Stopped by for a late dinner bite after my pickleball session. Quick glance at the menu and noticed they only serve Pho and do not have any rice options. Asked if I could get a summer roll and was told they were sold out so go the spring rolls instead. It was below average and not much to write about. Tried their Special Pho which came out with good meat options. Pho was good and I was satisfied with it. The place has a casual charm and its a good option to satisfy a late night pho craving.

Solid pho spot Lots of parking Restaurant was super clean and had ac blasting Got a small bowl of pho tai chin and it was huge Lots of noodles and meat Broth was authentic and had deep flavor Eggrolls were huge and crunchy Lots of veggies and they have pickled onions (hanh dam) Takes apple pay Will come back to try more dishes

Nice & fresh Salads ( I think it comes with the entree).

Here's what we ordered: Garlic Noodles with Beef Tenderloin that also featured grilled mixed vegetables & a Grilled Chicken Vietnamese Sandwich. Both flavorful & well made. A crisp salad came with the entree. My BF noticed the tomato slices were seeded. I don't mind it either way but the seeds can be mushy I suppose. Service was very attentive & nice. Lots of windows looking out onto the large parking lot. This free-standing building used to be a Super Mex for years. Lots of Pho choices & the menu offers lots of interesting dishes so you're bound to find something! They have late night hours too.

It was a hot day outside temperature wise and I came across this place for lunch (I am new to the area) and thought to myself, pho sounds really good right now but it's too hot to eat it. I said to heck with it as my sinuses were flaring up and decided to give it a try (so glad I did)! I was greeted promptly by a server and had my choice of seating. They have a pretty extensive menu for being so small and I opted for the 12.95 lunch pho special so I ordered veggie and it came out piping hot and was a big bowl! I also ordered a spring roll a la carte on their lunch menu for 3 bucks which was also big and tasty. Service was excellent and the servers were super sweet and attentive. Will definitely be back as the pho was authentic and tasty (they also have vermicelli bowls as well). Such a great place!

Garlic Noodles

This restaurant has been open for a few months and I've been meaning to try it. My wife and I got seated almost immediately after walking in. We ordered the Garlic Noodle, Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings, and Grilled Pork Chop Rice Plate. The food was alright. The pork chop wasn't tender and lacked flavor, even after dipping it in the sauce. The wings were crispy, but nothing special. I wouldn't crave the food and I don't see myself returning here. Service was fine and restaurant is clean.

I got the birria beef bone rib and brisket pho. I wish the birria had actually birria meat where the meat falls apart and is tender. I got cubes of meat that was supposed to be birria so was little thrown off by that. Maybe I'm just a huge birria lover but I wish the birria flavor was more pronounced. It has a blend of both pho and birria but I barely taste the Mexican flavors including the spices and oil. We got this Togo along with the sunset drink. Sunset drink was too sweet for me. Maybe I'll stick to the more traditional pho next time.

Signature pho, birria pho

We got a $10 coupon to come here through Facebook ads and Pho Hoa certainly didn't disappoint! Staff are very friendly and we got seated right away at 8pm Tuesday. Got their signature pho and birria pho and man, they're both SO flavorful! They're both large size so portions are humongous -- definitely enough to take home for a second meal. These have gotta be some of the best pho broths I've ever tasted!! Very happy to find a solid pho place near home. We'll definitely be back!

Garlic butter shaken beef 4.5 stars

Found this spot in the way back home. The place is brightly lit and the sign is bright and easy to find. I thought it was a walk up and order at the counter type of place but they actually seat you and take your order. It was pretty clean too. The customer service is nice. They staff that took my order was nice, polite and attentive. Garlic butter shaken beef: seasoned very well and the meat was really tender. I didn't have to fight with the beef to chew it. It comes with white rice or garlic noodles. They also serve a side salad and some pho broth with it which is nice. 4.5 stars Chicken wings: they have a small and larger order. The option to choose bone in or boneless. 6 for bone in and 10'for boneless which is fair. I hate when they charge you the same for the same amount. To me, chicken wings aren't wings if there's no bone, so I opted for bone in. They have different flavors to choose from. I chose the lemon pepper. It was good but the chicken pieces were in the smaller side. 4 stars. They have the option to scan your bill and pay through your phone, or you can pay using Apple Pay or traditional card and cash. I thought that was a great option...the scan and pay part. :) Anyway, I would come back again.

