I was at S Hill Mall yesterday around 4pm and went to the restroom in the food court. As I was washing my hands a female with black hair wearing a brown apron exited a stall and proceeded to walk out of the bathroom without washing her hands. We ordered 4 drinks, not even complicated ones. They managed to get exactly one correct, and that seems to have been a mistake according to what they printed on the receipt. We would get our boba tea fix here once or twice a month, even though it was a hassle to get to if you just wanted boba and not to shop at the mall. Between the inconvenience, the usually poor customer service (could the cashiers pretend it isn't the biggest burden in the world to do their job?) and this last complete screw up of our order, we will have to recommend choosing one of the other boba tea places that have popped up since this place opened. read more

This place is the best restaurant to get your Boba Smoothie. I love to get their Strawberry Coconut drink with Mango Popping Boba, Lychee Jelly, and Crystal Boba. The crystal boba is a harder texture compared to the popping boba. The popping does exactly as its name, explodes in your mouth full of flavor after collapsing into it from their large size straw. This fruity mix is AMAZING!!!! Comparing the price to other places, it is cheaper and you end up getting more for your buck in comparison to other places only providing a tiny bit of boba that layers the bottom of the drink cup. There's so many options to try in a couple of different ways. I haven't tried the tea yet since I usually only purchase their smoothies. Whenever I have a question about trying something new, each employee has been friendly to provide their opinion as well as a suggestion. One of the most helpful employees has been the darker skin girl with brunette curly hair. She's speedy with making her drinks and knows the entire menu. Despite having seen people be rude to her, she still carries herself well. Whenever I go there and it's busy, she and the rest of the staff buzz around like busy bees trying to get everyone's order out in a timely manner while keeping the kitchen clean. Someone is always doing the dishes keeping all of the equipment spotless. If you're around the South Hill Mall and visit the food court, this place is a must to go to. My only issue is that I went there at 8pm when the mall closes at 9pm and the place was already closed down with one employee left. She had mentioned that depending on how busy it is, they have to close up at 7:30pm or 8pm. For the area you don't have much selection but definitely tastes like mall boba to me. The house milk tea isn't bad by any means but it doesn't stand out much either. The boba is cooked well but is flavorless (RIP brown sugar boba/honey boba). Small btw here really does mean small. It's not your regular size boba from other places. read more

A wonderful drink establishment that took over the Lotus Grill. They have a wide assortment of teas including milk-based teas, fruit flavored and 'boba' style bubble tea. Yesterday's (1/15/2023) employees were not it. My 10 year old LOVES to get boba tea, so yesterday she asked me to stop by the mall so she could get a tea, with her own money, so I did. There were 4 people working, well 3 standing around and one girl was wiping things down, so actually just the one was working, unfortunately she wasn't the one that helped us, or this review would probably be different. Anyways, my daughter ordered a strawberry fruit tea, with strawberry boba. The girl that made it seemed irritated by idk, having to do her job. When we picked it up off the counter there was a lot of black things in the tea, my daughter was like what is that, I said it looks like mold, I turned around to ask and was told it was tea stems, um, okay, weird, never had that before. My daughter then takes a drink and says something is off, so I again turn around and tell them something is not right with the drink. The girl in the beanie offers to remake it (with an attitude and eye rolls) and I'm like that would be great, I then try to tell her that my daughter said it tasted really minty, and she said yeah well we don't even have mint here. Okay, I was just trying to let you know what the issue was. She then proceeded to talk shit to her 2 other coworkers and roll her eyes while remaking my daughters drink. Like wtf, we weren't asking for your first born, or a kidney, we were just asking for the drink we actually ordered. Came here about a week ago. I ordered an all about fruit tea, a classic milk tea, and a house milk tea, all with boba. I asked to order a side of popping boba but in a separate cup so I can feed the popping bobas to my son. Before any consideration, the person assisting me immediately said, "no, we can't do that." Maybe they can't and management should look into making that change. I was willing to pay for an extra side and throw in for whatever an extra cup charge could be, but oh well. Or maybe it was the person assisting us. Whatever it was, this has never been an issue anywhere else I've gone. The experience wasn't great. The drinks were bland and the bobas were hard. Originally in the classic milk tea we asked for black tea base but they were out so we settled for green tea instead. Left my craving still to be desired. We won't be back, especially considering there is another boba spot now in the mall that is open and we will give a try to instead. read more

