WORST SERVICE. I've been here many times and I was really disappointed today. I usually ordered Pho with only fatty brisket and well done flank, however, when my order arrived today I saw a well done flank and rare steak. I kindly asked one of the server what kind of meat it was and she said a well done flank and rare steak. So, I told her it was not what I ordered and asked to change it. She then called another server who originally took my order to take my dish back. However, the second server came and told me that I have the correct order and insisted me to keep the dish. I informed her that it was not what I wanted but she raised her voice at me and would not take the dish back, plus, blaming the first server that she did not know what she was talking about. Came in on a rainy evening and was sat down immediately. The staff was so attentive and the food was so good. The restaurant is big so it can seat really large parties or smaller if necessary I got the seafood pho and my boyfriend got the number 11. Both were perfect! We also got the pork & spring roll mix! They had all the fixings like soy sauce, siracha, and the sweeter sauce. I looked this place up on yelp before we came and saw it only had 3 stars. It's really upsetting because when you read the 1-3 star reviews they're for invalid reasons like, "not enough basil" or "soup not salty enough"!? I once came here three times in one week. That is how good the pho is. I always get the rare beef pho and it never disappoints. The broth is consistently good, it never tastes too watery or too oily. The noodles are perfect and you can tell they use quality meat. The restaurant itself is small and cute, and it gets pretty busy on a cold day. I've also tried one of their steak and rice dishes which was also delicious. The meat was so soft it basically melted in my mouth like butter. Service was amazing! I'll start off with that. Guy at the counter was super helpful and nice. Service was also very fast! Only issue is I paid an extra 5$ to add shrimp to my meal, and there was only 3 tiny little shrimps added. Kind of let down as I paid extra because I was very hungry. Food quality was great though! This is one of the closest pho restaurants in my area, so my family go here occasionally. Quantity wise, they give you a lot in a small/regular bowl. I am already full half way down the bowl. Quality wise, it's not the best pho. I've had better pho. The soup is plain to me. And that's the most important part to making a great bowl of pho - tasty soup! I do love their smoothies! FOOD // I personally got the PHO TAI CHIN NAM as this is my go-to pho order. Honestly, I thought it was pretty good? I usually order a large but ask for less noodles so that I get more meat. However, I noticed that I didn't receive that much meat in my soup. The broth was flavorful before putting in all my sauces and lime and I would probably get it again! I also had the DAU HU CHIEN (fried tofu). I didn't expect it to be the soft tofu. It was still good (and came out extremely hot - be aware) but just know this going into it so you're not surprised like me. SERVICE // I have an advantage since I speak Vietnamese. Only some of the staff members here speak English but it should be pretty easy to navigate as the menu has English on it. The service is VERY Westminster-esque. If you are unfamiliar with this, this means that the bill may be slow to get, they may seem extremely direct with their interactions with you, and they may spend most of their time talking to each other in a booth or in the kitchen. Food Quantity: This seems to vary with who is in the back prepping the food. But there are times when i want more meat and other time i want more broth, so this isn't a problem for me. For the price, the area, and the aesthetic, there is no reason why i should be upset. It is all very good. Service: This area also varies, some workers do not speak english very well so they can come off as a tad rude. But when you remember the language barrier, then simply ask someone else. it will not hurt. They are super sweet and will reciprocate kindness. Pho restaurants seem to be popping up everywhere like Starbucks. Most in existing strip malls where they try to decorate to hide all the imperfections of the building. I get it as they are trying to keep startup costs low, but it impacts the environment. Pho Ha is a breath of fresh air in this regard. It's clean, feels new, has modern furniture that does feel like it was bought a Costco or a restaurant cleaning house, and has the service to match. The place was empty when we arrive and a gentleman immediately got up to help us. We picked wherever we wanted to sit. The food is pretty descent. My Vietnamese dining partner thoroughly enjoy it and gave it a thumbs up - which is rare for him. I personally keep things simple and I had the BBQ Pork and rice. It was excellent. The portion was just right for me. Service was spot on. Not overbearing, but showed up at just the right time when we needed something. My only recommendation is to pull the taped 8 1/2 x 11 pictures of a drink that was obviously printed in your office off your walls. The art work and décor is very nice and relaxing. Those cheapened the look and feel. Or if you want to post the, head down to the 99 cent store and get a couple cheap frames. It would look better than scotch tape. read more

It is the cleanest Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to, and it made me feel a bit nervous on the food, since some of the best Vietnamese food I've had were in the dirtiest of restaurants. Following Asian rules, don't be afraid to raise your hand, speak your mind, do a little dance, whatever it takes to get their attention because outside of your initial order, they won't come to you unless you make them. Food: 3 stars The food here surprised me. As I've come to find out, the smellier the restaurant is, the better the pho. Pho Hana didn't really have a lingering stank so it worried me; however, their pho was better than I expected. They are generous with the amount of meat they give you in the pho, and the bowls are much bigger than you'd expect. When it comes to their spring rolls, they are big and flavorful. Price: 3 stars The pricing here is more expensive than most Vietnamese restaurants you'll find in Westminster or Los Angeles. They definitely aimed their price to fit the pocketbooks of the area so the prices are about a dollar more than most Vietnamese restaurants. Still, spending less than $7 for a good size bowl of pho is still a good bargain. Conclusion Whether getting away from the cold, rainy weather or simply meeting friends up for a quick meal, Pho Ha has got it going on. The food is good. Maybe that's all that really counts. But I am rating this restaurant only 3 out of 5 because they really need to step up their game in cleanliness. The water cup they brought me had some sort of food particles floating in the bottom, and the ceiling right above where I was sitting is covered in dust balls. I've included a picture for reference. I literally felt the need to hover over my food to protect it from the ceiling's dust particles from falling down into my food every time there was a gust of wind from the front door opening. I really hope they get a better cleaning crew. Both my pho and my smoothie was delicious. Will I come back?
