This is one of the only few veg friendly Asian food spots in Georgetown. Definitely our go to when we want this type of food. I've had some amazing dishes here and I've also had some just okay ones. I would pass on the tofu banh mi and tempura just wasn't feeling it. The banh mi was kinda bland. The noodle dishes are delicious and so are the tofu plates. Felt like eating some soup so we decided to try the newest pho restaurant in Georgetown Pho MPH. I ordered the regular beef pho with EXTRA jalapeños (as always) and a side of chili oil. Wifey ordered a pork Bahn-Mi sandwich, and a side of their special tempura fried green beans which she was looking forward to trying. My pho was delicious. Broth was excellent and spicy after I added their specially made chili oil which happened to be really spicy. Tightly spun noodles at the bottom of the bowl, and fresh cut basil, jalapeños, cilantro and bean sprouts. Wife's bahn-mi sandwich was good. Flaky crusted roll, with some deeply marinated pork and fresh veggies on it. Unfortunately she didn't get to try the fried green beans because they ran out. Boooooo! I guess we have to come back to sample these bad boys. We shared a hot green tea which to my surprise was VERY good! I usually don't drink tea. I've been to the Austin location before I moved and I'm so glad there's a location right next to where I live! Flavor is consistent and the food is always served at an appetizing temperature. There's a sign that says there's a sriracha shortage so you will have to pay extra if you ask for more sauce. I only ever get the chicken pho and it was very tasty. I'm still not very found of how extra bean sprouts cost extra but it's still a nice hot meal. I didn't get the Rangoons this time as I normally did in Austin so but I'll have to get them next time :) read more

Wonderful time here recently. Husband got the rare steak pho. Please bear in mind that when you order that, that the steam from the broth should be allowed to cook the steak. The Rangoon was a nice appetizer but on the sweet side. The chicken fried rice was clean. I ordered mine without all the onions only because our side of fried rice was filled with chopped white onion. I also ordered the chicken pad Thai which was great. The staff was amazing. I take off a star because of all the flies and gnats around the tables. Also the prices were definitely on the high side. I understand our economy is in shambles now but this place will cost you. Having spent several years in South Vietnam during the war as an advisor, I found the food to be wonderful, and it brought back fond memories of my time there. I ordered the chicken vermicelli, it was good minus the cucumber that was on my plate was very bitter. I also ordered wonton soup and sweet and sour. The wonton soup was good I wish they would fill the entire Togo container. And the sweet and sour was different not like one from Chinese restaurant and my mom did not like it. read more

Coming from a state with 1000s of food options per zip code, it is truly refreshing to find this gem. They know how to do Pho and Poke. It is worth dining in. Strange, they have Thai and Vietnamese, and Chinese food. Seems like a bit identity crisis. Still, they pull it off. But Pho and Poke is the shining star here. Recently moved to Georgetown. Much like 100s of others. One complaint is "lack of diversity" with food options. Well, it seems Georgetown is growing up. I have witness several new restaurant options in the recent months. We ordered the shrimp pho and the brisket steak pho. The broth was tasty. It felt light but flavorful. The shrimp pho was definitely better than the brisket pho in my opinion. Both needed a little spice (yes it did come with a generic hot sauce packet, which overwhelmed the flavor.). I will definitely try this establishment again. read more

When I first looked at reviews I was concerned, I've been waiting for this place to open for some time. But all the negative reviews don't concern the food. Placed a to go order, was ready on time. Quick and easy pick up. Packaging was great. I did ask for a side of chili oil which was forgotten but that's fine. Other than that the service was friendly. We ordered rare steak pho, brisket pho and fried dumplings. The phos were bother very tasty. The broth is extremely warming and fragrant, some of the best pho broth I've had in a bit. Portions are good size and the topping were fresh. Dumplings and the sauce that accompanies them were also delicious. Prices seem a bit steep, spent almost $40 for two phos and dumplings. But maybe I'm just getting used to this inflation nonsense. Will be back to try other things. read more

Checked out this Vietnamese restaurant today. We went the first week they opened and had not yet made it back. We will definitely be going back. The ingredients in the Vermicelli bowl were fresh and lots of veggies the way we like it! I had the hot and sour soup and spring rolls. Pho MPH offered a fresh and pleasant dining experience when we dined early evening on Saturday during their soft opening. The incredibly fresh ingredients and preparation was evident and the flavors were really good and a bit mild as expected, so ask for added spice and Chile oil to make it how you like yours. It's a Mom & Pop restaurant, so the family involvement was expected and it made for a great experience and attentive service, as is usual. The decor is incredibly well done and fitting for the concept. The nicer dinnerware, stemware, and flatware compliment the Asian Fusion experience and make the good food and service even better. The Pho and Poke are central on the expanded menu and definitely meet the Austin level of expectations for Pho. There's lots of Asia Fusion menu items that look really good that I look forward to working through over the coming months. The Orange Chicken was excellent in taste and preparation with a lighter sauce that was somewhat sweet, but not syrupy by any means with lots of orange richness from the fresh fruit, juice, and peel. Really well done and flavorful! The Cheese Rangoons are really hearty with lots of cream cheese, shallots, etc. that was unexpected but certainly enjoyed by our table. read more

