The staff here are super friendly and helpful they've answered every one of my questions and got the food out fairly quick. While dining in today I noticed an interaction between the staff and an ungrateful customer. The cashier and what seemed to be the manager were dealing with an attitude rotten customer that was impatient and completely rude. The well mannered staff handled it patiently and kindly while this women was completely out of line. The woman was complaining about wait times when they've haven't even waited for a full 10 minutes. Pho-Licious, thank you for being practically walking distance from my 1st SoCal home (even though I drove to you all the time). You were good, decently priced, no wait times, and so close to me. This place is a small mom and pop restaurant but their bowls of pho here satisfy my tummy all the time! I usually order the rare steak with brisket as my to go to order but if I'm feeling adventurous I would get the filet mignon or the Wagyu :) They also have other dishes on their menu as well! A family staple for years. I crave pho every week, and Pho-Lucius always hits the freaking spot. I'm always in it for the BROTH. It's very easy to tell that they brewed the hell out of the beef bones as it's super flavorful! Definitely a hint sweeter than I would prefer, but the soup is always so so clear. This place is definitely on the pricier side, but you are getting soooo much food! I always tend to skip dinner after eating one bowl of pho from here. I love their packaging for takeout as well! With covid, it feels unsafe to come out, so thank you to Pho-Lucius employees for working extra hard to ensure our safety. They separate the soup and noodles. I got takeout here 5 times in the last 6 months, and only once did I need to reboil the soup when I got home! Everything is easy to pour out of and the soup usually cooks the meat perfectly! This is my go-to takeout spot when my daughter and I are craving soup. It's close enough to call, pick up, and come back home with the food still being hot. Service has always been kind and quick. Got introduced to this pho place while I'm hanging around the area. It's during lunch time so due to time limited, I was only ordered the pho House Special with no onions. The place is small and I was glad that I got in before the crowd, big group of people. Got seated right away and quickly went through the menu, and decided to try a bowl of pho today. I ordered a bowl of House Special Pho without onions, just cilantros. Also called for steam bean sprouts, just because I don't like the smell of the raw bean sprouts. The ordered got brought out, I was surprised about the bowl size and the amount of meats with noodle in the bowl. It was decently generous with a lot of noodles and a lot of meats and totally satisfied with the value. I always thought it would be a small bowl with a bunch of noodles and a couple pieces of meat like other places I had experienced. It's a worth to eat bowl of pho around this area. Best pho place in the 626 area! Now I know that may be a stretch because there are many pho spots here, but this is by far my family's favorite pho restaurant. The menu has changed a few times. From the old menu, I would often get the Kobe pho (now discontinued). The Kobe meat was on the slightly firmer side. On the new menu, I tried "pho brisket" and I can say this is my new favorite! The brisket was sooo tender and delicious, more than the Kobe in my opinion. When I'm not feeling meat, I sometimes switch it up to the veggie pho. However, I always request for the beef broth instead of veggie broth. They've only misunderstood my request one time out of the many many times I've ordered this. The beef broth has all the flavor and depth to it, whereas the veggie broth is much lighter, of course. The veggie pho comes with A LOT of pre-cooked bok choy, carrot slices, and broccoli. It is very filling and makes you feel healthier lol. The grilled pork lemongrass banh mi is so yummy! It's just the standard sandwich but is a good staple when I'm not feeling pho. I've also had the vermicelli, fried rice, and salad. Because I ate it so long ago, I can't remember much in detail but I do remember all of them being really good. The Thai tea is also so good here! It is probably my second favorite place to get Thai tea aside from President Thai. I prefer the Thai tea here over boba stores. The only downside I will say is that Pholicious has been doing takeout only since the start of the pandemic. I just take the pho home and re-cook the broth in a pot and it is still delicious! For some reason, there aren't many Vietnamese places around this area. Thankfully we have Pholicious, which is a great all-around Vietnamese restaurant with good rice and noodle dishes, rolls, and pho (have yet to try their banh mis). I want to speak particularly about the pho--I've probably had better in terms of broth BUT the portion size here is soooo good and overall really hits the spot without breaking the bank like Golden Deli. Like, I always feel like I finish the noodles before the beef because there's so much of it! Same thing with the spring rolls. They're practically bursting at the seams! Can't compare this restaurant to what they have out in Garden Grove/OC area. Ordered N2, "Special Pho" with brisket, rare beef, beef ball, tendon and tripe and was disappointed. Noodles were soggy, tripe very little and the tendon was pretty much the fat surrounding the tendons (just a slither of actual tendon). Broth was decent, nothing out of the ordinary. Can't say I'd come back :( PS Mask required to enter, also you if you eat outside like I did you have to pay for your food first. Makes me think if something was wrong with your food it's a bit of a nuisance to get credited back. read more

