The addition of Bao Box inside Glow Tea makes me so excited! It's so hard to find good dumplings in this area. These do not disappoint. I especially love the spicy dumplings. They are steamed to the right temperature and the chili oil on top is phenomenal with the right amount of crunch. Not too spicy at all. It was about a 10 minute wait before my order was ready. Very reasonable amount of time to wait. The food was still steamy and hot when I got home 15min later because they were packaged wonderfully. The containers trap in the heat to keep the little dumplings hot and fresh. You can tell they were packaged with care. You also get chop sticks, napkins and sauces in a cute to-go bag. The larger pork dumplings are delicious all on their own without the sweet n sour sauce on the side. Each order is about $8-$10. I was quite satisfied after devouring the spicy dumplings and half of the pork ones. I will definitely be back. read more

Stopped by to give it a try. Place is super clean inside. Glad a new boba place is open in my area and something different from Starbucks to sip on while I shop. I ordered the lava which was actually amazing. My only mistake was getting the tapioca balls(which I paid extra for) they weren't cooked enough and were extremely chewy. And some of them were so undercooked that they were actually dry inside. Taste of the actual smoothie was pretty good but the tapioca balls completely ruined the experience for me. Dan dan noodles: I've never not liked noodles until this. It was nasty. Boba waffle: Basic boba waffle, was cooked more and dry but must be taken out late. Overall, I like the drinks here. They do a good job, and mistakes are rare. The reason for the 2 stars is the music. The other day I was there with my daughter, and the playlist consisted of explicit hip hop. Now don't get me wrong, I like hip hop, but having my daughter hear the word f*cker, motherf*cker, and the N word more than two dozen times wasn't cool. Not exaggerating, after I while I started to count and there were other families with kids in the shop. The next song was about "this N word" telling a girl he was going to split her like a watermelon, and eat her and then I didn't pay attention to the rest because I had to try to explain to my 9yr old when she asked me why he was splitting someone like a watermelon. This is not unusual, the music at this location is often explicit and when my wife is with me I have her wait in the car with my daughter. For first impressions: I visited on March 22, they had a wall of Christmas decorations up which is quite odd as it's nearly spring. One would expect for a "soft grand opening" it would be more inviting and appealing, but it was not. With several other boba places nearby, they have a lot of competition and I surely don't feel like I'm missing anything if I didn't go back. Boba was mediocre, didn't taste fresh. I decided to give the Glow Tea location another chance. So I decided to stand in line to try to be the first 50 people to get free boba tea for a year. I got there at the time stated. I guess I ended up being number 70! I still got my BOGO and a bubble waffle. With tip I spent about 13.00 Reason why I lowered the stars was not because I waited in line for over an hour, and didn't get my free boba for a year. It's because the drinks were still watered down, and although the young lady thanked me for being patient in waiting so long for my bubble waffle, it came out overcooked. I've had bubble waffles for years at different boba tea places in different states and Canada. Never had overcooked ones. The good thing is their batter is tasty so I'll give them that. The first time I went during the soft opening, today was the grand opening. The husband and wife owners were working hard in the back with three of their crew, and the district manager was out front having us in line spin the wheel to win a prize. It was nice to see the community put in full force for the grand opening. I hope this mom and pop survives. Soft opening right now. The drink is simple and tasty. If you buy the glow cup, your refills are definitely good deal. They are still training people. Made a mistake on my drinks and forgot to put the fruits inside but the young lady corrected the mistake next time I stopped by. The bubble waffle is my childhood snacks. It is not the exact same kind but not bad. I would definitely go back for refills. Interesting ordering system. You make your order yourself and pay on the tablet, and then it prints out your order ticket, which you then have to make sure the workers get so that they can start making your drinks. However, it wasn't very apparent that you had to do that (no signs or instructions or anything), and no one was around until they came out with another customer's drinks, so I ended up waiting for nothing for a bit. However, once they did let me know and I handed over my ticket, they made our drinks pretty quickly. Another thing about ordering is that there aren't any options to change your ice or sweetness level, so I ended up having to write it out in the comments section for each drink. Kinda tedious. As for our drinks, I got the classic milk tea with boba, my usual order when I'm testing the waters of a new place. It was...okay. Reminded me of chocolate milk and it was a bit on the creamy side. Quite sweet as well. The boba was soft on the outside, but a little hard in the center. Overall, would not get this drink again seeing as how I did not finish mine. My siblings said the strawberry black tea was good though, but the strawberry bits were a little too big to suck through the straw. I like that if you get the bulb cups, which are like +$5 to your drink cost, you can bring back for a $2.95 refill. Sounds worth it for returning customers. I will likely return to try their other drinks, and their bubble waffles as well. I knew about this place from the auburn mall and was super happy to see their soft opening when I went to Fred Meyer. Their brown sugar milk tea is so addicting and reminds me of awesome cereal milk. Saw that they had a soft opening so we went to try it out. The drinks were pretty good and upgrading the cups to a bulb will definitely be a fun ride with a $3 refill. For the refill you will have to talk to one of the cashiers to help but other than that it seems like it was a self-select menu ordering system. Glow tea opened up/soft opening. We got their peach blk tea. Strawberry blk tea. Regular milk tea with boba. Some lava something (has blended mango and strawberry syrup) It's aight. I wouldn't go back. It being soft opening, there wasn't any deals nor discount. You have to an extra 4.95 or 4.99 or something for their light bulb container which on the menu it's falsely advertised because the tea drinks shows it in the light bulb containers. Not going to pay another $5 on top just for a container... So the blk teas were blah nothing good however, I would have to say it's semi strong so that's a plus. There are fruit bits to it but mediocre. The peach chunk tasted like the peach from a can, by all means, those are good but wasn't what I expected. The milk tea was weird, had a creamy texture to it like condense milk creaminess.. wasn't expecting that. A little more on the pricey side if you order there light bulb cups 2 teas ended up being 25$ before tax and that's without a tip even though they were advertised for about 8$ each the tea was still pretty good and the cup lights up and with purchase they offer cheaper refills of said tea so if you drink it a lot it's worth it but I'll have to pass for the time being read more

