This use to be my favorite spot. Went there at night kinda busy. We sign in for a table 2 of us. Family of 3 comes in and signs in next. The waiter gives the table to the family of 3 first because they have a child and it was a bigger table. So effing what they need to wait just like everyone else no special treatment. I won't be coming back here agian sad because they have really good food but shitty service. read more

Now I have a place for Pho in north county. very tasty and reasonably priced, they could use more dining room seating. Prepare to wait for a table. Staff seemed to be overwhelmed each time I went there, could use a little customer relation management, but hey it's good food. read more

This place is terrible. I have been trying for 30 min to call and place a phone order and they are not answering the phone. They are always way understaffed and in way over their head. If you a lucky enough to get a table (typically a 30 to 40 min wait) then the Pho is good but it is not with the hassle when Kim's is close and equally amazing! read more

This place is DIRTY! Floors were so greasy my shoes were sliding, chairs were greasy and dirty. Staff could not have been less concerned. We ended up walking out before ordering and no one even noticed. I highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs! One star is too many! read more

Overall, totally amazing pho with great service! The food here is authentic and very popular with the locals. The atmosphere is comfortable but nothing special. It is all about the amazing pho! read more

Me, my husband and my daughter came in on a rainy, friday afternoon around 1pm-ish... theres a few people waiting to be seated. We waited bout 10mins, then we got the call.. time passed by and its been 20mins since we sat down, and no one has been to our table to take our orders.. yes, i understand it's busy that day but it seems like we wer invinsible. There were a few people got called to be seated right after us and I noticed that they got their orders in right before us. My husband finally waved to the server and said something! 1 min later this guy took our orders. I ordered some appetizer, and one of their fried rice. My husband ordered one of their rice dishes.. so, the waiting game is on.. we waited and waited and waited.. me and my husband were just having some conversation and we noticed that they havent served anything to us, not even the appetizer. It's been 30mins since we ordered our food!!! How long does it take to fry some appetizer?! Or cook some fried rice? I turn around and looked over by the kitchen/cashier area and saw the server who got our orders..I saw him looked at me and looked at our table.. FINALLY!!!! He went to our table, like hello!? Dont you keep up with your orders and make sure that everyone got their food??! He apologized because he said the MACHINE is not working.. so we have to order AGAIN... So we waited for 30mins for nothing?!? And what machine is broken.. he said the COMPUTER is broken and it HAPPENS ALL THE TIME!!! My husband said, isnt you take orders and write down on the paper?!how is it gonna be on the machine.. he explains that they do take orders and write down on the paper and they put it in the computer after, so the cook can read it inside the kitchen...somehow our orders didnt appear on the kitchen computer and it got lost..we told him that we waited for 30mins and we are so hungry and you come in here telling us that the machine broke..and our orders didnt went thru?!?! Thats the lamest excuse!!!!! so the server told us.. "ill make sure this is the first one that the cook will do..and ill give you a discount on your tab, and while you wait for the food ill bring some appetizer for free." Me and my husband wanted to just walk out and just go to a different place but we decided to stay since its raining and its already around 2pm and super hungry..So then, we repeated our orders again to this server.. (ughh i guess!!!) We got some spring rolls to start with(for free), then we finally got our orders.. i guess it only took about 5mins or so to get all the food in our table... This is the worst customer service I've received on this place!!! I've been here a few times and i always give people another chance.. but this one is not acceptable!! Not coming back for the lamest and worst customer service! Sorry but this place sucks now!! I rather go drive 15 to 20mins to miramesa where i get good customer service!!!!! read more

I have been going to this restaurant since the day it opened. I've probably been there 30+ times. Unfortunately, there aren't any other real options in Encinitas for Vietnamese Food. I will say the food is good and that's what kept me going back. The service has been and continues to be absolutely horrible. The staff is kind but completely untrained and ownership/management has a blind eye to the way the business is being run. Today ( my last day there) 15 minutes to have a waiter ask for the order, then after initial appetizers came in, empty plates sat there being stared at by staff, drinks also empty obviously waiting to be refilled. Entrees came after a longer wait, still with multiple plates and empty glasses still there, one entree came (was supposed to be chicken/beef and came out seafood.) The other didn't come out for 10 minutes after. I returned the incorrect order asked for a to-go box, paid and kindly left without a bad word. I do not want this to discourage people from going but I hope the owner sees this review and change their ways. Lastly, I've gently said something directly to them in the past so this is not coming from left field. read more

Great vibe, great service and delicious food. They also just got a beer/wine license and have good beer on tap. Love this spot!

What a blessing !!! finally...descent asian food in Encinitas!! I come here at least once a week and the pho is on par with any place on convoy! The services is excellent and great value! try the fried calamari...best I've had... wow! Sorry Kim's off of the 101...but your days are numbered! read more

Pho-Ever used to have premium beef w/no fat for the #12 (rare beef), but seem to have moved to a lower cost meat - even the grandkids had complained about some of the gristle. You absolutely cannot beat the flavor of the broth, the noodles are great and they are very generous w/the basil, jalapenos and bean sprouts. We always order the egg rolls which are very good. have also tried some of their non-Pho dishes which are excellent as well. Service is always attentive. Just wish they would go to the better rare beef. Would be willing to pay more! read more

We were visiting from San Francisco and came here from a friend's recommendation. It was spot-on delicious!!! It's one of the most delicious pho broths we have tasted. And the vegetarian fresh rolls were super yummy! To top it off, their customer service was very nice. It's a young crew, but they had their hospitality down like pros!! We will definitely return when we're back visiting the area. read more

