. I want to take a carton home with me but they don't offer it. Their che xuong xa hot luu is not good either. The waiter only visited us twice. The first time is to take our order, and the other to deliver our food. It has a very calm and pleasant atmosphere. They have a TV available for people who want to watch sports. As soon as you walk in you are greeted and sat down where you please. You are handed menus and given time to look. I got the number 1 ( Pho- rice noodles with round steak) for 8.75 not including tax. Also got an order of spring rolls. I was satisfied with the pho. It was nothing special but definitely hit the spot. It was pleasantly well flavored with the right amount of spices and veggies. There were not stingy with bean sprouts, limes, and other condiments. I was disappointed with the spring rolls. They were dry and gooie and that is why i'm taking one star off. Also they don't come with peanut sauce and we had to ask to get some. I think the pho here is pretty good. I usually come here if I'm craving pho around my lunchtime since it's only a few minutes drive. The service isn't very good though. It looks like they are currently hiring right now, so that might explain things a bit, but still... I ordered some spring rolls as my appetizer along with a bowl of pho with an extra side of beef balls. I got my pho, finished eating it and my appetizer never came out. The lady apologized to me, but too little, too late! Also when I got my check and paid, I found out they charged me $3 for the extra side of beef balls. Seriously?! That made me mad. They gave me VERY little on the side! Maybe ONE extra beef ball cut up in four pieces. When I go to Pho Bang, I always order an extra side of beef ball, and they LOAD that stuff up for only $2! I always feel like I got my money's worth there. Here.. I just feel ripped off. Ugh. I LOVE this place. Thanks to a friend's Yelp review and a cold winter night, we decided to check it out. First of all, the place is clean. Such a relief when you feel like you are walking into a "hole in the wall" place. It is actually pretty big inside and everything looks clean. A big plus in my book. We have been twice in 3 weeks and both times started with an order of the egg rolls. They are crispy and not too greasy, filled with who knows what, but good enough to eat. The first time we went E got the brisket and meatball Pho and I got Pho Ga (with chicken). He wasn't a fan of the meatballs.. kinda hard... and no one likes hard balls. This time we both got the chicken and slurped it right up. Plenty of Sriracha available on the table, as well as other sauces, spices, and jalapenos. Best pho in Dallas. Deep rich beef broth packed with a ton of flavor, not watered down and thin like others. Absolutely incredible! Makes all others just taste like water. Very Good Pho. Nice clean place. The service started off very attentive but something went wrong once order was taken. It was taking quite a while for Pho. I assume it was the owner that came flying out of the kitchen and made the staff jump to. The food came out shortly along with a tea refill. The soup was seriously delicious and actually worth the small delay in arriving. When I went to pay the owner apologized profusely for the slow service. I told her it was fine and worth the wait. She insisted that there was no charge. I would have preferred to pay as I have suffered much longer waits at most chain restaurants. My favorite pho place in Dallas!! It always seems to be busy, but the service is quick and no-nonsense. The restaurant itself is nice and clean. I think that the reason why I like this place so much is that sometimes I find that pho leaves an oily feeling in my mouth, but the broth here tastes clean and fresh while still maintaining a savory flavor. I want to start this review by talking about how cute this restaurant is inside. The decorations are tasteful and everything is clean and modern. You don't get that dirty, stuffy feeling that you find in many of the other asian restaurants. Moving on to the food, this is some of the best vietnamese you can find in Dallas (in my opinion). The broth for the pho has a depth that puts it in a different league from other pho wannabees in Dallas. The noodles are perfectly chewy and they give you plenty of meat and veggies to add in. I also love love love the eggrolls and spring rolls here. I always order them, and often get a few more to go before I leave. Other things that I have tried and enjoyed are the pork vermicelli bowl (you can't go wrong with this), and the bahn mi's have good balance and are made on great bread. Because it's damn good, fairly authentic, and reasonably priced. I'm a man of simple tastes so I normally get the Pho Beef with rare steak, an order of the spring rolls