I'm not understating why there's Low Ratings for this spot!? Tahoe Joe's has been great Every time we went?? FOOD: --We got the 2/$78 special they have going on! Appetizers, 2 Meal/ A side & Soup or salad, &Dessert! --Bread rolls at seating... (they were busy and I had to ask for the bread, but I didn't mind lol was just curious if they still offered it) OUR PICKS 1 APPETIZER: Crab cakes, some of the best we've had 2 MEALS we ordered-- with a side & soup or salad) + A Dessert (Pie) I got, Prime Rib with a dipping sauce, vegetable rice pilaf + clam chowder were both good as well! The chowder could have been heated a little more.. I like Mine like it just came out the pot , so preference. Husband got, Joes Steak with Mountain Mashers (potatoes ) + Green Beans + side Cesar salad.. All so good together. BOTH STEAKS WERE SO FLAVORFUL! Dessert (Get the Lemon Supreme) yummm And my husband also got a Free cheesecake for his BIRTHDAY.. that also came with a candle & an amazing quote from a Great Server! We got the cheesecake 2GO, but it didn't make it in our 2GO bag. yummm All was great for us folks! We had no complaints about the food. **if I had any complaint at all.. it would be that it was a little chilly I forgot a jacket, so *Ladies.. Bring a light sweater /jacket!** -- & If you don't like something folks, SPEAK UP.. it's a Steak House.. you're paying $$ for a good meal.. most places will be happy to fix it if they can!-- Big Thank You to our sweet waitress (Ashley G) for another great experience at Tahoe Joes! Can't wait to come back!

Ordered their thanksgiving meal for the first time and it did NOT disappoint!! A week later and we are still finishing it!! The most surprising and exciting thing was their cranberry sauce was fresh whole cranberries with orange zest!! I'm the only one that likes cranberry sauce and I have put it on everything from stuffing to chicken pineapple pizza from dominos!! The manager Deneka (sorry of spelled wrong) was amazing and compassionate during the ordering process and pickup. Food was fantastic and a bargain. Military discount as well!!

I wish there were a way to post 2 separate ratings one for food and one for service. All week I was looking forward to celebrating my retirement at Tahoe Joe's, so I was a little frustrated when it did not live up to expectations. That food did not disappoint. I give the food a 10/10. My steak was cooked to perfection the sides were perfectly seasoned. If I do eat here again, I'll order out. My waitress was friendly hence the 2 stars, but I had to ask for the brunch menu, I had to ask someone to take my order because my waitress was busy talking to coworkers. She did check on me once after my food was delivered but someone else refilled my drink for me. I thought of timing her to see how much time she spent chatting but figured that was a bit excessive and to just note it in my review. Update: gave it a second chance: I had the potato soup which was very creamy and had few actual potato chunks in it. The onion straws were the best part of the meal. Crisp and served with horseradish and bbq sauce. My pasta had no flavor to it just aldente pasta. I took it home and added Alfredo sauce. The artichoke chunks were bite size but only 2 of them in the whole dish. The chicken was cooked thoroughly but again no flavor. What a disappointment again!

The mac and cheese has been consistently watery and lacking flavor each time I've tried it. The steaks don't seem seasoned at all simple salt and pepper would make a world of difference. After writing the place off, TikTok convinced me to give it another shot because people were raving about the pork chops. That was a mistake. I've never had meat that dry. It felt like chewing sawdust, and my jaw was done after two pieces. I took the rest home for the dog. It's frustrating because I truly respect how much gratitude this business shows toward veterans, but with how expensive the bill was, the food should be prepared far better. On the positive side, our waitress was friendly and attentive. However, if you plan on having a couple of beers, order two at once they won't arrive until your food is about to hit the table. Overall, I'm saddened that the food is subpar, especially given the potential this place has and the values it stands behind.

I ordered the French Dip, which should be a slam dunk for a pub-style spot, but it lacked the basic execution that makes that sandwich great. The Main Event: French Dip * The Bread: This was the biggest disappointment. It wasn't toasted, grilled, or even brushed with a little butter. It felt like an afterthought, leaving the texture of the sandwich completely uninspired. * The Meat: The tri-tip was sliced thin and seemed okay, though it had that "pre-cooked this morning" vibe rather than being fresh off the block. * The Au Jus: A French Dip lives and dies by the dip. Unfortunately, this was essentially bland beef broth--watery and lacking any deep, salty, or beefy complexity. The Silver Lining The meal wasn't a total wash, thanks to the sides. The fries arrived piping hot, crispy, and seasoned well. Paired with a side of their ranch, they were easily the best part of the plate. Final Verdict: If you're going for the atmosphere and a cold beer, it's a win. But if you're craving a high-quality sandwich, you might want to look elsewhere until they step up their bread game.

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and grabbed seats at the bar. Sam was our server and was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on. The food absolutely did not disappoint. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Taco Salad, and it was enormous! The tortilla shell was so crispy and well-made that it actually held up for leftovers the next day. The jalapeño ranch had the perfect amount of heat and flavor. We also tried the Drunken Chicken Sandwich. Sam recommended getting it breaded, and I'm glad we listened. The homemade breadcrumb coating was light, crispy, and flavorful without being overly thick or salty. For appetizers, we shared the Fried Pork Belly Bites, which were paired with a delicious coleslaw and a sweet Korean-style BBQ sauce, and the Deviled Eggs, which were AMAZING. They came prepared three different ways, making it fun to try each variation. Honestly, I couldn't pick a favorite. Their beer selection was impressive, and I was especially excited to find Crow & Wolf's Dark Wolf Seltzer on tap, one of my favorites and not something you see everywhere. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of character. Even the ladies' restroom had quirky, fun artwork that added a unique touch to the atmosphere. The size and amount of tv's was impressive. If you're looking for a relaxed vibe, great drinks, exceptional service, and food that delivers, I highly recommend checking this place out. So having a massive jar of soda already right in front of me? Huge win. Now, moving on to the slightly traumatizing part: they did not bring out bread to the table. Excuse me? I'm sorry, but if I am sitting down for Italian, table bread is not an optional courtesy--it is a fundamental human right. And it became an even bigger issue when my fettuccine arrived, because the portion size was... let's just say aggressively small for a dinner entree. I was expecting a meal, not a decorative sample. However... it was infuriatingly good. They make their own pasta fresh in-house, and the texture was honestly undeniable. My husband ordered the Margherita pizza, and he literally declared--with complete, uncharacteristic enthusiasm--that it was hands-down the best Margherita pizza he has ever gotten. So, massive points there. What was not a massive point, however, was the subterranean seating situation. We were escorted downstairs into the basement, which was pitch black. But more importantly: the stairs are completely unlit. I'm sorry, but they are actively asking to get sued. It is a litigious nightmare waiting to happen. Someone is going to take one wrong step in the dark, tumble down that staircase, and own the entire restaurant by next Tuesday. They are practically begging for a lawsuit. That being said... despite the pitch-black staircase of death and the tragic lack of dinner rolls, overall? I really liked it. The food completely won me over, and I would definitely go back. I will just be bringing a flashlight and my own emergency focaccia next time.
