Quick service, tasty pho and friendly staff can be found at Pho Mr. Do, what else could you ask for?

The pros: clean, good service, not overly greasy bbh broth and an abundance of thick vermicelli noodles. Reasonable prices compared to other places. The cons: too much msg still thirsty 4 hours after eating there. My Mom had the seafood pho and she said there wasn't a lot of meat/seafood.

I've been visiting Mr. Do for a while now whenever I am craving pho. I really like that food comes to my table a few minutes after ordering. Rice noodles with soup, and a bit of toppings are so comforting! One of the waitresses is super lovely, but the other keeps on commenting "really???" whenever I ask for a fork!! It's so unnecessary!! I feel more comfortable using a fork than chopsticks when I'm enjoying pho noodles, so I'd prefer if she just let be me and enjoy my overall experience in Mr. Do's pho restaurant.

During Happy Hour between 3 - 5pm, all regular items are 10% off @phomrdo I ordered a (No Cilantro) small 29. Phở Tái Nạm Gân Sách Noodle Soup with Eye Round Steak, Beef Brisket, Soft Tendon and Beef Tripe All side ingredients included bean spouts, lemon wedge, green hot peppers and basils sitting on the side plate. Lots of green onions, white onions are on top of my beef soup noodles. The noodles are thin rice noodles. Authentic average Pho! I was surprised when I flipped the noodles, the amount of noodles was more than 1.5 servings. I thought the waitress made a mistake and made my order in large. At the end, I found out that my order was correct and that was small size. That's a good deal $10.85 + tax + 10% off during happy hour. You can add $1 to large size. Vegetarian pho with rice noodles (small; vegan)

Top-notch vegetarian (vegan) pho -- can't really ask for better. We visited for lunch during the week, having seen that they do vegetarian (indeed, vegan) pho. My wife ordered a small vegetarian pho with rice noodles ($11.95) and I ordered a large ($12.95), and added satay broth ($2) to mine to spice it up. Both soups came out in about 5 minutes. The soup comes with a generous portion of rice noodles, mixed veggies (broccoli, carrot and onions), steamed firm tofu and some green onions for garnish, along with the usual toppings (bean sprouts, jalapeno, basil and lemon). My satay broth was divine -- beautifully spicy, adding just enough of a kick to make the broth a little more intense than the base broth. I enjoyed every spoonful and was comfortable full afterwards. Super friendly, quick and informative service. This is simply one of the best places I've been to for pho in Greater Van -- and that's saying something given how many great pho places there are now that do veggie versions of it. No frills, just excellent quality pho for a good price. Highly recommended.

It took me 40 minutes and driven 28 km one way from my Richmond home to here for a meal, I am not disappointed at all... we think it is well worth the trip. I don't mean there's no good Vietnamese food in Richmond, but when all the reasons add up: the place, the food, the service, the price and ambience. I choose to come eat here! Other than there is only one washroom, I do not see any other reasons not rating them 5 stars... All I can say is Pho Mr. Do do PHO with a heart.

Looks like Pho Tan has now evolved again. That previous place sure didn't last too long. Parking is available along Hastings. The interior looks quite modern. Staff are friendly. I think it's a family-run place. Looked like a husband and wife team, though I'm not completely sure. The pho here hit the spot quite nicely. Nice springy noodles. Served with raw onion slices and green onions. The house hot sauce is unique. Instead of just chili seeds, it seems to be made of chili skins possibly mixed with garlic chunks. I haven't seen this anywhere else. Adds quite a bit of heat to one's pho. Special mention. Lastly, the staff provide a nice complimentary cold glass of lemonade with basil seeds at the end. This really hits the spot. Another special mention. We have a new winner in the area. Now if they only closed later.

Ok, so menus are tricky to figure out. My favorite viet rice dish consists of shredded pork skin and the "egg cake" - a steamed yellow top egg with ground meat and transparent rice noodles, presented as usually a cube. Many places don't have it and judging by the menu this place didn't either but I was pleasantly surprised! #68 has grilled chicken, egg cake and shredded pork with rice and veggies and everything is pretty delish. Would recommend and come back. Service also good.

Pretty good pho in town. Interesting got the satay pho and it was pretty good and got the special pho too and the soup was pretty flavourful. I think its a pretty good comfort viet restaurant around the area. Avoid the spring roll though because it wasnt that good. Cheers!

