After sitting in a seminar all day I was getting really hungry and craving some Vietnamese Pho noodle soup. Looked at some Yelp reviews and found this place not to far from the hotel. The place is located in a shopping plaza and pretty big inside with a laid back casual ambience. Everyone looked very in tune to their bowls of soup and all you could hear is the slurping going on. This is common and a very good sign in a Vietnamese restaurant as quirky as it may sound. Diving into the menu I noticed they had a lot more to offer than what I'm used to seeing back home in Naples, FL. They had a wide assortment of Banh Mi sandwiches and had me super excited! I had the grilled pork Banh Mi sandwich served on a French Roll with picked vegetables , butter and fish sauce. Reminded me of home and really delicious. We also had the Spring Roll filled with pork, shrimp, rice vermicelli and herbs served with a side of peanut sauce. We then moved onto the amazing Pho and ordered the XL Pho Special that came packed with brisket, rare beef, beef meatball, tripe and tendon along with a side of herbs. The broth was so savory and you could tell it's been slow cooked for hours providing such depth of flavor! We were quite happy with the overall experience and had a lot of staff members making sure your well taken care of. I especially appreciated the reasonable and affordable prices usually seen in bigger cities unlike where I live that charges double the price. They also serve multiple authentic chili sauces like garlic chili sauce and hot chili oil that taste much better than the Sriracha. The XL Pho Special $9.57, Spring Roll $2.95 and Banh Mi sandwich $3.85. Yes, those prices had me putting on my reading glasses to make sure it was correct as I couldn't believe it! Highly recommend this place and with the affordable prices, it allows you to venture out and try more items without breaking the bank! read more

Doesn't look like much when you walk by, but inside is surprisingly big and beautifully decorated. Sadly, the inside is in desperate need of dusting and cleaning. The server was very polite, and was ready with recommendations. I'm not an easy customer when it comes to Vietnamese food. I'm allergic to sesame and peanut, and I don't eat beef. Still, the server did a good job of making recommendations, even if she did have to come back and ask me to get something else when she checked on the use of sesame. The cha gio were ok. A lot of wrapper, but not a lot of filling - making for a very crispy roll. The chicken pho was also ok. The broth was bland, but with some lime, basil, etc was decent. Banh mi rating only! On my way out of Dallas, I decided to stop by this place to order a few banh mi while we wait at the airport. I asked for everything in the banh mi and assumed it will be toasted for us. I got the pork banh mi and a few others got beef and chicken. They were dry, I know they gave us nuoc mam, but I don't think banh mi need nuoc mam. I'm sure they're known for other foods. So if you get it, make sure you ask them to toast the bread before they put the veggies in. They were quite busy when we arrived, they were really nice and attentive. read more

Literally no complaints and exactly what you'd expect for a Vietnamese place. Extensive menu (pho, vermicelli, appetizers, banh mi, and other Viet dishes), plenty of parking, exactly average service, and sizable portions (and I eat a lot!!) Genuine Vietnamese food here. I've been in Dallas for a couple of weeks and was really missing my favorite pho place in Tulsa, so I found this gem on this wonderful app of ours, and thought I'd give it a go! I was surprised how clean and modernized it was inside, and to say it was busy is putting lightly. Although they were busy they still got my order out (to go) in ten minutes as promised. The staff was super courteous, and the girl behind he counter was able to assist me and answer questions even with fifteen people standing in line to pay. The pho stock is very tasty, and I was actually saddened by how much sauce I elected to throw in, but it was still very good with a decent low, but noticeable heat (adjust with the jalapeños they provide). I also tried the beef brisket just before I threw everything together (they package that separate from the broth so they clearly know that they have a good product) and it was VERY tasty and not chewy at all! The vegetables were fresh even with my long car ride back to the hotel, and the food nice and hot! The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I asked if there was siracha sauce in the bag and she confirmed, however, there wasn't upon arriving back at the hotel. No harm, I'll check before leaving next time. Great place! The Well-Brisket Pho and Vermicelli with BBQ Pork are my go to from the menu at Pho Empire. The staff are always nice, quick and attentive.

I dined here with a few of my friends who were craving pho and freshly wrapped spring rolls. You can't beat the prices and portion size for the amount of food you receive. Where I currently live, a bowl of pho is $13 regardless what kind of meat you get and the fresh spring rolls are $7-$9. I'm really happy that I was able to enjoy a home-cooked meal that was good and priced fairly. If I ever have a layover in DFW, this is a place that I will be stopping by. read more

I was looking for a ramen restaurant and sadly I was informed by the cashier that they did not serve ramen (I should have checked first) however I was not disappointed. I ordered the vegetable egg Noodle soup which is K2 on the menu. The broth was delicious! There was an ample portion of fresh vegetables. I guess they put tofu and some other type of bean curd (with black spots) in this and I picked them out. I was simply unaccustomed to the flavor and it was strange to me. The fried onions and fresh herbs made this dish. They were very flavorful. The restaurant had a bit of an offputting smell on the inside but I knew it came from some of the dishes they prepared. Nice, hot, and tasty! We had a really good pho experience although mom thought that the chicken and vegetables plate was just okay. The appetizers were yummy and the different pho broths were all delicious. We think we arrived during a shift change because the service was a little sparse but maybe next time it will be better. Oh and it's really inexpensive. I think 3 of us at with appetizers for less than $50 and we left full. read more

