Crispy Chicken Noodles - Really good!
    Jessica C.

Vietnamese food in my area is a hit or miss. This place is a hit. I ordered a beef and vermicelli dish and it was fresh and the beef was marinated very well. I liked the extra peanuts on top for a crunch. The sauce was very good. It was very comforting to eat and fresh. I also ordered a crispy chicken noodle dish. It was so delicious the sauce is really tasty and everything is well seasoned. I can't wait to try more dishes from this place. Will be coming back soon.

Got some food to go for the family during COVID. Everything was good. The highlight of the day was the 3 color dessert drink. Haven't had it in years and it truly hit the spot...both in taste and in the feel good memories! Heard my favorite thing about the restaurant has been cut due to COVID. Here's to hoping it makes a come back (7 course beef)

I had this meal with my dad and he really enjoyed it. He is usually a picky eater and he even thought it was great value for money. The pho was decent quality with a variety of different meats and well packaged. The noodles portion was a bit on the small end as it was XL and cost $4 ontop of the smallest size. The shrimp rolls were large and were wrapped generously with shrimp and meat. This item is commonly smaller for the same price so I was very happy with it. The chicken wings were REALLY tasty with just a slight heat with the chilly flakes. Super crispy crust and well breaded. My dad told me we will be ordering from here again, so It has my seal of approval as well

    Large house special pho

Reason for Visit: Trying something nearby. Browsing through Yelp and saw this restaurant. Menu: Traditional Viet food. Nothing that stands out. Got their large house special pho to try. The soup was not too hot, but very flavorful and tasty. I will say, their large is LARGE as advertised. This can easily feed 2 people. Also, it only was $9.50 which is great value, especially in Vaughan where most other Viet places are over priced and not the best. I saw a lot of people try their fried noodles and spring rolls. So I will definitely give that a try next time. Service: Very busy restaurant, 2 waitresses so don't expect too much. Very nice and polite waitresses. Atmosphere: Simple, clean, lots of space to move around. Lots of table space for larger groups. Overall: Huge portions. This place is VALUE. So it is not surprising why this place is the busiest restaurant in the plaza. Good prices, huge portions, tasty, what is there not to like. T

If you are looking for a place for dinner after shopping at vaughan mills or a day at wonderland, Pho Mi Viet Thai is a good option! The restaurant has plenty of seatings but it does get very busy during dinner time. We got there around 7 on a Saturday night and the place was full. We were able to get seats after around 5 mins as two small tables have just left (we were a large group but ended up splitting for two small tables to avoid wait time). Good news is I believe they take reservation, so recommend to call ahead if you are have a big group. I ordered 511 (grilled chicken or pork + crab meat steam egg rice) $7.5. Both the portion and price is good. Food is delicious as well. However the wait time for food was a little longer than I expected (but then I'm comparing to super fast service at other Viet restaurant haha). My friend's soup pho came shortly after ordering, but those of us who ordered a rice dish had to wait another about 15-20 mins after his pho was served - which was a bit awkward. And lastly, on the menu it has a sticky that says the menu does not reflect the updated price, please ask your server. So you would not know the exact price of each dish unless you ask the server. But based on our experience, at most it was a $1 more than the menu listed price, so it wasn't too bad. Regardless, hopefully they update the menu soon for clarify. Overall I would come back again if Im in the neighborhood.

Pho Mi Viet Thai serves it's purpose as a Pho Joint that provides a satisfy meal at a decent price. Services though slow but we eventually got what we ordered. Special Pho Large ($7.50) is good for a meal for one or something to share with a friend as a snack. Broth is quite savoury and have star anise kick. Beef and noodle quite standard and both A-OK. Hot Vietnamese Coffee with condensed milk ($3.00) is just too strong and sweet for me. I don't really like to be too caffeinated and sugar high at the same time. Pho Mi though looks dated and a little sketchy.. remind me of the old days... 11/15

We just moved in to the area and felt like eating out after a long day of furniture assembly. Can't go wrong with Pho right ? Haha. I can eat this stuff all day. Came in here and ordered the special Pho size large for around 9 Bux. The service was quick and attentive and I was not disappointed at all with the portions and variety of beef. Also ordered the fried spring rolls in the end and man did I want more even though I just had a bowl of Pho. Honestly I was satisfied. The flavours weren't the best but still acceptable. The beef tastes a bit older than it should be so that's why I question the quality a little bit. I'm thinking of trying the beef brisket noodle next time though. Hopefully that'll be a 5 star experience