The absolute worst experience I've ever walked into. The staff was extremely cold and not friendly, this actually matched the ambiance. You could feel the coldness the second they walks in. Okay so I love GlowTea, however the Covington location leaves me dumbfounded. They never fail to run out of tapioca (boba), every time I come here they are always running out if regular milk or something else (in the early afternoon) many occasions I've left with a something else because once they poured one drink they realized they were out and just top it off with so much ice, that's not even what I'm necessarily most irritated about, I ordered a bubble waffle and watched the employee handle it with their BARE hands and no gloves. This is extremely unsettling specially knowing the Auburn location more up kept than the Covington location, and their soft opening or Boa Buns. They are delicious however, waiting for 20 minutes for 6 of the I can drive down to Lucky House in Kent. GlowTea employees are sweet and helpful and I understand they are doing the best they can with what they can, but handing food without gloves is a big no and management needs to be more up kept with making sure the employees have what they need to not "run out" of supplies and upkeep inventory. read more

Came here during the soft opening and tried two of their drinks; taro, and I think a brown sugar milk. Ordering takes place via kiosk with an employee guiding you through (for the time being I guess). Also, if you come in the evening; the storefront and lobby becomes a super bright oven as the sun sets. The drinks were run of the mill for a boba place with the usual sweetness and flavor. Boba needs some work as mine was bland and bunched up into a giant ball of goop. I got the little light bulb cup for future refills (I didn't know they light up with the included LED pod on the bottom) so I'll be back when they're fully open as I live close by. read more

Best Thai tea around!! I'm not usually a fan of the tapioca balls but theirs is delicious!! They have these really cute cups in the shape of a light bulb that lights up! It is a little pricey but you get $3 refills if you keep it. They have an order screen in the lobby where you can order and pay and your drink comes right up! Love this place! read more

Terrible customer service. I went in this past Saturday to try a drink there since I normally go to Bobalust anyway but thought I'd give it a try. I walked in and got no greeting from the gal standing at the register but she also didn't say anything about "go ahead and order on the screen when you're ready" so since I saw her standing and I glanced at the menu I thought she was going to take my order and instead she walked away shortly so I stood for 30 seconds before I looked down at the screen where it said Tap to order.. so I don't know about you but if it was my first time, how was I supposed to know I had to do it on the screen? No interaction with the person working there at all? I placed the order and 2 minutes later my drink was ready, which was pretty fast but then I proceeded to mention to the gal it could've been very helpful for her point out that I had to order on the screen or that she could've said hello or something. This place is horrible and a rip off. First there is no air conditioning in the place while i waited 15 minutes for my order. They literally have one waffle maker! We ordered what was supposed to be a bubble waffle with ice cream and reeses topping. There was literally little to no ice cream. Whatever was in there instantly melted to the bottom. Still question if any was in there. They put a large marshmallow in the middle to hold the toppings instead of nice cold ice cream. All that for 7.25. I'll never be back.