This place is busy at dinner but man can the servers, and especially the guy working the counter, multi-task. The pho is brilliant and just as good for take out! read more

I loved this place, but it seems that their success might have gotten to them. Service was very attentive previously, but it seems that there's been a slew of young people that lack a genuine warmth to serve. Plop food down, and see ya later pal! No one asks, "Is there anything else I can get you?" Pho soup was cold, to add insult to injury, even the toppings were cold, bean sprouts and basil didn't even cook. And if you eat pho as often as I do, you know temperature is critical to pho. The soup also tasted different from previous visits. This time it was tasteless. I'm not sure who is running this location, but it's definitely gone down hill in the past few months. read more

I gave this place a lot of chances and waited patiently for the service to improve. I chalked it up to it being a new place and gave them time to get their act together. Every visit was a frustrating experience. Food was pretty good which kept me coming back. Problems ranged from getting the wrong food to waiting 20 minutes to even be acknowledged to no water refills. Food that takes over 30 minutes for a bowl of soup. Spring rolls which is an appetizer comes out half way through the meal...etc. So about a month ago my husband and I decided to try and minimize problems by only doing to go orders. The last 2 times the chicken pho was so salty that we could not eat any of the broth. And to make matters worse my bag of sprouts and basil had a long black hair in it, which totally made me loose my appetite. Such a poorly run location, so sad. I am such a lover or pho and had such high hopes when they opened. No organization and no management. read more

Great food and good service. So glad I found this place! The Pho and spring rolls were delicious!

Unfortunately the food lacks flavor. Service is fine, presentations is good, cleanliness is good. Just lacks flavor.

Very spicy, but only if you ask for it. Very tasty. Service is great. Would go again.

Pho-king great! Happy to have Pho so close, and great quality, especially since they've only been open a week. The owner was there and very hands-on, saying hello to me between trips bringing in fresh produce. I had a bit left from my large bowl of noodles with steak and brisket, and it was still tasty the next day. Looking forward to trying the rice dishes. read more

5 starsI save and give only ever 10 blue moons. This place has carefully prepared food, that tastes great. Excellent sauces, extremely caring and attentive wait staff. My party had many specific needs, allergies to fish, a vegetarian, one person is allergic to wheat. The waitress, Charliene, took her time to check with the kitchen. With her help, we navigated the menu and had a joyful meal. The food was brought out from the kitchen as it was ready. Everything was hot and made with family care. This was great daily food at a great value. read more

First time at this new location in Encinitas. Very busy with half waiting for to go food. Seated quickly and service was good. Seafood soup was fresh and savory. The wife had the spring rolls and the egg rolls, each with their own dipping sauces and they were excellent. We also tried the Chicken Pho and the Seafood Pho and they were succulent! Will definitely recommend and come back. read more

Love their sizzling fish. Just wish it weren't too crowded all the time but its because people want "real" food vs. all the same restaurant chains around us. read more

Came here for my first time when my mom and I were sick and picked up pho for my brother, mom and I. I have only had pho a handful of times, and there are not a ton of spots in Carlsbad and La Costa that have pho. I got the brisket, and filet mignon pho and same with my mom. My brother got the shrimp. It was great! The guy at the front desk was so kind and even offered to help me with it to my car, since my hands were full. It was super busy inside which must mean theyre doing well! I am excited to have a good place close to home to go for pho!! read more

I've eaten here at least five time since they've opened. A bit over priced, but this is Encinitas, so this is to be expected. Taking this into consideration, not very much bang for your buck. Even with four servers, they always seem overwhelmed, regardless of how busy they are. I believe there is no harm intended, but some of the staff's questions/comments to customers are a bit too friendly for my taste. Their food is good, but don't expect to get it in a timely manner. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you are on a time crunch. read more

I ordered the first night soup on the menu, bf ordered the beef stew noodle soup. We both loved our meals. With all the veggies, lime, different kinds of sauce, they tasted great. The waiters were very helpful and friendly. Our noodle soup came up pretty fast. I'm sure we'll come back very soon to try their rice bowls and other things. read more

This place is great. The food and price didnt blow me away but the reason it gets 5 stars is because the staff and atmosphere are excelent. The owner was my server and he was very patient with my parents who didnt know anything about Vietnamese food. He was also very attentive during the meal and the food was at our table very fast. Will be going back soon but not with my lame parents haha. read more

The best thing that's happened to the food selections available in Encinitas in years.

This is my favorite Pho place in Encinitas. We order take out once a week and it's always awesome.

I've been waiting pho a month and a half and they finally opened today! Encinitas really needed this place (already better than Kim's and I've only been here once). No alcohol license yet but they have applied! Great menu, great prices and great food- I am definitely going to be a regular! read more

Have been a "Pho Ever Groupie" for the past couple of years - specifically the Melrose, Vista location. With predetermined contempt - I hesitated to try the new location as anything but the original wouldn't compete..."Wrong." Don / owner use to be the chef at the Melrose location and hasn't skipped a beat or flavor. I've tried several dishes with the = Special 11 & Garlic Chicken Wings being my favorites. Understand some of the reviews knocking the staff - but will give a mulligan as it's a new busy place working out some kinks...Wish Don & his dad / Tam the Best... read more

If you're looking for a bomb pho and hot Asian guys, then this is the spot. A friend and i decided to check it out while coming back from TJ we live in the LA area. The pho here is insanely good. You can tell that making it is a 20 hour process by how many different flavors you can taste in the broth. This is probably the best pho I have ever had. Am SO happy that they made their way to Encinitas! The Bun was so fresh and good that I was licking the bowl at the end. Will be dining here for years to come. read more
