Beef Rib Pho
Jim M.

Tasty broth with fresh ingredients. I can't say enough about the Beef Rib Pho, tender to the last bite. I'll be back!

Vermicelli
Edenielle A.

Food: the food here is delicious! I've been to this location about 3 times and each time I try something different. My favorite so far is the vermicelli bowl. The portion is huge and I always have to share with my husband just to finish it. Will definitely be back to try more dishes. Service: the service is great. Whether the place is busy or slow the staff is attentive. Ambiance: it's a casual restaurant, not too much noice. It's also cute with modern decoration

First time trying the pork chops. It was ok, good amount of food for the price. There wasn't much service they just take your order and that's about it. The restaurant was nice inside but really quiet. But the upside they are open late.

Veggies for pho no basil
Jocielyn W.

Arrived with a dinner partner, whisked away to a 2 person small table up by cash register. Table directly in front of register. He wanted us to sit there. We chose a table further away and he seemed to ask us to switch to a smaller table. Mind you as we were there, there were couples sitting at 4 person booths, 1 person sitting in a 4 person booth and he harasses us at a 4 person table?? He took his time to get back to us and was rude taking our order. Usually it's a nice young guy who helps is this guy was short and skinny seems older than this guy but way friendlier. Food is normally good, hopefully it's good today. Pho ordered, no basil today.

Hotpot

Food is still good! Service is always great and it's always presentable ! I got the hotpot last time we came here and it was really good and hot!! Temperature wise so very careful!

Beef R6. Teriyaki Beef

I ordered their beef teriyaki to go. The description didn't match what I ordered. I received shredded lettuce as the "salad." The beef was crusty, stringy, rubbery and in a pool of watery sauce. I lost my appetite and couldn't eat it. You're getting better beef teriyaki from other restaurants for cheaper.

Saddest excuse for a Bahn Xeo
Christie A.

Absolutely not! We've eaten there when they first opened. I have ordered from delivery service multiple times. Tonight, though.....ordered the Bahn Xeo, and I'm not sure who was in the kitchen. Everything inside was not cooked!! Please provide the quality of food that aligns with your prices. Did ownership change?

Tofu fresh rolls bust open on their own. Need to double wrap these puppies so they don't fall apart.

Came here for the first time this week and ordered a couple bowls of pho along with some tofu fresh rolls. First, the decor here is well done. Tables are way too high- and we are tall people. So seating was a bit uncomfortable and made us feel like toddlers. The seats need to be raised or tables lowered at least 3 inches. Smells nice when you first walk in. The pho was excellent. Nice broth, not too heavy handed with the cilantro. Good portions. Carrots could have been sliced thinner, the chicken breast was so tender! The fresh rolls tasted good, but the wrapping technique was so poor and they bust open before even eating them. Some basil would have been nice- they were fairly bland. The dipping sauce wasn't flavorful nor did I like the orange color. It was very runny. Prefer hoisin and peanut butter sauce. Hopefully they make a few changes. Otherwise this is a nice place.

What a great spot for pho! It's located in the Meridian Center. Plenty of parking spaces available at around noon. I really like the interior...clean and beautiful decor. Restrooms and tables are very clean. Service was good and friendly. A medium portion of the seafood pho was very delicious and filling. It contains shrimp, squid, and mussels. Very satisfied with this meal.

Very flavorful bun thit nuong. Modern atmosphere. Attentive waiters. Pho has been ok (Seattle generally fairs better). Food portions are great.

V1. Grilled Pork Vermicelli

This was my first time here and the restaurant was very nice and good customer service. I ordered the Vermicelli and it was the best one I've had, It even comes with shrimp and a spring roll! I will definitely be coming back.

It used to our "go to" place. Not any longer. I don't know if it has new owners but the service has gotten deplorable. We will not be back.

While eating, I kept getting whiffs of what smelled like the scent that was lingering in their restrooms. I realized that happened every time they had to clean a table. I think they use the same cleaner that they use for the restrooms to clean the tables. Perhaps it's an all purpose cleaner, but the scent was really off putting. To make matters worse, my husband wanted to try some of my pho (he got a Vietnamese sandwich) so we asked for a bowl on the side. We didn't know until we went to pay that they had charged us extra to split a bowl--on top of the already ridiculously priced bowl of pho. Between the long strand of hair in my drink, the lack of price transparency, and feeling like I was eating in a restroom at times, my lunch that day was not pleasant, to say the least. We won't be returning.

