I walked into the Pho House mostly to escape the weather, and a steaming bowl of pho ended up being exactly what I needed. The broth had a clean, rich flavor that didn't need much dressing up, and the fresh herbs gave every bite a nice burst of freshness. I liked being able to customize the bowl to my taste, and the serving size was more than enough to satisfy my appetite. It was a simple meal done really well, and I'll definitely be back next time I;m in the mood for something warm and comforting. read more

Pho House - Soooooo delicious!!!!!! I have been so may different Pho places and this one is best!!!! - Vietnamese Near Me - Slidell, Louisiana

We walked in for lunch today. No one greated us. The gentleman working actually walked in after us (we held the door open for him because he had tools in his hands). There was a waitress and bartender as well. No one even looked at us including the guy that we held the door open for that was stocking all of the supplies. After about 10 minutes of us sitting at a table I could see the bartender tell the waitress to bring us menus, which she did without speaking to us. After another 10 minutes, no one brought us drinks or even spoke to us. We left. No one even noticed. read more

Food's OK but the place is very safe. STPO officers and state police eat there often. I guess then sketchy people might not like that... Spicy beef soup is pretty good. read more

Our go-to order is any pho with the spicy beef broth, plus any banh mi--and you can't go wrong with the Thai tea either. The broth has a deep, rich flavor with the perfect level of spice and a really nice hint of cinnamon that sets it apart. My wife and I have tried pho places all over the U.S., and this one still stands out. Now that we don't live in Slidell anymore, I'll sometimes catch my wife scrolling through their Facebook because she genuinely misses this place. The staff is always super friendly, the food is consistently solid, and overall it's just a great establishment. read more

I recently moved to Slidell a few months ago, and I've been missing my pho spot in my old town. So I ordered this as take out. Thinking I'll just give it a shot. I was so happy. For one it came with the bowl. I know that's something so small but I LOVE that it came with a bowl. The veggie bag was packed with everything I could possibly need. So much meat in the soup. All I had to do was pour the broth into the bowl provided. Everything else was already in it. And it was absolutely delicious. I will be ordering again really soon. read more

Under previous owner both food and service was 4 to 5 star Since new ownership I have walked out twice without even ordering. The food is a total unknown The service unfortunately does not exist. The two times I walked out I waited more than 5 minutes ( actually timed the second time). Admittedly this was a lunch time but they need help I hope they get their act together and someone lets me know read more

Would have been fine had it not been for the hair that my son saw on the very first eggroll he picked up. Ruined the rest of the meal. Bathroom gross, $55 for two I'd love to have back read more

The food is really awesome!!! I asked for shaken shrimp and the chef made it real awesome!!!! Very tasty and very appetizingly satisfying. The veggie tofu version was so delicious too!!! We did a family trip to Florida. We stop by to try some Vietnamese food here . Best pho in town! The broth is rich and full of flavor, the noodles are fresh, and the meat melts in your mouth. Service is warm, fast, and makes you feel like family. A must-try for anyone who loves authentic Vietnamese food. Highly recommended! read more

After stopping for gas in the area, we headed over to Pho House for lunch. We ordered the spicy beef noodle soup (bun bo hue) and grilled pork & egg roll vermicelli (thit nuong & cha gio.) The pork was sliced a bit too thick for my liking. However, the food was surprisingly very tasty, considering we're in Louisiana. Without a doubt, the food served at Pho House surpasses Pho Ever in Leesville. The 3.95% credit card charge sucks, but you have no choice but to pay up unless you have cash ready and available in your wallet. There's a large aquarium situated near the bar area. The booth seats are pretty worn and should be replaced or possibly reupholstered. Service was very friendly and upbeat. This establishment is also kid friendly and offered lollipops to young children. I'd definitely return. read more

The steamed buns are so good! Food always fresh. We always always order to go, but the dining area is small and quaint.. not sure if there's many liquor options other than beer. The owners are nice, and the service is always on point. We've never been disappointed. I highly recommend this location. read more

Cold and rainy days call for a steamy bowl of pho to warm you up and satisfy your hunger. Pho House serves up the ***BEST PHO*** in Slidell and that's PHO sure! PHO-get trying out other places because their pho is PHO-real! Instead of making a pit stop, take the time for a PHO-stop!!! Pho House is located in a less traversed shopping center (just off I-12 and Brownswitch Road) but don't let that keep you away from trying some Vietnamese cuisine. I can always count on a good home-cooked meal at this family owned and operated restaurant with friendly service. Our go-to is the Pho House, which is basically pho dac biet (combination pho), available in a small or large bowl. After sipping the pho broth, you can tell that it's flavorful and on point, just like mama used to make! You can tell that they use quality ingredients and lots of love. Pho: amazingly PHO-tastic! (5/5) Spring rolls: fresh and delicious but I prefer the pork-shrimp but the other kinds are tasty (4/5) Thai delight salad: seafood (squid and shrimp) salad made with a strong fish sauce dressing; proceed with caution if you're not accustomed to the sometimes overwhelming taste of fish sauce (4/5) Banh mi (Vietnamese poboy): perfect for lunch (5/5) Ca kho to (catfish in clay pot): yummy caramelized catfish cooked in a clay pot; almost as good as mama makes (5/5) Cafe sua da (Vietnamese iced coffee): get this if you want a major jolt of caffeine to get wired; it's sweet and strong (5/5) You honestly cannot go wrong with any of the dishes here because I've enjoyed everything that I've ordered. For some of the best Vietnamese food in Slidell, please consider giving Pho House a try and you'll see why the locals keep coming back PHO more. Pho House is PHO-nomenal! read more