We ordered Vietnamese chicken wings, a shrimp salad and a #42 pho rare steak and meatballs. Everything was good, we liked crispy texture of the chicken wings, and the crunch and flavor of the shrimp salad. The pho had a nice quantity of meat but the flavor lacked compared to other pho restaurants. Everything was a tad more expensive than the other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. I wasn't a fan of the fact that they only gave normal spoons to eat the pho with. It keep falling into my soup. Wish they gave the spoons that have a hook at the end of the handle. And they served our water in wine glasses, I would have personally preferred just normal glasses. The interior was clean and updated (since it is a new restaurant) and there is nice natural light. The service was but but in terms of my entire experience, I'm not itching to return, considering that there are better options around the area. read more

I went a couple weeks ago during their grand opening. We had dumplings and Filet Pho with added meatballs. I found the pork dumplings to be dry inside, a bit chewy, and did not seem to be homemade. I stopped eating them. The filet PHO was good but was light on the meat, which was surprising because I had ordered extra. The boba Thai tea was good and they do have the machine that seals them so it is handy to get some to go without any chance of spilling. Overall I will try again after they have a chance to shake everything out and all staff are familiar with the menu and prep. It has the potential to be a wonderful addition to my list of Pho restaurants, if the issues are corrected. read more

It seems as if the lovely lady is handling everything in the front of the house by herself so we all should give her grace and be patient. With that being said, I wish them much success! We came in 30 minutes before closing, not usually something we'd like to do but have been busy packing and lost track of time. We were asked if we were ordering to go because they closed in 30 minutes and were turned away when we said we intended to eat there. Was really excited to try this place but this will probably be our only attempt. Pho Tahn Ni is in our regular rotation and looks like it will keep getting our business. If you're looking for great food and better service I highly recommend making the drive to Cedar Park and visiting them instead. Rare doesn't mean raw. The "rare" steak that came with the #41. Pho Tai was bright pink and looked like it was just cut from the cow. Even the fully cooked steak that came with the combination lo mein tasted off. A smaller thing, but just as irritating, is that I ordered egg rolls but got spring rolls instead. The lettuce was cut in small triangle pieces and was extremely willy. the chicken pieces were so small it was difficult to tell them from the over abundant number of onion. the carrot was extremely small and didn't even provide color to the dish.. it was extremely soupy so combined with wilty lettuce the whole dish was a bust. My friend ordered the house poke bowl. she waited 10 min so my dish was extremely cold by then.. we have been several times, they were good when they first opened but have progressively gone down hill quickly. I think the sign "grand opening" still being there after a year of being open shows how much energy is put into the business. I got the wonton and bbq soup and it tasted like fabulouso, I kid you not. The chili paste tastes like it's mixed with picante and if you want extra it's 50¢. For a $16 soup I was still hungry after. The kids pho you have to pay extra for meat and they bring one small meatball cut into four pieces. The fried rice smelled off like it was precooked days ago and heated on a as needed basis. I had a combination vermicelli bowl (maybe it was #131) and it was fantastic! I can't wait to go back. I usually don't get anything but chicken in my vermicelli bowls and I never order beef, but I'm so glad I did because it was actually the best part. Everything was very tender and full of flavor, I even asked for extra fish sauce because it was so, so good. The egg roll that came on top of it was one of the best egg rolls I've had. I really hope they are successful and stay open! I would like the restaurant to consider having you order at the register and pay at the same time OR have an attentive server that you pay. They've got it kind of a little bit of both which is confusing and lacks customer service. You order with a server, but are not given a ticket and are supposed to know to go up to the register to pay. I could see people just walking out without paying if they were ever busy, I think the staff wouldn't notice. There's a sign that says please wait to be seated, but nobody came to seat me, so I stood there awkwardly, and then walked towards the register where I was told to sit anywhere and someone would bring me a menu. Then a server took my order but other than taking my order and bringing me my food, no one else ever stopped by at all, so I had to stop someone and ask them how to pay. I assumed they would bring me a ticket. Nobody ever asked how my food was or if I needed anything else (I did stop someone to ask for more sauce, and they were very nice about it). They refrained from eye contact so it was harder to get their attention even though they kept walking by. I guess you don't actually get a server, someone just takes your order at your table and brings it, but that's it. Which is fine, it's just that they've got a little bit of each thing going on with no guidance, so you're not real sure what to do if you haven't been there before so I sat there for a while, wanting my ticket, before I stopped someone. I don't actually know of any other restaurant where you order at a table with someone but then just go pay at the register when you're done without getting a ticket (how would that work if they were slammed, remembering what people had or where they sat) and there's no signage or direction whatsoever (at least not that I noticed) to tell you to go to the register when you're done. Restaurants that have that process of sending you to the register usually have a server that tends to you and give you your ticket and let you know to pay at the register. So other than being a bit on your own to figure things out, everything else was really great. It was very nice, clean, quick, the staff was very polite, and the food was great. They could just be a little more attentive and provide more guidance for first timers. Perhaps today it was just an off day or they were short-staffed or just slow enough that they did things differently. It looks like management is good about reading the reviews so I really hope you guys take this review to heart and make a few changes to help things run more smoothly!
