The menu mainly consists of noodle type dishes; my Mi Hoanh was okay; not quite like what I had in Vietnam and the flavor was slightly bland. Their milk teas are subpar; I think it's just soymilk + artificial flavor. They don't taste like what you expect out of a boba milk tea. The interior is a bit cold and casual. Overall, it's okay. I ordered a wonton noodle soup with bbq pork and was surprised by how similar it tasted to comparable restaurants in Bellaire. The soup was solid, plenty of wontons and pork, and a generous serving of noodles. Good choices for toppings and sauces on the side. My friend's pho noodles were a bit undercooked unfortunately. I saw the menu on Yelp prior to arriving, so i knew what i wanted. I ordered the, Hu Tieu Do Bien - Seafood Noodle Soup, To-Go Order. In the Bag - Bean Sprout, sliced Jalapeño, lime, and Basil leaves. In the Bowl - Noodle, 2 Shrimp, fish balls cut in half, imitation crap cut into chunks, cilantro, green onion, thinly sliced white onion, and fried/crispy onion. Chili sauce and 2 packets of Hoisin Sauce on the side. The bowl was very good. This was also my 2nd time eating Pho. So i enjoyed it very much. It was enough to feed both me and my partner. Nut allergy friendly: They do have a peanut sauce served with the spring rolls. I'd also be careful with the chili sauce. Otherwise, pho is totally safe. I ordered this as a late night option and was so surprised by how good it was that I took two more friends the next day to confirm. Lo and behold, this might be one of the best pho spots inside the Loop, and definitely the best late night weekend option! Warning: Taking the pho to go, you are EXPECTED to boil the broth when you get home. This is how you cook the thin raw meat and the slightly uncooked noodles. I actually really respect that they give you slightly firm noodles with this expectation. Do not believe the reviews that say that the noodles are undercooked. The pho broth here is very flavorful and rich, though slightly oily. Meat is sliced thinly and all meet expectations in tenderness. I'd say the brisket gets a little tough, but isn't bad at all. Which makes sense for the area it's located in. You'll need to order at the register first, pay and then have a seat. They'll bring out the food for you. I very much enjoyed my pho! I like the a la carte options that you can add. I selected quail eggs and shrimp balls in addition to the fatty brisket and meatballs. Yummms. I didn't care for the fried dumplings. I'm pretty married to my neighborhood pho place, but I was in the area and really wanted some good noods. Pho King definitely delivered on that! Their large was no joke--plenty of noodles and meats to satisfy. The broth was perfect. Adding quail eggs made for a nice tang and texture I had never tried before. Their fried veggie dumplings were a little on the bland side, but the chili dipping sauce made up for it. I appreciate that the menu was pretty focused (pho-cused? heh) on the noods, a small list of appetizers, and a pretty robust drink menu. Saw this place was new and wanted to swing by to check them out. It's located in a shopping strip so parking is easy. You order and pay at the register and they bring your food out to your table. I decided to get an order of the egg rolls and a small bowl of the bun suong. An order of eggrolls came with 2 pieces and they were hot and crispy. The bun suong base is pork and chicken broth with pork slices, shrimp balls and shrimp. The shrimp balls were my favorite. The broth was light-I do wish it was a bit more flavorful or I could have added some chili oil if they had any. I'd like to come back and try their pho. Employees were very nice. read more

Came here yesterday evening with my husband. We were wanting pho but usually every pho place closes super early. They're one of the only places in houston open late night !! They were open until 1am, and so happy we finally tried it! It is an order at the register place so technically there's not really any "servers" but I will say the staff was super nice! We ordered the mini egg rolls and the sauce that came with it was DELICIOUS!!! We also ordered the spring rolls they came with shrimp & beef. I just wanted shrimp but for whatever reason they don't only make it with one so that was a bummer but they were still yummy!!! We also ordered a chicken pho & beef and they hit the spot for sure. This definitely will be a new late night spot on the weekends when we are craving pho. It is a little pricy because of the area I'm sure but the good service, nice staff, and yummy food made it worth it! Disclaimer: we ordered take out close to closing, so maybe this had to do with our experience. I was so looking forward to trying this place! My husband and I both got pho (he got chicken, I got filet mignon), and the broth was so fatty, I couldn't even eat mine. I tried the chicken broth as well, and same thing, the entire top layer was just fat. I even tried to strain the fat, but the flavor had permeated the entire meal. The one redemption- their egg rolls were excellent! I don't leave reviews normally, but would like the staff to be aware of this issue in future cases.
