Came here post hike with my friend today and enjoyed a delicious lunch outside. At first I was a little reluctant to come here based on the lower reviews but my experience was really nice as far as food goes. If you want to eat outside at the tables, just tell them when you walk in. You'll order first at the counter, pay and then they'll bring out the food. The lady brought out waters and set up our table for us with the condiments tray and placemats, etc. The food came out in a nice amount of time and looked so beautiful and fresh. I don't recall the name of what my friend got but I may try it sometime. I think she said it was number 33 on the menu? I ordered the vermicelli dish with grilled shrimp and pork (one of my standard orders at Vietnamese restaurants outside of pho) and I really enjoyed it. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. It was the perfect post-hike refreshing meal that didn't make me feel heavy afterwards. Service was all good in that they set up the outside table for us and brought us waters and our meals, but like most pho places, it's more straight-forward/business so don't expect bubbly pleasantries. I ordered a carry out of Pho and beef fried rice. I paid $41.00. I check my food overtime I order carry out before leaving. They hardly gave me any noodles and the beef fried rice container was half filled up. I've eaten in the restaurant before and they gave me twice as much food when I dined in versus carry out. Can't think of a worse Vietnamese restaurant I've been to. Beef pho was very subpar, curry vermicelli was bland, and spring rolls tasted like they'd been sitting there all day..And echoing other comments about poor service, I was told by the male waiter that there was no WiFi when there was apparently a choice of WiFi for guess. To make the experience even more miserable, the female waitress was arguing with someone at the top of her lungs in the back and banging on the table. Just unbelievable. Ate here over the weekend and it was delicious. I looked at Yelp reviews and saw they were mixed but decided to try it for myself. Service was fast and friendly. Got the Combination Pho and it was good. Broth was flavorful and it hit the spot. Sliced beef was a little tough and somewhat chewy so I might skip adding it next time. The fried rolls were delish and came with plenty of fresh veggies. The pickled carrot slaw was delish as well. I didn't particularly care for the dipping sauces. I thought it was a little bland. I would come back again. I saw that they do to go orders but I have found that ordering Pho to go doesn't work for me. Broth never seems to get hot enough in the microI love having it there in person and this is much closer than going all the way to Westminster to our usual spot. Will bring my daughters here to try it. Glad I found this spot. Oh, and next time I'll get the large because it's only a dollar more. It's the broth that I like even more than the noodles. The food was okay. I've had better Vietnamese food and pricing in Garden Grove and Westminster. But why I'm writing this review is based upon the terrible service! It was not a busy weekday and no one checked on us at all. I expect more from an establishment in Irvine. Then, when we went to go pay up front, I gave the waitress my credit card and she said oh, if you pay in cash, we will give you a 10% discount off your bill. My brother in law said he will pay then since he had cash. The lady handed me back my card and I asked her if she swiped it. She said no. Lo and behold, next day I see a charge! I called the restaurant to dispute and reverse the charge but they never pick up their phone and when they do, oh...only the owner can reverse charges and the owner never called me back or was never there even with multiple calls Then I called my banking institution and they took care of my dispute immediately and also said the merchant never called them back. What a shady establishment! They should be embarrassed. I now tell all my friends and family to never go there and support a dishonest business. I ordered the pho tai sach which is rare steak and tripe. They are super generous with the tripe and noodles and the broth comes out piping hot with so much flavor! My fiancé got the bun Bo hue which is different than most other places but also full of flavor and spice if you're into that! We shared their egg rolls which were my favorite bc they wrap it in spring roll paper I think instead of egg wrap so the outside is really light but so so so crispy! 10/10 for this I would also recommend ordering the young coconut which I normally don't but it's so sweet and refreshing. They also cut it conveniently so you can easily scoop out the coconut meat! Of all the pho places I've tried in OC so far (including Michelin rated places) this is the one I keep coming back to the most. Their broth has the very distinct flavors of traditional Vietnamese spices, some days even overwhelmingly so, but it feels so healthy. Their noodles have a great bouncy chewiness that us Asians love, and it's not powdery feeling or rock hard like some other places can be. They do a great job skimming the fat oils from the broth to a perfect ratio where there's still tons of flavor but light enough that you can drink it forever and not feel gross. The meat and toppings all feel pretty standard but I absolutely love the broth and noodles here. My service experience has always been fast and friendly as well. read more