When my sister told me a new bubble tea place opened up in the area, of course I had to try it out. She had sent me pictures of the drinks she tried and said they were pretty good. I brought her here a week later after she told me so I could try it for the first time and she wanted to try more flavors. She did say that she felt like it came with a little amount of tapioca last time, and ordered her drinks with extra tapioca this time. One topping is included with the drinks, so maybe that's why it doesn't come with a good amount of tapioca, since we're not technically paying extra for it. I ordered the All About Fruit and the Strawberry Fruit Tea. I like the All About Fruit, especially with the passionfruit seeds in it. My sister had liked that one too. The Strawberry Fruit Tea was good, but nothing special about it. My sister said her Coffee Milk Tea didn't taste like coffee enough. And we both didn't really like the texture of the tapioca; it was a little too mushy. But it's close enough to us where we'll probably give it another try. read more

I love boba so when I heard of this place I just had to visit. I have been on the search for a good boba place. I ordered a fruit tea. The fruit teas only come in large compared to the milk teas. The tea was very good and I found that it was not overly sweet which was nice. However, my biggest complaint is that they don't give you enough boba! There was one small scoop for a large tea. The boba to tea ratio was very off. Very disappointing. If the drink had contained more boba I would have given it four stars. 3/5 read more

Surprisingly good tea! The tea is flavorful and not loaded down with ice. We got all of ours 25% sugar and even that was a little too sweet. Staff is okay but everyone struggles for good staff these days. Jasmine milk tea, Thai tea and rose milk tea were all super yummy! read more

I love this place! I fell in love with boba in Texas! So to find this place here in Washington I was so happy! The decor is modern and clean. Service is quick. Most importantly the drinks are AMAZING! Every time I am in the area I make it a point to stop here. for me, boba is always a good choice and this is my second time at this one but that was when they first opened and were still tweaking their ratios so that time doesn't count. we got the thai milk tea and the taro slush one both with tapioca. i've seen a previous reviewer say the tapioca:tea ratio was off for his trip here but i think (hope) they read their reviews because i think they fixed that issue as both drinks i got today had good amounts of tapioca for both being large. my only complaint is that their thai tea was a bit on the bitter side. sweeter thai tea (lol the can ones or ones from straight up thai restaurants) is my personal preference but i know people who prefer their thai tea a little bitter and if you like yours bitter msweet, then this ones for you. the taro slush was super good though! it wasn't too icy (thank goodness, places often have trouble with that because it'll turn too icy and whatnot) and the flavor was good. service was fast and friendly too. their set up looked clean and neat and they respected the whole "light on the ice" when i asked. UPDATE: we got the taro slush again and the avocado banana. our friend got the rose milk tea. no complaints about the taro (they're pretty good at keeping it taste good!) but the avocado banana was virtually banana with a pinch of avocado. no avocado taste whatsoever which was disappointing but i'm not surprised because the first time i went (when they first opened) i had their matcha avocado and that was straight up matcha. the rose milk tea was super good though! something that if you're unfamiliar with, its worth trying if you're someone who is willing to try new things and don't stick to the same (me lol). the person working POS didn't look nor was as friendly as a worker should be. she's solely there to take your order and nothing more which i don't agree with when you're working with people but hey, to each their own. read more

They can't make a really good avocado bubble tea ( smoothie) which is so disappointing because it's hard to find places that do fresh avocado! They skimp too much on their rainbow jelly and the sweet syrup it comes in. I've been there twice and I've never been somewhere that gave that little jelly to bubble tea ratio. Ever place I've ever been to for a fresh avocado bubble tea has been better than the one here, even though it's definitely priced slightly higher. When I asked about the amount of jelly they add the girl working told me it would be extra to get more added. I get charging extra for well extra, but when it's not enough or not comparable to other bubble tea places that's disappointing because you'd think there would be a standard. I have an expectation of what this drink is suppose to taste like I've been getting it for years around Tacoma! But since moving to Puyallup I haven't had one. When you give enough jelly / jelly syrup in a avocado bubble tea it gives it the perfect sweetness! When you don't it can be kinda bland. I hope they can change this and figure out how to properly sweeten a avocado bubble tea because it is really nice having this option at the south hill mall and I'd like to give them my business. Maybe this drink is just something I should avoid and find someplace else to get! I'll update my review if this changes or I have something else from this place that I try. read more
