The owner was super nice. After I ordered pho he started saying, "we're not about the bean sprouts here. We're about the broth." Sweet. I raved about the broth in the last Pho review I did. I didn't get the chance to even see the bean sprouts, as they were covered with the gnarliest basil I've ever been served. I pulled better basil from my garden a few weeks ago after the season ended. "We didn't get our shipment" isn't an excuse to serve that. "We're out of basil" is a much better position than serving decaying basil. Can't tell you how the pho is. If that's what they serve to your face, I'm seriously concerned about what's going on behind the scenes. Loved the food and the service was phenomenal. We ordered the pork spring rolls and fish sauce wings. Both were delightful, crunchy and rich in Asian flavors. I hoped the peanut sauce would have been a bit thicker but it still hit the spot in flavortown. My husband ordered a chicken teriyaki plate and I ordered a crispy pan crepe full of steak and shrimp pieces. The cook showed me best how to cut it and enjoy. It was HUgE! Easily shareable. It paired best with the homemade lemongrass crispy spicy sauce. That sauce is one of a kind, sitting on each table. In fact, I'd love to buy that to take home. First time coming to this place. I didn't take pictures of the food. Probably have to do it next time. I was too eager to eat. The restaurant is very spacious and clean. You couldn't get anymore authentic than this. The broth is very tasty. You can tell the chef didn't cut corners. The owners are very friendly and open to ideas. I had the yellow noodles beef stew. The beef is tender and the noodles are bouncing inside your mouth. The menu has plenty of choices. We will definitely go back for more shortly. read more

We continue to explore local restaurants and businesses in Maple Valley and came across Pho In & Out this evening. Several of us have been dealing with winter colds and pho is the best cure! We were greeted by Ken, the owner. He was personable and inviting and his pride of ownership really came through. We tried beef and brisket pho and a beef stew with noodles. They absolutely nailed the broth. Slow cooked and flavorful, the servings were generous and delicious. The stew was packed with flavor and the beef was cooked to tender. Great location (right next to QFC) and plenty of parking. I highly recommend Pho In & Out! read more

Literally the best pho I have had in a long time. The dude works with his wife so it's run by two people but the food is so good. I always get steak pho and it never goes wrong. The service is top tier, he is genuinely the nicest dude in the world. He is always smiling and making my day. The layout of the whole place is amzing too. If you want to try a pho place try pho in & out. He doesn't have the most customers but the taste and the service does not reflect that at all. He deserves to have that place packed. Very cute, kinda hidden away pho place here in maple valley. The menu was very extensive and looked very tasty. I ordered rare beef pho (Pho Tai) and it was delicious. It came with all the fixinin's. The broth was SOO FLAVORFUL. The only reason I knocked this place down a star was it was slllooooowwwww. I ordered 1 bowl of soup and it took 15 mins just to get that to me. Which in the world of pho, is slow. They appeared to be understaffed. It was also on the more expensive side for soup. It was $16 for a small bowl of pho, but it was worth it. For a good bowl of pho, I would say a good broth is essential. The broth was not rich, had very little beef flavor, and was just not good. Coupled with old lemon, brisket, beef balls... It just didn't seem fresh and was not very good. It felt like leftovers from the week. Noodles were also overcooked. Portions don't seem like most other pho places, and felt rather small. The pork summer rolls were decent. The peanut sauce that went with it was atrocious... Seriously bad, with no peanut flavor to speak of. Last kicker. The prices on the menu was not what was charged. Such good food and the service is excellent. I struggle with having Pho, Teriyaki, or Thai because I usually get a headache after eating. But, this restaurant has won a Super Best Award from me. A delayed review, but we visited several weeks ago. Not only was the food delicious, but the service is incredible. The owner is so friendly and will take time to get to know you whether you are picking up or dining in. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here and will be back! We also dined with our toddler and they were willing to make her food that she would enjoy (in this case, rice and vegetables). There are plenty of tables and TVs. First time ordering out from here. The service was great and store was clean. I had the banh xeo which was super stuffed. The meat tasted like lemongrass pork which is extra since usually I'm used to just ground pork meat. It comes with pickled veggies, iceberg lettuce, cilantro, and basil. Wish there was mustard greens but understandable since it's an acquired taste. The fish sauce wings tasted great. Sweet and savory. It was for the most part, crispy and thankfully not flubbery. Hello! I'm gonna say this... who the HELL charges $10 for TWO FREAKIN SPRING ROLLS!!!! Not only that... I got a "pick your own meat" for the rice plate and got 3 meats and added an extra egg... it came out to almost $24 for that plate alone!!!! My colleague and I had one plate each and one order of the spring rolls... it came out to around $80ish. Not worth it AT ALL!!!!! Albeit the owner messed up by adding and extra egg by accident (which is $4.50 each egg!!!!! Wtf?!?!), he discounted one of the eggs. But still... bland soup, the spring rolls weren't that great... just a bad experience. Nice dude, the owner was, though. So kudos to him. read more

PHO IN AND OUT IS DECENT! Overpriced lowkey, and my wifeys Tofu pho had no tofu. Service was expedient but then not for paying the bill. Sad vietnamese pop music played and affected my mood and mental stability. I had the brisket pho and had no qualms with it, quite a delectable meal, BUT not as good as pho binh minh. Over priced and probably the worst Vietnamese food I've had. Pho binh Minh was closed so this was the next closest option. Wish I had just got something else. Got 3 plates, 2 vermicelli and 1 rice, which was 60 dollars! Meat was over cooked and there was barely any food in there. That's not even the worst part. Half way through I found 2 different hairs in my food! My hair was pulled back so I know for sure it wasn't mine and they were very long :( definitely not going back again!