The pho broth is different than normal i cant really figure it out but its really good. The banh xeo is decent not my top 10. The vermicelli is good as well, felt like the pork wasnt that flavorful but the eggrolls are like taro filling which was good! The spring rolls here are literally the perfect amount of everything. Let me start by saying that I am Vietnamese American. I grew up around Vietnamese food, my mom and my family make it all the time so I would say I know what makes a good dish. That being said, homemade food and restaurant food don't really fare the same. For me, homemade food has always tasted better than eating out at a Vietnamese restaurant. Most of the great Vietnamese restaurants are in Garden Grove/Westminster so if you're in Irvine, don't expect too much. I was like no let's just give it a shot and so I chose this place! I got Mi Hoanh Thanh (Egg Noodle Soup with Wontons and Chicken) togo and total came out to ~$11. Mm.. so on first taste, the soup is not right lolol. They pretty much used pho broth. This soup is supposed to be with a pork broth.. This is a big no! The bowl itself was not terrible but was just not right. I'll just save my cravings for when I have homemade food or get it in Garden Grove/Westminster.. at least I gave them a shot! Pho Ha Noi is a decent Vietnamese spot to visit whenever you're craving a nice, warm bowl of pho. The spring rolls and rice dishes (I usually get the chicken) are also pretty good. Restaurant is quick to answer the phone for takeout orders, and service is pleasant for dine in as well. Plenty of seating inside and I've never had to wait long to get seated, but if there is a wait there are plenty of spots to grab a drink or shop around in the plaza (Starbucks and Kohl's for example). read more

I used this place only because they were on DoorDash. I got chicken pho. When the order arrived, I didn't get chicken pho broth, but instead they gave me beef broth. I called the restaurant to let them know that they'd made a mistake. I was told that all of their pho comes with the beef broth, unless you specifically ask for the chicken broth you won't get it. I have never heard of such nonsense. The kitchen staff obviously made a mistake. Just own up to it people. Don't insult my intelligence by telling me some BS story. The reason that I'm making a big deal out of a container of beef broth, it's because I can't eat red meat, and it's also the principle of it. With all this being said, the person that I spoke with on the phone did offer to "exchange" the broth if I take it back to them. I'm in Tustin and they are in Irvine, not worth the drive. To say that I can come back years later to update this review is crazy to me. My past review was really focused on their pho, which I have been spoiled by homemade recipes by my family, but since moving out, Vietnamese food doesn't come without a price these days. The plaza has changed so much and yet, Pho Hanoi still stands and my feelings about this place has been much more positive than expected with repeat visits. It gives me a bit of peace knowing that I can find Vietnamese food within walking distance from home! It's often what we do when we needed to get our steps in and enjoy the fresh air. We usually make our way in every time bf gets a craving for pho, which is at least once a month. He has his regular order with a side of extra raw beef while I change my options up based on what I'm feeling that day. So far, everything I have tried has been spectacular and really hit the spot. From banh xeo, com tam dac biet, mi hu tieu to bun thit nuong (soupless), I can gladly say I would order these again without hesitation. The menu really covers a good amount of dishes from rice to noodles, so plenty of options. Now, if only they had banh beo or banh mi, I would be over the moon! read more

Their Pho is clearly overloaded with MSG. My friend and I both got huge headaches, stomach pain, and our hearts racing after eating their food. After a day at the water park we decided to stop by. Beef pho was ok. Beef had a very strong taste, but soup was good. Also had spring rolls, and they were ok. The pickled? Carrots inside did not fit well with the spring rolls. Service was honestly horrible. 5 seconds after we sat, a waiter stood next to our booth at a table nearby. Didn't approach us to greet us or anything he just kinda looked at us then looked away. We then asked for waters all around and quickly look through the menu to see what we wanted. Kinda just felt a bit rushed. After we got our food, we never were asked if we were ok to see if we needed anything else. When we were done we had to ask for the tab to then be told we had to just walk up to the front. Never again saw the waiter until we were walking back to leave a tip. The ambiance was a bit on the quiet side, kind of lonely. Not sure if it was because it was during the week at around 7:40. If you're looking for a place to sit, order quick, eat and get out without good service or attention this is the place for you. Pho bowls come out pretty quick. Food is super greasy... Would not recommend the egg roll. Barely any meat inside just oil.... My husband ordered a meat dish was super oily. Rice was super hard. Used pho soup to help soften it .. Pho was mediocre and mine was warm...eek . Service was horrible. Lady looked pist the entire time. When we asked for scissors to cut the noddle for our toddler, she gave us the dirtiest look. I would've appreciate a no versus that look. We were scared to ask for additional high chair and got it ourselves lol. We came out here to avoid a drive down to Tustin or lake forest.
