I was in the area on business and wanted something different. Pho sounded really good so I checked Yelp and off I went. Food - My eyes got the better of me but it was all worth it. I started with the Goi Cuon Heo Nuong and they were really good. The peanut sauce was good but I should have asked for the sweet chili sauce. Then for my main course I ordered the Tai Pho. Once again got bold and ordered the large bowl. Holy Moly was it big. The broth was good and the steak was very flavorful. Overall there were plenty of noodles and meat. Then when I checked my bank statement they had charged me $13.04. When I confronted the manager, he consistently spoke over my while saying that "its only $2 and if we wanted to steal from you, it would be more." Not only is this condescending and presumptuous, I think he is confused on the definition of THEFT. His excuse over and over again was that "he was not here yesterday". I was in the area. Haven't eaten anything in 8 hours so we stopped here. The parking was pretty tight but we weaved our way around to find a space to fit our SUV. The ambience is nice. It's well decorated. Lights are slightly dimmed. Nice intimate setting. We were seated promptly close to a young Caucasian couple who had no idea how to use chopsticks and smelled every bite before eating it. They talked way too much. I knew their dog's name and what she would be wearing to her grandma's birthday party. Our server came by to get our drink order and gave us a few more minutes to browse through the menu. Like others mentioned, pho broth is solid. I ordered the vermicelli noodle salad. They didn't bring the sauce. It was difficult to track someone down. The first employee said "Ok" when I asked him that my sauce was missing. But he never came back. Did he not understand me? Another 5 or so minutes went by and I had tracked down another employee. She brought the sauce almost 10 minutes later. At this point, I was already full from eating some of my husband's pho noodles. Getting our check was another adventure. Most of the employees that walked in the dining area were looking at their feet after dropping off orders and then walked straight to the back. We listened to the couple talk about their lives and people watched to pass time. No one came back to refill our drinks or bring the check. The decor at Pho One24 is modern, and the space is clean. This place also has really good service. My server actually came by to check on me. I've eaten many phos in my lifetime, and I can count on one hand when the server actually came back after delivering the food to the table. As for the pho dac biet, it is solidly good. The broth is aromatic, meaty, and clean. The meaty bits were all present. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The pho in essence tastes like it came from a hole-in-the-wall pho place, but this place has the benefits of providing a nice environment also. Pho One24 is in an unassuming strip mall by Culver's and across the street from Goodwill, but it is probably one of the best pho places in town. I'm not a pho expert, but I looooove a big bowl of pho, especially on a chilly Wisconsin day and this place definitely delivers. It gets a little busy during weekday lunch hours but we've still never had to wait. Food comes out fast and service is always friendly. There are an abundant amount of menu choices for pho with different types of meat (including the tendon, tripe etc). In addition, we have had their Korean Kalbi beef with rice and pad Thai, both of which were delicious. The bubble tea is fantastic (my favorite is the taro). The food was pretty good, but I have a big complaint about the soft drink charges. All four main courses and two appetizers were fine. However, the bill was quite a bit higher than I expected. That is when I saw that a (can of) Coke was $2.50, and the refill (another can) was ANOTHER $2.50. I guess we need to be careful to ALWAYS ask if refills are free of charge, even 20 cent cans. Then I saw that my Arnie Palmer (not a cocktail, but a soft drink made of half lemonade and half iced tea) was charged at $4.95, as was the refill. Did the waitress think this was a cocktail? It was served as tacky as can be in a clear 12 oz plastic cup with saran wrap covering it, so it certainly did not look like a cocktail. Then I looked at the menu again, and it should also have been $2.50 like the Coke. But I got charged $4.95. BTW, the menu did not indicate there were no free refills. I tried to discuss this with the wait staff, but no one had good enough English; Imagine that. Won't be going back because I felt duped and cheated. I know that some restaurants are adding in charges to make up for the last 2 years, but a $2.50 or totally overcharged $5 soft drink with full price refills is too much for me. $15 for a coke plus refill and an Arnie Palmer plus refill. I came here maybe 4 years ago and thought it was just ok but in the last two years this has been my go to spot for Vietnamese in the Brookfield / Tosa area. It is super authentic and the large menu has everything you would want for Vietnamese food and more. Stopped into Pho One24 for dinner with friends and had a nice time. From the outside it's just a typical strip mall storefront