Friendly staff and great service. Was able to get a seat right away. Only down side is that there is no parking because this place is in a small complex so you have to come early to get a good spot. Otherwise you will have to park on the streets. Many options to choose from. There's the traditional pho soup as well as bun vermicelli noodles. My friends likes to get their shrimp fried rice and it's always a big portion. Funny thing about this place is that they only have one size pho. At other places in Westminster they have S,M,and L. Here it is only one size. But the good thing is it's a pretty decent bowl of pho. I tend to taste the broth by itself before adding lime juice, basil, and sprouts as those tend to dilute the broth flavor. I tend to just flavor with these ingredients. However I've seen others add chili sauce and sweet sauce which makes their soup reddish and murky colored. Everyone has a different preference but I prefer simplicity. One of my favorite pho spots in SGV and in my opinion the best in Arcadia. The broth is super flavorful and the meats are always tender. Service is great and their take out orders are arranged nicely. Lots of street parking and there's shared plaza parking. Never ate inside but I have in their patio. We had a great experience here! We just bought a house in town so we're trying out various restaurants and decided to give Pho-Licious a shot. It was 30 minutes until closing and they ran out of rice, but we appreciate them seating us anyway! Also, it's great that they actually run out of rice -- it means they cook it fresh daily. We have had bad experiences with restaurants serving day-old white rice! You think you can pull that off in an Asian neighborhood?! Anyway, I ordered the filet mignon pho and my husband ordered the vermicelli pork bowl. Both were great. While they are slightly pricier than other pho joints in the SGV, the food and customer service merits the cost. We will be returning! Just glad there's a pho place around the corner. :) read more

Honestly one of my favorite Pho restaurants. I ordered this during the rain and let me tell you, pho in cold weather is just perfect. I ordered the House Special Pho while my friend ordered a Rare Steak Filet Mignon Pho; both came with a good amount of basil, bean sprouts -- all the spices/add-ins to put into pho. The Pho was full of flavor. The noodles were just right and was not too hard nor soft. This place is is okay. I've definitely had better pho places, but I had worse as well. I'm still looking for my favorite pho place in the area, so this was my first place. I had my order to go. 1. They don't have tendon or tripe. This may be false thinking, but it gives me the impression that it's not as authentic or maybe catered to non-asians since they don't have tendon or tripe, which were my two favorite things 2. Not a lot of meat. They DID however give my meat raw, so I can let it cook in the broth, which was nice. 3. The broth was decent, not the ultimate best, but in my opinion it was pretty good. I'm not vietnamese so I don't know how to really judge. 4. I like that they gave me a lot of onion and cilantro to go, they even gave me some sauce and the bean sprouts and basil 5. I asked for no noodles, and add an order of veggies, which came steamed so I can put in the bowl afterwards. No confusion, which I liked. I am keto, so I don't eat noodles, but put in my own shiritaki ones at home. It was good together. Overall, the taste is there, but I wish they had tendon and tripe and more meat. You're given some pickled veggies, peppers, and cilantro. They also have the vegetarian broth pho with a few different vegetarian friendly topping options. Vegetables, tofu, etc. The soup is a tad heavy on the msg imo. If you're okay with green onions, scallions, someone recommended a side dish of fried tofu. read more

Found this place while driving on the 10 to Pasadena. It was 108 degrees outside and this cozy, tiny, little place with lotsa glass walls was doing everything they could to keep the temperature down. I ordered an iced Vietnamese coffee which disappeared quickly because it wasn't too sweet. Our waitress was attentive with iced tea refills and iced water. The thermometer said it was 93 degrees inside. You could feel the heat radiating off the glass. Thank goodness we were seated under the air conditioner. The iced tea is served in a cute mason jar like mug with a handle. Their shrimp spring rolls are fresh & perfect. The pork baguette was typical and the Chicken salad was moist and refreshing. Saw a lot of people running in picking up to go orders. Looking forward to the next time we return when it's not so hot out so we can order some Pho. read more

My friend took me here for dinner and this is quite a cozy and modest looking restaurant. We decided to order the spring rolls, which were decent. The flavor of the spring rolls were good, however I just know that I've had better elsewhere - but still, not bad to try. As for the entrees, we opted for the same beef ball pho noodles. Pho-Licious is located on the northwest corner of E. Live Oak Avenue and S. 6th Avenue in Arcadia. (6th Ave becomes Hempstead Ave south of Live Oak Ave.) The small plaza does have a parking lot with about 35 parking spaces. I've been here twice with some friends from work. I've tried the Vegetable Pho with Chicken broth ($7.00) and the Rare Steak Filet Mignon Pho ($8.50) so far. The only thing that I'm kind of bummed about is that they only have one size bowl of pho. (At other places, there's usually "Regular" or "Large"). The size here is too big for me and I can never finish it all myself. The prices run from $7.00-$9.50 for a bowl of pho. Anytime you have pho, the first thing you need to do is just taste the broth by itself. That's how you can judge if it's any good or not. If it's pretty bland, then that's when you start adding more toppings, sauce, lime juice etc. in it. The broth here is actually very flavorful and doesn't really need anything added to it. I was here yesterday during lunch and the filet mignon cuts are actually on the thicker side and super tender. I've also tried the Crispy Egg Rolls (4 pcs $6.00) and the BBQ Pork Spring Rolls (2 pcs $4.50). Both of those are delicious. Since it was raining yesterday, A LOT of people decided to dine here for lunch. They have a clip board in the front for you to sign in and there isn't a lot of space to wait inside. Luckily for us, we were seated right away, but after a few minutes, a crowd of people started to build outside.