and if I'm really hungry, a half order of the egg rolls. Vietnamese egg rolls are very dense with vermicelli noodles and ground pork, and are served with fish sauce. Delicious. There is plenty of parking, the place is clean and neat, and whoever can speak English will take your order promptly. Service is quick and no-nonsense. This was my go-to Vietnamese joint when I worked in Richardson for 4 years. I still stop by when I'm in the neighborhood and the owner still remembers me to this day. I recently checked the yelp reviews and found one comment about someone getting sick from the food served in this restaurant. It's been about year since I last ate here because I too got violently ill from eating here. Previously, I had eaten here several other times. I know it was the food from this restaurant because I had only eaten soup and sandwiches for a couple of days previously from my home. I would be very careful eating here. I love this place! I literally come here every other week. It's about 20 minutes from my house and 25 minutes from my job. Even though there are places closer I always make the trip here. Sunday is a busy day so I call ahead and just get Togo but on weekdays it's pretty chill for an after work meal. Food always comes out fast and always taste great! My second favorite Pho place in Dallas. I go here b/c its closer to my house then Pho Bang but not as good. That said, its still better then most of the other Pho places by far. Pasteur has a good representation of Viet food on their menu. I like their pho, bun bo hue and com thit nuong. Little known gem about them, they make an awesome Bun mang vit (Duck and bamboo noodle soup). Sure its pungent, but most delicious Viet food usually is. It's not bad. As soon as we walked in, a nice young man greeted us and led us to our table. We took about ten minutes to decide what we wanted and only five minutes after that or food came out. I'm not sure if it was because I was starving from not eating all day but I was super excited when it came out so quickly. My first spoonful was surprising. At first I thought it was too salty but when I kept drinking the soup it had this weird addicting taste to it. The meat portion is very nice as well. They give you a good amount of meat, and the quality seemed fresher than the usual pho I eat. I still prefer pho in Arlington, but this place was pretty good too. I am having a hard time because I think I've had better pho at two other places in Dallas (Pho is for lovers and Ba Le), not that this place was bad but not the best. There wasn't a tofu option and there were no vegetable except for onion. Maybe these aren't traditional pho but I don't eat a ton of meat and don't require it or necessarily want it at every meal. I ordered the chicken pho, bf ordered some kind of beef combo pho. We tried ours, we tried each others. They were both really good. The price is super fantastic at under $7 for a meal. Why I couldn't give them four stars: the atmosphere. There were just gobs and gobs of people standing around and the children made it zoo-like running around like it was a playground. The space almost seemed too large, less intimate, more quick dining (which maybe that's just what it is). I wouldn't be opposed to going back but I'm not in a rush. read more

We drove around our aunts place looking for a good pho places and found this place. Not your typical pho name for a restaurant. Which is unique and cool. Any who this place is huge tons of tables which means great for large parties. I have a huge obsession now for Bun Bo Hue, have tried quite of few places in Dallas/Richardson area. Nothing comes close to the clean super flavorful broth that this place has. I'm not your typical bun bo Hue eater, I ask for beef only not into the pork bone with skin and tendon. But if your into that type of food I've heard lots of great things. Texture and chew-ness gets me. Oh and the portion sizes for the meat was a bit less for a large order but maybe the person that packed my meal had small hands. I would definitely come back for another bun bo Hue! My wife ordered the chicken pho and loved/enjoyed it just as I much as I did with mine. This is the real definition of clean broth but also flavorful. If you want pho, I wouldn't eat here. We were on our way to a different pho place in Garland but decided to stop at this place since they have so many high reviews. That was a big mistake... Their pho broth was bland, how could you call it pho when it tasted like pho noodle in plain hot water with some meat. yuck... Beside that, how could you not have pickled chilies? I do like sriracha sauce but I want varieties. As for service, it's just a typical "serve your food and drink then disappear" I do have to give them credit for cleanliness for an pho place.