Pho Empire is a pretty ok place to get your fix of VIetnamese food. They have a wide selection of food on their menu to pick from which includes bahn mi, pho, bun etc. as well as boba tea/smoothies. Their portions are generous for the pricing. The only negative thing I would say is that the pho broth is not too flavorful. Other than that the food does the job to knock one meal out of the day. The servers were really nice and attentive to our party of 9 people. They refilled our waters and brought our food relatively fast. I've heard about Pho Empire from several colleagues, and decided on a whim to try it out on the way to DFW International on a Sunday. I knew that I was going to require the order to be a take out one, so my expectations weren't terribly high (nor low) for this restaurant. For starters, the restaurant appears to be quite larger than it seems to be from outward appearances. This is a good thing! I noticed several families of 8-9 members having Sunday brunch, to which the tables weren't joined or jumbled together. There was also an additional room for private gatherings located on the right side of the restaurant. Further, there was a small courtyard area that contained a small fountain and medium-sized hot tub type of structure (hard to describe). Looked nice, as well as unique. You don't see this sort of set up at many Vietnamese restaurants. Reminded me of a small palace on the inside, in a way. Now, the food. The menu choices seem to be varied, as well as sufficient. I'm more of a soup person, so I did have the expectation of seeing such favorites as a Nam Viet or other Brisket type of soup. I chose the latter this time. The soup was prepared within 10 minutes and placed in a large paper bag with two sets of chopsticks. While I received the plum sauce, I was slightly disappointed that I didn't receive the traditional red spicy sauce (forgot the name). While the guy at the counter seemed to be more than accommodating by offering me reasonable upsells of drinks and ice cream, the female that received my payment looked a bit disinterested in being at the restaurant. Oh well, sometimes you have a bad day. No biggie with regard to Miss Frumpy Face. I wound up eating my soup an hour later due to making other stops along the way into DFW (pain in the a** entering from Highway 114, FYI). I was quite amazed that the soup was still hot, which was evident that the kitchen took great care in preparing it for transport. Normally, I would have to heat up soup after 20 minutes for some reason. Not today. Overall, I could learn to love this place whenever I'm in Irving by Northgate Street. So glad that the Empire didn't "strike back" later that evening via the use of Pepto Bismal. Thank you, Pho Empire! read more

We were seated quickly and of course we knew actually what we wanted to order. We had the Been combination Pho and also pork & shrmp spring rolls. It was good Pho I must admit. However I have had better. The prices are decent and even a littler cheaper than other restaurants that I have visited... I will return because as I stated it was good. Vietnamese food is my go to food so anytime I can find other locations that offer good dishes... I'm there.... If in the area and have to have my fix of Pho I will stop by. Anyone who knows me knows I've been back in Irving for years now. I have recently been exposed to super-high quality Ramen down in Austin and as much as I've tried I haven't found a GREAT ramen place in Irving. However, the Pho Empire has an excellent Vietnamese equivalent. The Pho Bo' Empire soup is so good. When you get it to go they separate everything. Get to your destination quick so the broth is still hot enough to cook your ingredients. Make sure you get everything in the bowl before you add the piping hot broth. The delicious beef sections are mixed with the noodles and the sprouts are mixed with the basil, jalapeño and lime. If you prefer spicy make sure you ask for chilli oil or hot sauce. I forgot to ask for it tonight but I had plenty at home so not a big deal. There's something about a high quality Asian soup that lifts the spirit beyond a good flavor and satisfying fullness. It's almost like getting slightly high. We also got a couple Bahn Mi sandwiches and I always ask for an extra $1 of meat. It's not much but makes a difference. These are so tasty. I haven't had anything like them since I lived in Seattle. Michelle absolutely loves the freshly rolled shrimp spring rolls. The ladies behind the counter are so kind and happy. It's such a pleasant experience compared to most these days. read more

Pretty good pho, bun, and rice dishes, and a really nice selection on the menu of several "chef's specialties" that I have not tried. It is a nice open restaurant, and I have always had good service, which is a little different that your typical pho house, which is minimal service at best. This is my go-to for take-out when I'm eating at a weird hour, or need a little snack. They have great roasted (not fried) chicken wings, the tasty BBQ pork (or grilled chicken) sandwiches on french bread, and reliable spring rolls. Order all 3, and you're out $8.50, and have left-overs! Probably one of the more unique things about this restaurant is the huge list of drinks/desserts. All types of coffees, teas, shakes .... a ton to try. I often run in for a to-go Chè c Bit - a combination of white beans, red beans, mung bean paste, red tapioca, green jelly in coconut milk, and a touch of ground peanuts served with crushed ice.