Butter noodles with meat

The spring rolls were pretty good, I'm usually use to them being bigger at other places, but it tasted good. The butter noodles with the meat was decent, I wasn't a huge fan of the meat texture. The service was quick to attend and serve. The place is pretty clean and has many tables.

We got food togo here today Aug 16. My family said pho was good. But my bun bo hue i was not happy with it. No pork feet don't see no beef meat in here but 1 piece. Everything was pork meat n noodles. The pork blood tasted nasty I had to spit it out. The tendon was way over cooked. That was breaking apart. Couple bites down i found a short blk hair. I don't have blk her it's blond so it's not mine.

Beef pho, and grilled pork bowl.

Came here today for lunch, I would say this is easily the best most authentic Pho in cypress/losal/anaheim area. The prices are affordable, the service is fantastic, the restaurant is clean and the food is phenomenal. The pho broth was the perfect flavor, didn't need hoisin or sriracha. I do put it in anyways because I like it, but it truly had such a great flavor complex it's not necessary. My daughter got the grilled pork bowl, EASILY the best grilled pork I have ever had from any other Vietnamese restaurant - will be coming back for this. Another honorable mention is the fish sauce, usually I don't use it at all it's too strong, not here. The fish sauce was mild and the flavor was fantastic. I will be recommending Pho Hoa to everyone I know!

Tofu spring roll with peanut sauce 2 for $5
Angel B.

I checked out Pho Hoa in Cypress after my dentist visit. The place is super clean. I ordered the tofu spring rolls with peanut sauce and for $5 you get two huge rolls packed with fresh veggies, vermicelli and tofu. For the price it was definitely worth it. Fresh, light, served with a tasty peanut sauce. Menu has all the usual Vietnamese staples like pho and vermicelli bowls, plus other sides and drinks. Service was friendly and quick. Overall, a great local spot for Vietnamese food with generous portions and good vibes. I would definitely come back! In fact Im looking forward to ordering a bowl/plate.

I understand that the wait time could be long, but the fact that they gave my order for the customers who came after me was ridiculously funny. I'm not mad because of the wait time, it was Sat and the market was busy too, simply felt like I got disrespected. A few more guests came in after us, but most of the tables remained open. We ordered the #7 Shrimp Spring Rolls ($8.95) to start. They were edible, but the texture was a little stale and chewy, almost like they had been made earlier in the day and refrigerated a bit too long. Compared to spring rolls we've had at other Vietnamese restaurants, these fell short. My wife ordered the #24 Beef Pho with Rare Steak ($13.95), while I had the #23 Beef Pho Combo (14.95). Both bowls were served with a fairly bland broth and noticeably less meat than we're used to seeing at a similar price point elsewhere. That said, the service was excellent. Our server stayed on top of everything and checked in several times to make sure we were happy with our meal. The restaurant was also very clean and organized. Overall, the experience was fine, but the food itself just didn't leave much of an impression. We left feeling like we probably don't need to scratch the Pho May itch again anytime soon.

Welcome to Day 2 of OC Food Journals, where I try a new place every day so you don't have to…read more Today's stop was Loi's Kitchen, and honestly, this review is a little overdue. I'm a bit late getting around to writing this, and unfortunately, they are already closed, but I still felt like I had to share my experience. I'm not completely surprised that they closed, especially after trying their bò né. I've had this dish many times at different places around Orange County, and unfortunately, this was probably the weakest version I've come across. The first thing that stood out was the presentation. As you can see in the picture, there was this purple-colored sauce on the meat itself, which honestly did not look very appetizing. To make things worse, the sauce was cold and did not heat in time with the skillet, which really took away from the experience. The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything memorable. It was just okay, and when you factor in the cold food and the presentation, it made the whole dish disappointing. With so many places around Orange County serving bò né at a much higher level, I would probably recommend spending your money elsewhere. If you were wondering whether you missed out on some hidden gem, don't worry, you didn't. This one felt more like a piece of coal than a diamond. That being said, every restaurant has its journey, and with more time, maybe they could have found their footing. Hopefully, they can take this experience as a lesson, refine their recipes, and bring something better in their next venture. I am rooting for you Loi!