and the inside is pretty typical as well. We were seated right away, and got an order of the crab rangoons. They were a good starter dish to split for the table. For dinner we all tried the Pho. I thought it was very good and had a great amount of meat and ingredients in it. I found it to be very filling, especially with all of the broth, so I definitely left satisfied. They really had an extensive menu of other options, and as we were checking out other tables around us, I decided we need to return to try some other menu items. They all looked delicious as well! Our service was good, the server answered our questions as best he could and definitely helped us in choices of what to order. Decided to try a Banh Mi sandwich and veggie egg rolls for take. I was greeted right away when I arrived and was given a menu to order. I decided to get the pork Banh Mi. This was my first time trying this place. It was very modern and clean. I sat at the bar while I waited for my food. I was offered a bottled water which I thought was very kind and a nice touch. My food took about 10 minutes to make and I was out the door. The sandwich is huge!!! The pork was well seasoned and the veggies on top crisp and delicious. The egg rolls in the other hand were very greasy. After the first one I could not take trying to eat the others. So I cut them open and dug out the insides which I did enjoy with the sweet and sour sauce. Overall I would love to go back and dine in and try some of there Pho. I haven't had much experience with Vietnamese food, but this place is definitely the most upscale joint I've been too (but maybe that's just because it's clean and new). The dishes are meant for individual consumption, as most of the will come with a small portion of meat and a side of rice or even salad, but I went with my family and we did just fine sharing. They have a huge selection of pasta dishes, which is probably their specialty. I didn't find the pho anything special and didn't like their bahn mi (I've had better), but I LOVED #80 tofu and mushroom dish. This is a solid location if you are getting introduced to pho or any other vietnamese food in general. I think their food caters more to the American palette so their food is sweeter than normal. I have gotten their pho many times and it's pretty solid. My friends have gotten their vegetarian pho which they want to get again all the time. I have had other friends get the vermicelli noodle bowl and she said it was quite delicious. My main qualm with this restaurant is that their service can be quite slow. They seat you immediately but I have had varied experiences with how quickly their food comes out. I went to the dog park with a friend once right down the street and we wanted some boba tea. Their boba is very good but the wait gave me a slightly sour taste in my mouth. I watched the server hang out for quite a while (not at the cashier or checking on other customers, just hanging out) and finally they made our boba teas. I don't really think it takes 20 minutes to make boab teas but I also don't work in the restaurant industry so I'm not sure. Like I said, the food is very solid and so is their boba tea BUT my biggest issues are the inconsistencies with serving and wait times. Fantastic atmosphere and service right off the bat! Not to mention it was hopping! You know you're in the right place when there is a constant stream of patrons. Great menu proceeds the excellent dishes. We lived in Asia awhile so really appreciate the authentic quality cuisine. We had the crab (loaded) Rangoons, pork (lemongrass infused) spring rolls with the peanut sauce appetizer and shared Mi Xao Don Tom. All highly recommended. I am one to never write reviews. I was very optimistic about trying a new pho place. The environment was clean and calm and service was fast. When my Pad Thai came out, first thing I noticed was that my Pad Thai was PINK...I giggled that thought that it's pink probably because I asked for it to be spicy. As I dug my fork in, the noodles were broken. There was not one strand of noodle; I ended up using a spoon instead. The first bite was hot (temperature wise) but not to the spice level I asked for. And so I wondered where the pink came from. I decided to continue eating and the whole time thought about how much I missed another restaurant's Pad Thai. My boyfriend had the pho which, the whole time, he was adding more and more condiments to it.. For this experience I felt the price was too high. Honestly don't think I'd make another visit. We had phó for my daughters birthday. We ordered the #2 regular size beef pho with everything. It was really good and the portion was just right. We had beef and chicken saté and both were exceptional. The pork fried rice was good as well. This is the only Vietnamese place I've been to in the region that has a lot of vegetarian choices. Although there's not a lot of meat in Southeast Asian cuisines, the soups are meat based and usually there's a cultural misunderstanding about vegetarian even though they are Buddhists. Here, they offer a selection of Pho (why do we spell it this way?) using vegetable based stock and other actually vegetarian dishes. Vietnamese cuisine doesn't generally include dairy to begin with so I think these dishes are also vegan but vegan is definitely an Occidental concept that doesn't readily translate so I'm not going be able to assert this. There are more noodle soup choices than in other Vietnamese places I've been to, I like the Tai Nam pho here. The decor is nicer as well. As with the other Southeast Asian restaurants, it takes a couple of visits before they will believe you want the food authentically spicy. read more