I've been here several times and while it's not a fancy place, it is good value for your money. It's one of those go to places when you want cheap eats that are far from the pizza, panino places in the vicinity. The pho is well done and they offer a large and varied menu featuring vietnamese, chinese, and thai options. Fresh garnishes accompany your pho and the small size can easily feed to people when coupled with an appetizer like their spring rolls. The table also has sauces to kick the flavors up in your dish. Take note though, they don't take credit only cash or debit. So next time, try this place and order the chicken pho with fresh spring rolls, and their chicken fried rice, your wallet will thank you!

It's good pho. It's cheap pho. It's fresh pho. It's just right. Seriously too much goes into reviewing a bowl of beef broth soup. The meat is tender and delicious. Not fatty. Broth is aromatic, fresh, and flavourful. A bowl costs $6.50, $7.50, or $8.50 for small, medium or large. Service is friendly and fairly fast. Lots of table options including salt pepper soy sauce hoisin and chillies. Again that dated age look is what you typically find with good places and this one is no exception. The dates tube tv and oak wood finishes everywhere is just a bonus.Would be happy to return if I was in the area. Lots of free parking and other places to try and eat as well in the same plaza. Can't go run parking in here. 4.5 out of 5.0 rounded up.

Food is always consistently good. Always hot and fresh. Service is pretty decent, they are always nice and friendly. I usually order T12 which is the Thai chicken coconut soup, which is delicious. Also order 802 which is a rice noodle with steamed vegetables and a choice of chicken or beef. Portions are huge and anything you don't finish can go home with you. I have been coming here for a few years and always enjoy the food. I will continue to come back. Decently priced and good for the family.

A couple of Wednesdays ago, after work, I had an early dinner at this Pho Anh Vu on Highway 7 in Vaughan, between Keele and Jane streets. I have passed by this eatery a number of times since it opened. It was time to check it out. This location used to be Veg Italiano. There used to be a pho place a few doors down. It is now a Turkish eatery. This small plaza does have some turnover. However, the Turkish place and this eatery have been here for at least a couple of years. I hope they remain. I got here at around 3:30 pm. I had no problem finding a parking spot. I backed into a vacant one and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a male staffer. I got to sit wherever I wanted. I chose a booth by the window. I got menus to peruse. There were two other tables with customers. It was nice. Hot tea came to me with two cups. The hot tea was exceptionally piping hot. I used both cups to pour tea into them and let them cool. I was ready to order. It took a long time to get a server to come over. The woman at the counter noticed that I was ready and flagged the male server to take my order. I got these items: - Soda lemonade - Grilled chicken on vermicelli with spring rolls My soda lemonade came first. It was fizzy, cold, and refreshing. I loved it so much. I would get it again in a heartbeat. It also helped me down my food as I waited for my hot tea to cool down. When my tea was finally at a temperature that wouldn't scorch my tongue, it was fragrant and yummy. I loved the grilled chicken. It was flavourful and grilled to perfection. The vermicelli was generous and yummy. The spring rolls were stuffed and crispy. This dish came with dipping sauce that I ended up pouring on everything. I feel that I needed more of it. I paid at the counter with a debit card. I tapped and was good. This eatery got busy after 4 pm. My guess is that everyone came to watch the Canada-Switzerland FIFA game. It got tense in the place. Eventually, Canada lost this game. I used the washroom before I left. It was beautiful and clean. It's a decent location that serves good food. The tea was too hot. Service started off slow, but was a lot better once my order was place. I'd love to return to try more items off the menu. (280)

