This place is off the hook, the calamari was cooked perfectly with the outer crust so tasty and delicious. The service was amazing very friendly and a down home atmosphere clean restaurant, but the best tasting PHO that I have had in a very long time and the homemade chili oil is sitting on the table. Went back to pho lotus a couple days after initial visit to get the pho and coffee again! This time I took pictures before. The food was very good! The side of grilled pork was delicious. Okay I waited a bit before I left this review becuase my first experience was not a good one. 1. The girl who helped me on OPENING day wasn't too friendly. She was Very small light complected dark hair bangs spilt in the middle also if I remember correctly. I didn't catch her name. Yes, Im going ask you a million questions because its a new restaurant, and rightfully so I have questions. It's your job to treat me fair and be helpful to me even if your impatient or whatever if you want my buisness. If you don't know the answer to my question don't just stare at me ASK SOMEONE. Thats what your coworkers are for. 2. They were out of chicken. Which was crazy to me because how were you not prepared? They were not prepared for opening 3. And then, MY ORDER WAS WRONG. So I had to go back on top of all of that. ( because I did take-out instead of dine in) and No, they didn't let me keep the spring rolls that they messed up on. Imagine if I waited until I got home to check my order. I live 40 min away. I would have had to go back. For snack sized spring rolls. Honerable mention that it was not busy at all when I ordered. And I ordered IN PERSON. Is this restaurant overpriced? Yes. Would I go back? Possibly, Let me tell you why. I have never been a fan of spring rolls, but when I tell you I took the best bite of a pork spring roll DRY no sauce. It was absolutely delicious! Kudos to the chef because the pork had a beautiful juicy char flavor and the spring roll veggies themselves didn't taste like dirt. It was soooo good! However, be prepared these are not the size spring rolls most Visalians are used to. I would say snack size spring rolls. Total robbery on the price when you see how light they are but like I said the pork spring roll was the best I've ever tasted. ( no pressure chef) The menu is very lite, and if you are a picky eater this might not be the place for you, or kids. I would hope to see this restaurant feel more ready if I decide to return. I ordered the P5. Phở Tái Bò Viên (Beef and meatballs) and an order of egg rolls and both were really good. The staff were really friendly as well. Will definitely be back. read more

This place is the old Mexican restaurant near Winco close to Sonic. When we arrived, staff were quick to greet us and ask if it was for here or to go, and then we were seated. Quickly our drink order was taken as soon as we sat down. The gals who helped us were so kind to us. As soon we ordered our pho, it came out within minutes. Our appetizer, the Vietnamese egg rolls took a bit longer, but that was no biggie. I tasted the broth before adding things to it, and it was so tasty! The rare steak pho was so good. To start off with some good the pho was amazing! Great flavor, great meat ratio, everything was just spot on. My husband got the chicken wings and they were so crispy and perfect. Shout out to the chef. Sadly though on my plate of veggies for the pho there was a dead fly. I sent it back and just simply asked for a new plate of veggies, but when it came back it seemed like they just took off the part that had the dead fly and left the rest on. They also weren't very apologetic about the bug on the plate they just took it and gave it back. This just kinda grossed me out but I still didn't make it a big deal. With our waitress I just felt that she didn't know much about the food nor how to answer certain questions I had about the menu. We also didn't get checked on the whole time we were sitting. She had just been in the corner on her phone. So to sum everything up food amazing, customer service not so much. read more

We've been searching for "our" Vietnamese restaurant since we moved here. We finally found it at Pho Lotus! We tried their crab Rangoon, egg rolls and Vermicelli with Grilled Pork. I have been in search for that perfect bowl of pho in Tulare County, and Pho Lotus does not disappoint. During my very first visit, I ordered springrolls with shrimp and pork (A2) and a regular size bowl of pho (P3). The bowl of pho was perfection: 1) the right ratio of broth to noodle, 2) beef broth with a precise mix of spices that create the authentic taste of Vietnamese pho, and 3) tasty and tender meat. It was served at the perfect temperature (hot enough to warm my belly but not too hot that it would burn my tongue). I was given a generous amount of bean sprouts, lime, basil and jalapeño to enhance the flavor of my food. I was surprised this place was not jam packed on a Friday evening, considering how delicious the food was. The restaurant was spacious and clean. I was too busy enjoying my food and did not pay much attention to the decor, so I cannot comment on it. Overall, I left feeling satisfied with the food, the service, and how quickly the food was served. I plan on returning soon to try the bun bo hue. read more

We ordered seafood pho, fried shrimp, crab Rangoon, and banhmi sandwich. Out of the 4 things we ordered I'm sorry to say the only thing we liked was the pork banhmi. The seafood pho the shrimp was way over cooked, the crab Rangoon was ok but could have been better ( nothing special) and the fried shrimp were really small and seemed raw. Honestly I wanted to support a new place opening especially a pho spot but I am so incredibly disappointed. First of all they advertised free drinks on a huge banner outside, just to be told that "that special ended already" when we ordered drinks, okay that's fine we just got waters instead. Then I saw the menu and the prices and was shook, I ended up ordering a Vietnamese sandwich. The sandwich came dry as heck, I asked for extra pate for the sandwich and they said they don't have any. What makes a Vietnamese sandwich is the pate itself?? So it's missing the main ingredient. Then ordered crab rangoons, literally just imitation crab stuffed into an eggroll wrap. No cream cheese stuffing or flavor. The pho my husband ordered was was watery. The only good thing was the amount of meat it came with. We really wanted to like it here but the false advertisement was the most disappointing. read more

Had bánh mì couple of week ago and it was not good. They did not toast the bread so it was chewy. It looks like the bread was from Winco or R N. Very disappointed!! I would not get bánh mì from there again. read more