What a lovely dinner we had at Pho One24! I've been to Vietnam and wanted to introduce my family to Vietnamese cuisine. Pho One24 had great Yelp reviews so I suggested we give it a try. It did not disappoint, and the food was just as fresh, authentic, and delicious as I had in Hanoi. We started with the Vietnamese hot coffee (fantastic and strong) along with papaya salad and fish spring roll. The papaya salad was especially excellent - I could have had only that for dinner and been super happy! We then had a couple different stir fries and the chicken pho. Everyone really enjoyed their food. You can tell they make their own broth, which was clear and delicate. A few other reviews criticized prices and service, but we had no problems with either. First, regarding price. In my opinion, the prices here are extremely reasonable and in line with the high quality of the ingredients. I'm sure you can find cheaper Vietnamese restaurants, but I'd rather pay a little more and get the quality of food that this restaurant has. Also, we found the service to be very nice, with people who are soft-spoken, polite, and friendly at the same time. We definitely will be back! read more

The weather was cold early last Sunday morning, and I woke from dreaming of a hot steaming bowl of pho. Pho One24 has been on my radar for a while, so the time was right to give it a try. The restaurant is very clean and decorated in a cheerful green. We are seated, and I immediately examine the table condiment set up.... Soy Sauce (light and dark). Check! Chili Sauce. Check! Sriracha. Check! Hoisin Sauce. Check! and last but not least, my favorite Crispy Chili Sauce. Check! We ordered drinks, and I opted for the green tea. It was served in the cutest tea pot and made with loose tea leaves. Honestly, the tea pot was so adorable, I wanted to take it home. Oh, and the tea was great as well. We opted for an appetizer from the Daily Special Menu. We tried the Tau Hu Ky, which is fried shrimp in a bean curd skin. They were very flavorful, and were made with plenty of shrimp. It was a nice warm up, while waiting for the main event. We both ordered the #1 Pho, which includes the beef, meatballs, tendon, and tripe. It is the same as the #2, but just a bit larger. The bowls came out steaming hot with a side of sprouts and thai basil. The aroma was awesome and the broth rich in color. I tried the broth straight, and found it really solid. It was beefy with a hint of spice. My personal preference is a broth with just a bit more star anise, clove and cardamom, however their basic broth was excellent without any additions from the table. The tripe and tendon were cooked to perfection, which is not easy to accomplish. The noodle to broth ratio was right on, and the portion was so large that I needed a to go container. Service was fast and courteous. We really enjoyed our visit and will return for another bowl when my craving returns. read more

My bf and I were in the Tosa/Brookfield area so we figured we might as well eat around here. Looked up places on Yelp, and Pho One pops up. It's 9 degrees out, so it's inevitable that we were down to pho (corny I know, lol). Walking in, it is very updated, contemporary, and clean. I have this theory that the more run-down, hole in the wall an ethnic restaurant looks, the better its food is; I was a little weary about the quality of the pho. We ordered some cha gio (egg rolls) and I ordered pho with steak and brisket. The egg rolls came out right away and they were mediocre at best, it seemed like they were store bought and not home made. The pho broth was light in consistency and saltiness and the brisket pulled apart like flakes--so good. The steak could have been more tender. Overall it was a solid bowl and definitely filled me up. I think this new restaurant is fantastic!! For its inconspicuous location between Culver's and Chipotle, it's a nice restaurant. I ordered the chicken pan fried egg noodle dish (#61), and it was absolutely delicious!! My sister ordered the steak pho and was completely satisfied. The portions are pretty decent, too. We both took our leftovers home. The ambience was nice; bigger than what the outside reveals. The service was great: John and the girls went out of their way to humor us. My son and I love pho. We are originally from California and had some of the best pho. At pho one24 my son and I ordered the rare beef pho via door dash The broth was flavorless, almost water like. I love a lot of fresh basil in mine. We only got to small sprigs of basil. They didn't include any chili paste. We won't be ordering from this place again. Update: we ordered sandwiches for the next day. Not good or authentic. Lacked the pickled sweet carrots. Used just shredded carrots. No pate spread or jalapeños.