We arrived in the 'Burnaby Heights' area yesterday about 10:20 am, and used the time before lunch to walkabout and browse a few shops and stores, catching a few new-to-us sights and sounds, and such. And then headed to 'Pho Mr. Do' for its opening time of 11 am - and fortunately, found parking just a couple of doors away from the restaurant (it is one-hour, free street parking in the area). Once inside the restaurant, we were nicely-greeted by our young server, and other staff, chose a table, provided menus, and very soon after, a tea pot of hot tea (especially comforting after our cold morning walkabouts). Ambiance: 'warm' tones, casual - for us, inviting and welcoming to the senses. Service: very warm, friendly, and cordial throughout our stay, and accommodating to our table service needs -- with extra bowls and such, so that we could easily and properly share food ordered, keeping our tea pot full, and ensuring us she was nearby, should we wish anything else. Food: (dishes named and described as listed in their inhouse menu) - Appetizers: Salad Roll (2 pc) (Goi Cuon) -- Deep Fried Chicken Wing (6 pc) (Canh Ga Chien) -- Deep Fried Tofu (several pc) (Dau Hu Chien). - Pho: The Fortifying Combo: #24 - Noodle Soup w/Eye Round Steak, Brisket, and Beef Ball (large) -- Specialty Items: #34 - Seafood and Rice Noodles in Soup w/Prawn, Crab Meat, and Squid (large). One Pho ordered as 'Chef Special' Combo Pho, came w/salad roll). The food dishes arrived from kitchen to table looking good, and perfectly-sequenced, with appetizers coming first, and soups closely following. All dishes prepared to order, and served at their appropriate temperatures. The appetizers were a great start to our meal, each prepared well, flavourful, and tasty -- salad roll ingredients fresh, cool, and 'crisp' -- tofu cubes very thinly-battered, the tofu so warm and creamy -- chicken wings lightly battered, meat soft and tender. The noodle soups colourful and hot - broths 'light', distinctly flavourful, and tasty - other ingredients (veggies, meats, and seafoods) well-prepared, with nothing overcooked. Garnishes for the soups (sprigs of mint, bean sprouts, and sliced jalapeno pepper) were fresh and crisp. We were so happy to have selected 'Pho Mr. Do' for lunch -- a first time dining experience there for us, and it turned out to be such a delight!!

Service was excellent here, the server was quite attentive and filled out our water multiple times throughout our meal. They were also friendly and speedy. The food was also great. The bean sprouts and Thai basil were super fresh. The pho had a good amount of beef in it and the taste was excellent. We also ordered their 3 roll appetizer. I think the spring roll was my favourite out of the 3. It was crispy and flakey on the outside. I also saw a staff wrapping them in the back of the restaurant, so I know it was all made in house. The spring rolls were good and super fresh, but I couldn't taste much of a different between the prawn and the ham one. The restaurant was also clean and nicely decorated. They also have good covid protocol in place.

Update: ISO: person who can roll average body type but tall woman out of restaurant. I took tooook tooo muuuch. Service is unbelievable. Friday night and only two tables available and food is out in 4 min. Amazingly cooked. Then I had the deep fried sausage rolls which are off the menu and they're like After Eights of the pork world. So cheap too. These people are doing things right. Now someone please seriously come get me, I can't move

Have you ever gone to a restaurant and you feel like you are at someone's home because the staff were so pleasant and warm? That's Pho Mr. Do. In addition, the food they serve is pleasing both to the palette and to the eyes. Mr. Do, the owner, was also personally tending to the customers. Had the pleasure of talking candidly with him about how this is just one of three restaurants that his family owns and runs. He mentioned that he's focusing on integrating the restaurant with the community. You can clearly tell from how clean and well maintained the place is that they take pride in their family run business. Looking for a good Pho place? Look no further than Pho Mr. Do.

The bean sprouts are buried at the bottom of the bowl, not served on top. Not sure if this means the volume of food is reduced. Overall quality is decent. The other dishes here look pretty good too. Really lame vegetarian pho -- this is what my review is based on…read more I stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday after noticing they had a vegetarian pho ($14.50 for a small; $15.50 for a large). It does not come with tofu, so I added some (another $4!) to my small size. The pho came out in less than 10 minutes. The pho came with lots of veggies (lots of broccoli, plus cauliflower, carrot, celery, white onion and green onion), plus lots of rice noodles, and tofu. Of course, the broth is usually what makes or breaks a pho, and this was one of the most low-effort, lamest vegetable broths I've tried in Greater Vancouver (and I've tried over 90 pho places in the Metro area that have veggie pho options). In fact, I saw the woman fill up my pho bowl from the hot water dispenser. So, they don't even bother to have a proper veggie broth; they just base the broth on hot water, with maybe some salt and possibly some other spices? The broth tasted like barely salted water. Super lame. Embarrassing product to serve. The value is bad given the very lame quality. I like that they have a veggie pho option. The portion is big and you get lots of vegetables, though the lack of tofu is definitely a thumbs down given the already above average price for the pho. All in all, don't come here for veggie pho. 2 stars is very generous.
