A solid Vietnamese restaurant! The service was prompt and the food came out quickly. There was plenty of options and everybody enjoyed what they ordered

Had brunch plans in Brea and was craving Asian food, so we found Pho Ha that was open early and had great food! Neighborhood spot, nothing fancy, just exactly what you expect and want. The rare steak pho was my favorite dish- pho is a hard dish to beat and mess up, and it came with not just a lot of noodles but meat. My next favorite were the pork rolls which were a huge portion of pork, veggie, and some crispy fried ingredient that provided the perfect crunch. As I'm writing this I'm craving another bite hahaha. The sizzling steak plate came with a lot of vegetables, salad, rice, and pickled daikon and carrot. This was the most expensive dish we ordered, but the steak felt too chewy and overcooked. We also ordered the banh khot appetizer, which is a dish I've never tried before but have always wanted to! I thought it was an egg dish, but was pleasantly surprised by the pancake texture and coconut flavor. We were so full by the time this dish came out, as they informed us the banh khot takes some time to prepare, but we still finished this entire spread. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd definitely come back to Pho Ha! Their menu is extensive and has all the Vietnamese classics so I'm excited to try :)

I really liked the food here - we stopped in here after a rainy day and needed Pho to warm up. The wait was a little long considering we waited the longest for Pho - I've been to several other places where the Pho comes out as soon as you order. I tried the chicken pho and the beef stir fry noodles. The beef dish was sooo flavorful, but some of the beef was a little tough. The pho tasted good and there was enough for leftovers. The workers were all kind and the place was very clean. They had a decent amount of people eating in there on this rainy day, so maybe that's why the food was a little slower for take out. The only other thing is it was kind of expensive! I spend $44 on broth and beef noodles that they classified as spaghetti noodles ... a little steep, but if you can swing it, it's still a tasty bite.

Food was amazing, sat down and got service quickly. Food was made quickly and was delicious. Had the springs rolls and the beef special. Quick eats but worth every bite. Highly recommend. Place is not too loud and distracting. Perfect quick date spot.

I come to Pho Ha once in a while due to work being close by. My go to order is a small bowl of #8 pho and spring rolls. The broth is always flavorful and comforting. The times I've dined in, you're greeted at the entrance and can choose any table or booth to sit in. The wait isn't very long and the food arrives in a timely manner.

Spring rolls has both shrimp And pork.

This isn't the best pho I've ever had but it hits the spot and the price is even better. I love that they give noodle and meat refills for a low price. The tendon in the pho is good quality- my favorite meat in pho is tendon so I always get this and usually it's not great quality but I loved the tendon here. I did not feel the rare steak was great quality tho. I liked how the spring rolls had both pork and shrimp. Not just one or the other. Also, every single patron in here was Asian - speaks volumes. Will return.

I moved here from Westminster (Little Saigon) and have been coming to this spot for over 10 years. This location consistently delivers some of the best service and Vietnamese food around. It even gets full approval from my brother, who's from Vietnam--so that says a lot. The wide variety of dishes keeps things exciting and lets you appreciate different flavors and parts of the culture. The restaurant is always clean and well-kept, even on the busiest days. Highly recommend.

Order #1 pho dac biet for $16.95. Pho was a little pricey. Soup was good. Parking in shared lot.

Very good food. Service was very fast and workers very polite. The overall environment of the place is very welcoming.

Very appreciative of the bun bo hue here. The broth is "cleaner" than more authentic BBH but still gets the job done. Service is okay, nothing extraordinary.

I went here with my friend for lunch and I'll say the food is pretty decent for the price. The restaraunt was clean, service was good, and there was no wait. However, I have definitely been to better Vietnamese places in SoCal. The Nem Nuong Cuon was delicious but the Com Tam was only ok. The meat was dry which threw off the dish for me. The portion size was good and it filled me up. I wouldn't order the dish again but I would maybe come back to try other dishes in the future if I'm in the area and craving Vietnamese food.

This place is wonderful !! I've been coming here for years to get my pho fix, but every plate has amazing flavor. The quality of the food is really great. Darren and Mindy are so friendly and provide great service, they always have a smile.

A GREAT VIETNAMESE PHỞ RESTAURANT!…read more For more than 10 years, we have been dining at Pho Tay Bac, and we keep coming back because their aromatic, light, flavorful phở is truly special. Many Vietnamese phở restaurants have similar menus, but Pho Tay Bac has something we haven't found anywhere else: Korean-style barbecued chicken, pork, and beef you can add to your dish. The meats are delicious and really set this restaurant apart. We once asked the owners about them and learned that they are a Korean family who prepare and serve their own tasty Korean-style barbecue meats. Their vegetables are always exceptionally fresh, too--and if you like some heat, watch out for those jalapeños! They can be wonderfully spicy. Of course, there is much more than phở. They also serve Vietnamese rice dishes, fresh spring rolls wrapped in translucent rice paper, and fantastic bánh mì sandwiches. Their egg rolls are crispy, with a simple but delicious filling. But for me, the phở remains the star. The broth is aromatic, light, and full of flavor--the kind of flavor that keeps bringing me back. The meatballs taste homemade and have what seems to me like a slight hint of sesame oil. I always enjoy dipping them in a mixture of sriracha and hoisin sauce. We often stop at Pho Tay Bac for lunch. The portions are generous, the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, and the family is always friendly and helpful. After more than a decade of visits, Pho Tay Bac remains one of our favorite places for a comforting and satisfying lunch. A wonderful family-owned restaurant and a GREAT place for Vietnamese phở!

And when they answer the phone they just say "Hello?" instead of saying the business name. I keep thinking I dialed the wrong number! A few months ago I ordered pho (takeout) and got home to see that they forgot the little bag of veggies, herbs, limes, sauces, etc!! It was so annoying to have to drive back to get it and the employee barely mumbled "sorry" in the same bored, nasal-y voice she answered the phone. They don't include sauces for the rice dishes; we have to ask for it and they only give 1. They used to automatically include at least 2 sauces. About a month ago my husband received the wrong order and had to drive back. And the last time I ordered the vermicelli dish, they forgot the chopped peanuts. Small detail but very noticeable while eating it. Some of the food is good but there have been times that it didn't taste as fresh - especially the shrimp and the egg in the fried rice.

The menu is also not as extensive as the regular Vietnamese pho places; just a handful of pho and a handful of rice bowl choices along with some interesting appetizers and rolls. Service was really good. I got recommendations from the cashier and she checked on us after food was delivered. We had a Beef Brisket Pho, Wagyu Beef Rice Bowl, Beef Tendon small plate, and Pork Patty Roll. The broth of the pho was good, sweet with depth. We love the beef tendon! It was so soft and tasted just like jello! The Wagyu beef rice bowl is like the Korean bibimbap, a lot of chopped veggie, a fried egg and beef. I couldn't tell if the beef is Wagyu or not, since the texture didn't stand out. The Pork Patty roll surprised me of how crunchy it was inside. The pork Patty is like the Vietnamese sweet sausage, I like it better than the regular Vietnamese spring roll. Overall a nice stop for lunch after the Nixon Presidential Library visit and it's only 0.3 miles away.

I've never had to add salt to pho just to make the broth taste like something. It was that bad. They advertise MSG-free broth that's simmered for 8 hours, but honestly, it tasted like they simmered boiling water for 8 hours and forgot to add the beef. The egg rolls were basically just filled with carrots, and the noodles were doughy and seemed undercooked. The service was great, but unfortunately the food was a complete miss. Never coming back.