Ever since I discovered the spicy Curry Brisket Pho ($20.95), it has always been my go-to dish here all year-round. We always order Pho Nam (XL $21.50) as well and both come loaded with a heaping portion of brisket slices in the piping hot noodle soup. From time-to-time, we also add the Banh Xeo savoury egg pancake which arrives on a huge plate even larger than the noodle bowls. Presented with a heap of greens & herbs, the crispy golden crepe is light and filled with bits of shrimp, pork, onions & bean sprouts. This is wrapped with the lettuce leaf for crunchy and refreshing bites. The menu prices have slowly but steadily increased over the past couple of years. There is still cash discount available. Not much has changed with the decor over the years in this spacious but dated restaurant interior. Service is always kind, fast and kid-friendly which is nice for young families. Skip it or hit it? My friend, Chris, suggested that we visit Vietnoms after a Yelp experience that made us crave something more. Luckily, it wasn't too far away. However, it was during rush hour on a Wednesday. We got here separately. This eatery is in a plaza that has a FreshCo anchoring it. The plaza has plenty of parking. I pulled into a spot and met up with Chris. This place has limited spots for dining inside. We had no problem grabbing a table. There is bar seating at the front. This place has a patio. However, it was too hot to sit outside, even with a large patio umbrella at each table. We were greeted and seated promptly. We got menus. This place has its regular menu and off-menu specials. Wow! I remember Crosstown BBQ had a collaboration with Vietnoms. Sadly, I missed it. Chris got these items: - Water - Banh mi dip My order consisted of these items: - Cold tea - Matcha lemonade - Rare beef and beef ball pho (small) I asked how large the large bowl of pho was. He pointed at a man's bowl. It was large, so I went small. The cold tea was refreshing. It came in a teapot. I loved it so much that I poured the remaining tea in my empty cup that once had my matcha lemonade. The drinks here are solid. I loved my matcha lemonade. There was no matcha powder grit in my drink. It was perfectly blended. The lemonade part had lemon preserve, which made it super yummy. I'd get this drink again in a heartbeat. My pho order was messed up. I spent a while trying to find beef balls. I realized that I had rare beef and beef brisket. It was also a large. Chris was the first to point out to our server that I didn't have any beef balls. I fished out the two types of proteins that were in my pho. He was apologetic and wanted to make things right. I frankly wasn't offended by this mistake. The proteins were yummy. The pho was excellent. Although it was a large, I was able to down it. The broth was delicious. Our server came over with a bowl of six beef balls and a lot of green onions in the broth. He apologized again. It was great that this place wanted to make everything right. For someone who wanted a small pho, I ended up with a massive meal. Thank goodness I didn't order an appetizer! I am a beef ball person. The beef balls hit the spot. The extra green onions made me so happy. I loved them. Chris enjoyed his banh mi dip. At first, he felt that the dip part was too salty. However, when we dipped his banh mi halves into it, the broth was fine. I need to get what he got next time. It looked incredible, especially the brisket in the baguette. I used the washroom before I left. It was compact and clean. No issues. We paid at the front counter. I paid with a credit card for both of us, as Chris had cash. I now have a running tab to pay him back. This place was awesome and a great suggestion. I suspect that dining here on a weekend would be difficult because it's such a small indoor dining area with limited seating. We came on a weeknight at nearly 6 pm and it was perfect. I'd return to get more good eats. It's an awesome addition to this plaza. (342)

Recently tried a couple new items on their off menu including the curry beef noodle (fried egg noodles on top), these crispy triangle shaped rolls (forgot the name) maybe pork and crap roll? Then followed up with something I've gotten before the dry chicken pho noodle salad. The curry beef with the crispy egg noodles reminds me of khao soi though there is less of a coconut flavour and more salty and savoury. I don't usually have curry Vietnamese style so I didn't know what to expect. But we found it a little too salty and also I personally prefer my curry a little sweeter like Japanese or coconut-ish like Thai or HK style curries. It's good, just not to our palate. It's a generous portion so we took it home and actually used the remaining curry broth to make a tasty stew with other ingredients and a touch of marinara sauce and it turned out really tasty! The crispy triangles rolls we had were fantastic and I like the side of fresh greens with it. Dry chicken pho noodle salad is always good. I like that they provide the broth of beef balls on the side so you can always enjoy it with the broth if you like. I think the extra broth with beef balls only happens for dine-in though because I have taken out that same dish before and I don't remember them including the extra broth on the side. The other time we also tried their shaking beef (comes with a fried egg on top) with rice and ordered the tapioca seafood and pork noodle soup - look through my later photos for reference. I don't think we'll order the shaking beef again but the tapioca noodle soup would be in rotation. Love that they are always experimenting with different dishes and I'm always excited to try something new here from their off-menu dishes.
