N3. Grilled Pork Vermicelli & Fried Egg Roll

Fresh veggies. Soft noodles. Crispy egg roll. Delicious! Service was prompt. The radio was a little loud but we were there during and off time so it was not a big deal.

Meh, not impressed with the food and the service though. I know they are busy and only had two servers running around helping everyone. They never had time to checked in on us. We had to flag them down to get thier attention and have to asked them for things we needed. We could have ordered Some bubble tea but the servers were to busy . Ives had better pho somewhere else. I ordered the pork chop with an egg on top. Pork chop did not have the taste of being grilled but boiled with some sauce on top. I did not finished half of one pork chop. This dish was not very tasty, very bland. However, the appetizers were ok, my companion said the same thing with thier orders. It was our first and will be our last time there. Please do not take my word, but go there yourself and hopefully your experience is different and better from mines. It's just my opinion . Have a good summer and good luck

Looks like they remodeled, it's nice. Food still good, I had general Tsao's chicken, fries, and iced milk coffee. The coffee was not as strong as I remembered and no condensed milk, I think they used half and half. But still good.

And tell the lady who was helping me to come see him now yelling at his why she was helping me and the lady say wait to him he say he doesn't care come here now wow is all I have to say !!! Ok so the pho I ordered is really salty I also orders spring roll which she forgot my order which is OK because I wanted to live I sorry I'm not going to be coming back

    11. Raw Beef & Tendon Pho

Food has no flavor at all. I couldn't get myself to even finish eating it . After 3 bites I just paid and left. Never coming back.

If you had grown up in this part of Pierce County, you are familiar with the enormous changes. However, this is one restaurant that has stayed with the times. Locals know, this is the place to start with, an original - Ho Soon Yi. Where the place can easily be swallowed up by the hustle and bustle of businesses on a very busy city street, this casual sit-down Korean restaurant has the everyday favorites you are familiar with. Where many Korean American establishments focus on the BBQ aspect, Ho Soon Yi focuses and masters other parts Korean cuisine. Specifically the soups!! And they are tasty!! Definitely the tofu soups are there, but there are appetizers, fried rice, and the traditional small side dishes are also served. My friend and I ordered the savory seafood pancake as the appetizer. As for soups, I ordered the Pork Tofu Soup and it was great! Definitely satisfying, and I didn't miss the BBQ one bit. Yes, the do have kalbi and bulgogi (beef, pork and seafood) but that is for another time. There are definitely plenty dishes to try. And all are tasty. You won't be disappointed. Come see an original before seeing the others. See Ho Soon Yi... soon!

There were only a few tables inside but almost half of them were already occupied with several customers. I was quickly seated for a table of 1. The tables are fairly close together and the noise level is low enough to hear conversations around me. I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I did hear other customers comment at their tables that the food here is good. There's a few ajummas working here, so service was straightforward. I ordered the kalbi dolsot bibimbap, which seemed inexpensive and came with some complementary sides, and they were nice enough to cut my kalbi into bite-sized pieces for me. I would say, if I can finish my food in one sitting at a restaurant, I am either really hungry, satisfied, or both. In this case, it was both! This is my first dolsot bibimbap after moving to Washington recently, and I am glad it did not disappoint.

It was crunchy and not too salty or bland. The ratio of scallion, seafood, and batter was perfect. They did not skimp out on the squid. The size of the squid was about one phalange. When I bit into the squid it was chewy, springy, and meaty. It's amazing to me how they managed to make the pancake crunchy despite filling it with so many ingredients. The kimchi and radish were super flavorful and not too spicy! Kimchi was sooo good. Even though the side dishes were limited, I enjoyed the freshness and taste. I also tried the samgyetang (Korean chicken soup) and bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) for the first time. The samgyetang was light and hearty. The broth could have been a bit sweeter. I probably wouldn't order this again though because I like more flavor. Though the bibim naengmyeon was too spicy for me, it was refreshing. The noodles were chewy and the cucumbers added a nice crunch.

Prices were high, that's fine considering how things are right now. But where I draw the line is forcing me to change my tip amount in front of my family because I believed that tips should be used as a reward system for above and beyond service. I tipped a good 10%. But because of my family size and which wasn't stated anywhere on the menu or the facility, I was embarrassed in front of my family and asked to raise it to a minimum of 15%. A shame that this wasn't just reflected in the already high menu prices. Pay your employees instead of having them resort to such atrocious aggressive tactics and begging.
