This was my first time going to this restaurant. I had been to other branch locations so I knew what to expect. First let me start of by saying that they had completely given me the wrong order, then took it away without any apologies. (The staff was actually playing some form of gambling game at one of the tables. And was very difficult to get there attention.)When they had finally given me what I actually ordered, the presentation was sloppy the portions were small and unacceptable. The meat was very fatty, the soup was sour and over seasoned. But finally if I couldn't get any worse while I was eat my "food" I found a literal piece of plastic. And when I tried to contact a manager there was no one available and they did not give me any information as to when they would return. This is by far the best pho that I've ever have. I wish I can give them 5 stars but sorry the service sucks. The food is great here. And one thing I like is they're open as early as 9AM when most of restaurants are close. The food they serve really fast. It's just across the street from Galleria at Tyler (Tyler Mall). Be careful of fraudulent charges! My credit card was charged by this restaurant a few weeks after I last visited. At first I didn't notice because it was a small charge (less than $5), but I recalled the name of the restaurant and the bank later confirmed it was this establishment in Riverside. I called the restaurant to ask about the fraudulent charge but the person answering the phone claimed the manager or owner is rarely in the restaurant! Absolutely no help. My card is now cancelled and I'm waiting for a replacement. What crooks! read more

Good authentic Vietnamese food! When I say authentic, I mean they don't care too much to speak good/any English. However, they sure make some tasty a$$ dishes. Ordered Bahn Mi with BBQ pork (only BBQ pork taste good) for about $5. Meat and vegetables added compliment each other very well. Wife ordered chopped steak that comes in a sizzling iron plate. So disappointing. First, i called in my order..the following is the conversation " hi i'd like to order 2 chicken pho" i just got a grunt for a response and they hung up the phone. My friends and I came here after class looking for some comfort food. I ordered the #1 and some pork spring rolls. They didn't have shrimp paste rolls but instead added some shrimp into my pork rolls and accommodated the situation which I really appreciated. Their Vietnamese coffee is incredibly strong and I thought it was pretty good. Worth the $5? No, not really but it's good to get once in a while. The pho was beyond amazing given the fact it's riverside(no offense). The broth was very deep in taste and warmed my entire body. It was really good and the price was fair. This is my go to place. I've tried other pho spots in town and it just isn't the same. Service has always been good to me and the food is good. Always order the pho tai and bang mi bo. Pho has flavor and sandwich is good for the price that you pay. Oh btw the way there smoothies are off the hook. Best smoothies in town. Other places they are water down or doesn't taste like a real Viet smoothie but this place nailed it. Been eating at Pho Ha since I was a kid. Used to go to the one in San Bernardino when I used to live out there. But since I've moved to Riverside I go to this one. I came on a Saturday night, with party of three and the restaurant was less than half full. This is my second visit, it's been a couple of years since my first. Congratulations Pho Ha! In two years you still haven't managed to understand the concept that when customers order something labeled as "appetizer", it is expected before the entree! LOL We received our spring rolls almost 10 minutes after we started on our entrees. Luckily it was prepared well and tasted fresh. As others have commented. Their customer service was lacking. No one looked happy to be working there let alone to serve you, their customer. But this is par-for-the-course like most mom-and-pop asian restaurants, so I wasn't surprised. The food was good but nothing special. The BBQ pork vermicelli dish was flavorful. Portion size was satisfactory. This place would not be my first choice in Riverside for Pho dishes though. The highlight of my visit was that the menu was easy to understand and had plenty of pictures for reference. This is uncommon of most Asian restaurants, kudos! Bottom line: Beggars can't be choosers. I've went to this place a couple of times, and I just don't like going here. The food is good, but coming from a biased and Vietnamese background, my dad makes better pho than this place. I actually remembered that they didn't put green onions in my pho. CUSTOMER SERVICE (Since everyone is talking about it) I don't want to ring the bell again, but I feel like I have to share my experience. I went with my brother and we sat ourselves because that's what we always