The vibe is perfect for that--low pressure, relaxed, and easy to just sit down and focus while you eat. One thing I really like is that you can order right from the kiosk at your table. The staff still brings everything out and makes sure you're taken care of, but there's not a lot of back-and-forth unless you want it. After talking to people all day for work, I honestly appreciate that more than anything. That said, if you prefer a more traditional experience, they're happy to take your order too--I saw them do that for another table with no problem. I usually get the brisket pho, and it's always really good. This time I also tried a fried roll that came with this super pink sauce that I was honestly a little skeptical about at first--but it was so good. I ended up dipping everything in it, even my brisket. Definitely getting that again. Overall, it's just a really solid spot with good food and an easy, comfortable atmosphere. I'll definitely keep coming back.

YESSS!! This is THE place for Vietnamese food! They are indeed authentic!…read more I have been missing the smell and taste of staple Vietnamese dishes ever since I moved out of California a few months ago. I used to receive Mom's vietnamese home cooking frequently and I lived near the Asian hubbubs with easy access to all the cuisine, but now I have to discover new places here in Washington to satiate my taste buds. Everything I've tried so far has been good. I've been content. But here!! I ordered takeout through Doordash, and as soon as I picked up my food, an aroma of so many flavors filled up my car. Parking is kinda annoying since it's on the street but I arrived within 30 mins of opening hours so it wasn't terrible yet. The restaurant already had at least a table or so, with customers, so I wouldn't be surprised if it got busier later. There's a fair amount of space and tables for hungry stomachs! The food was about ready by the time I arrived, and the 30 min drive home left me feeling famished and ready to dig in. Thankfully, I was not disappointed. Everything was packaged well so that nothing spilled during the car ride, and everything was so yummy! I ordered more than I originally intended... I was craving com tam (broken rice) and couldn't find a satisfactory place near my residence, so I drove all the way here to Tacoma.. and then I figured, I might as well order their Banh Xeo too! The photos online made it look so good, and it ended up tasting amazing! Slightly crispy and stuffed just enough with bean sprouts, meat, and other goodies. Perfect after drizzling some of the sauce over it. The Com Tam was also made well, and definitely hit my cravings with its classic ingredients. I ordered a Large Pho Bo Vien (meatball) for my son, and was sooo tempted to eat some myself. The broth smelled fresh and the noodles were cooked nicely. Decent portions for everything, too. I definitely need to return to try out more of their food. So far, it has made me one happy Viet gal :)

We were headed to Tacoma and I came across VK Viet Kitchen on Yelp. Food looked great and reviews were plenty enough. Table is free for all as long as it's available. Once we sat down, the owner came to talk to us pretty quickly. He asked if we've eaten at the restaurant before and how we found out about them. They're a long time standing business around the area, so even on a random Wednesday lunch hour, most of the tables were full. The menu is extensive! There's a lot of menu items that are new to us, but between the three of us, we got the Green Apple Salad with Tofu (S1) and Crab Meat Fried Rolls (A18) to share. My partner got the Bun Rieu Tom Cua (V4) and my brother got the Bun Bo Hue (V3). I opted for Hu Tieu with Soup (P15). The green apple salad was pretty good. It's got a lot of tangy flavor to it because they used green apples and they mixed in a lot of apple slices. It also goes surprisingly well with the tofu and it's nice that they cut up the tofu into bigger matchsticks to match the apple slices. As for the Crab Meat Fried Rolls - these were really nicely fried. Nice, crunchy outer exterior and lots of crab meat in the inside. The pickled veggies was a nice palate cleanser. Finally, for my Hu Tieu, the soup was amazing! It's a nice, light, clear and nourishing broth. It's comforting for the chilly day. They provided a lot of pork liver, kidney, shrimp, squid, and even a quail egg in there. I like the addition of chives as well. Awesome Vietnamese restaurant to take a lunch break at. Employees were friendly and efficient. It was also really nice of the owner to talk to us and just get us comfortable. I've bookmarked this place for the next time we come visit Seattle!

Food: I'm an American born Chinese kid from California and the food here could go head to head with anything in San Diego or LA. The broth is clean and simple Chinese style soup, not too salty and perfectly reduced. They load the bowls with tons of protein and are very flexible with whatever combination of proteins you want. The cha sui is perfect with just the right amount of sweet glaze and a touch of char to keep it interesting. The roast pork has one of the crispiest skins I've had which you can just let soak in the broth to your desired consistency. The duck is moist, tender, and relatively meaty (sometimes restaurants source scrawny ducks which are mostly bone). The weakest part of dish is the which have that store-bought taste and could be fresher and slightly more al dente.