I usually like this place, but... Unfortunately last night, 05 March 2020, I ordered the pork and egg roll vermicelli noodle bowl and the pork was way over cooked and was old and cold (like the meat was cooked earlier and then put on side for a while until someone ordered). It was not good meat. Very bad, actually. Worst part: I told kid who was my waiter about this and he told me I need to describe it better. I thought it was a good enough description, and he didn't offer any compensation. So I won't be going back. read more

Amazing Pho! I've lived close to this restaurant for almost 2 years. I am disappointed that I didn't try it sooner! The pho was delicious. I had the spicy beef and an order of eggrolls. My mom had the wonton soup and she also enjoyed it. I actually tried hers and the broth was so flavorful and full of depth unlike most wonton soups that I've had in the past. My sons had the chicken pho and the bubble tea. They thought it was excellent too! Let's just say they have some new regular customers. On another note, the establishment is clean and the staff is friendly. That is always a plus for me. I think my family and I will make up for all the times we never ordered from here! read more

Pho House - Spicy Beef Pho - Vietnamese Near Me - Slidell, Louisiana

Tastes like I am back in Thailand. I have tried other places and it's just not the same. Usually, the meat is just not...well...real meat. The meat used here is marinated for a while. It's juicy. I had the Banh Mi on french bread, a green tea boba, and the steamed buns. The Banh Mi had to adjusted for me (I have one kidney) to a low salt option but it was very tasty. They hand make their spring rolls so they used the steamed pork on my Banh Mi because it isn't marinated...perfect! Ok, I gotta get off this post and order another Banh mi to go for lunch tomorrow. Cheers! read more

Best pho in the area! My husband and I usually come here for date nights since we love their pho and summer rolls.

I ordered a large pho Tia to go. When i picked up my order I noticed it was just two containers. One with the broth and one with the noodles with the bloody raw steak on top. I also noticed it was only a small regular portion size Pho and not a large. I asked the waitress if she could have it remade with the meat separated because I did not want to risk getting sick from the blood juice... I also asked about the portion size wich she said was the large! They put the meat and onions in a separate container and gave me the same noodles... Not worth the to go order from here! read more

Came to eat lunch here with my daughters because it had good reviews. However, the service was terrible. We ordered two pho soups and my daughter ordered a boba. Took them forever to bring out the spring rolls and they completely forgot about the boba. Food took a long time to come out and the bill had charges on it for things I didn't order. The only reason I gave it a 2 was because the food was good read more

Fabulous food and the service was amazing and so were the prices!! Odd place to eat a po-boy or banh mi as they call it but I have to say that is the best bread we have eaten and the sandwich and seasonings were amazing. We were so impressed. Can't wait to return and try something else. Thanks! Don't hesitate to go. read more

I'm so torn about how to review this place because the food is great but the service isn't the best. The servers aren't very attentive by any means. I went for lunch with a friend and they took 10-15 minutes just to get our order, brought us spring rolls and then took them away (we don't know why), have us someone else's order and then took it away and replaced it without saying anything, we had to flag someone down to get our bill, it was just strange. All of that to say if you do want to eat here just get it to go. read more

We are fortunate to have this place just a few minutes' drive away from home. This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Slidell. Wow! Pho House made my day go from zero to 100 real quick. I ate here for lunch this past Friday and it was EXCELLENT! We ordered the shrimp & pork spring rolls and the Black Special (pho) for lunch. They were packed but the one server was takin care of business and takin care of the entire restaurant by himself. Even with this being the case, we didn't have to wait at all for him or the food. He had such a good attitude it made us feel happy to be there as well, and with a happy staff/ full restaurant I knew the food was gonna be good. The Black Special was my favorite. The spicy beef broth was pretty hot but not unbearable. The meat was cooked just right. Spring rolls were freshly rolled and the shrimp was seasoned so deliciously. I will definitely drive back to Slidell from Nola just to eat here. Excellent experience. Also, loved the big bottle of Hoisin sauce on the table :) read more

Let me start by saying I found this place by accident, as one day I took my nieces on their prom dress shopping in Slidell and we really wanted to eat BWW.