do at pho restaurants. I ordered Pho Dac Biet and my brother ordered Bo Luc Lac. I noticed another gentleman coming shortly after us and sat on the other side of the place. When my brother got his food, I was confused as to why my pho didnt come also. Next thing I see is the guy, who came after us, gets his pho AND spring rolls. I'm all sitting slouched back in my chair waiting for my food and give a death stare to the waitress. She looks at me a couple of times and then grew a conscience and told me that my soup was coming. A couple of minutes later I get my pho and I ate it. I went to a pho restaurant.....I order pho.....and I got my pho later than someone who came after me....WHO ALSO ORDERED PHO! I go pay for our meals to the register guy and he gives me the check. I write " $0.00" for the tip and as I was writing the total, I can see him shaking his head and looking at the waitress through my peripherals. I didn't care one bit, and I don't think I will ever come back here again. I truly think this family-owned business is just flat out tired of working there. No way dude, no way! MSG saturated broth is a no no. Don't believe me? Ask for a smaller bowl and scoop 3-4 spoonfuls out. Let the soup stand for 5 minutes and viola! Brown powder at the base of the bowl. The server will say that it's bone marrow. Uh..No! That might work on the round eye, but I'm Asian, and I make bone marrow soup at home. Bone marrow floats majestically and has a much different consistency. And bone marrow doesn't give you a headache or dry your mouth like MSG has been chronicled to do. When I first reviewed this place, I was brand new to Yelp and brand new to differentiating quality from quantity. Value doesn't necessarily have an economic connotation with me now. The importance of value is directly related to quality of ingredients. This is a "quantity" type of place. There's a pho spot on La Sierra that's the best in Riverside. Look it up on Yelp. My favorite pho in the IE. Another one of those reviews where the stars are particularly generous due to the location. This isn't OC or LA, so I have different standards here. Pho ha has some of the best pho i've ever tasted, its too bad both their locations are a bit out of the way. The broth is really flavorful and not loaded up with MSG like other places. They also have some of my favorite bun thit nuong. Their noodles are slightly thinner, and its nice how you don't feel like you're just eating all noodle when you order it. The pork is super flavorful as well,and I love that they have an option with shrimp! Its tasty so order it :) Their bun bo hue is also very good. The noodles are always perfect, and i'm a huge fan of the broth as both this and their pho needs no doctoring. Im a broth purist, so I don't like loading up my food with lime juice and hoison sauce. I met my bud here for dinner last night. He said this is his favorite spot for Vietnamese food in Riverside. The interior was surprisingly clean and spacious. I liked that they turned up the air conditioning so it was nice and cool. I wasn't craving pho so I got their Diced beef steak with rice(#39). A platter of diced steak over caramelized onions came along a plate of rice and raw veggies. The meat was sweet and overly tender. Personally, I preferred the diced steak a block down at Pho Star Bowl. Better texture and overall flavor. My bud ordered pho and scarfed it down in minutes. Read horror stories on service here but it was decent. Servers came by regularly to refill our waters. Speaking of water. This place served the grossest water I've ever tasted in a restaurant. My fiancé and I went here the other night . When we got there we were quickly seated, but that's when it got bad.. It took them 10mins later to come give us a menu. Once we were ready we had to search for someone to take our orders. Normally we expect to wait 20 mins for our food but Then it was a 40min wait period for our food to come out, we were irritated and ready to leave. Once the food came out, they brought the wrong soup to him and he sent it back for the correct one. They didn't even bring us our drinks till half way through our meal. When this place first opened it was really quite good, seemed like something out of San Gabriel or Westminster. I was excited to finally have a good Pho place in town. The interior had plasma screens on the wall, a large menu, and it was super clean. Since then the appearance has gone done, and the food is a hit and miss. I've ordered the vegetarian Pho, chicken soup and the mixed beef Pho that all Pho restaurants are famous for. Each one has been good not great. Sometimes the broth is a bit oily with a strong scent of cinnamon and star anise. When I'm not in the mood for soup I usually order the spring rolls and a broken rice plate. Both are pretty tasty and worth a try. On the weekend there open till 1am and thats big news for Riverside. read more
