I ordered the empire pho with a water and wasn't impressed at all. Actually, more disappointed than anything. My first water came out with what looked like hardened fat floating on top. Not sure how the server even missed that. Pho came out really quick but the cuts of meats weren't good at all. Description makes it sound good but it ain't. Ate here around 1 so it was still kinda busy from lunch rush and we were sat at a dirty table the girl wiped with flimsy napkins. Now I know it's busy but that is a very bad first impression for me. I've worked at restaurants and you need to spray sanitizer then wipe the table (preferably with a towel too). However I did check the bathrooms and they were very clean and new so that was a better sign. I heard their food was really tasty and wanted to try it. Good sign it's busy too, means more fresh food! I have tried several pho restaurants in Irving and Las Colinas and by far Pho Empire is my favorite, the cost and amount of food that they serve is great. The service is consistent with any other restaurant, some days are better than others. The food is delicious!!! My personal favorite is the P12 and P25. And for Vegetarians and Vegans they have a whole section for you, and or you can create your own plate. If you are ever in the area please try it! You won't be disappointed! I was really looking forward to eating here. I love noodles and pho so I couldn't wait to try it. First of all, nice restaurant with good decor. We went on a Saturday night after 8pm. They must have been busy before we got there; there were a couple of dirty tables, they had to wipe our table down when we got to it, and the condiments were not fully stocked. I did like the fact that they had real chop sticks not the wooden ones. We ordered the Khai vi dac biet appetizer. This was a great choice because I was able to sample a variety of appetizers. Everything was good. I never had spring rolls before, and thanks to Pho Empire, I like them now. I also had pho noodle soup #P13. I'm glad I got a small bowl. I didn't really care for it, I had to keep adding red peppers and other things just to make it taste ok. Poor service. When the man brought my soup out I asked him if it came with the add in ingredients. He said yes but I never received them. So I'm sitting there while my food was getting cold, waiting for a waitress to come around so I can ask her for it. I like pho bowls so I might go back to try something different. We came here on a Thursday evening and it was surprisingly empty, despite the good reviews. The restaurant was nicely decorated however and our waitress quickly seated us, where we proceeded to peruse the enticing menu. We decided to start off with pork spring rolls and egg rolls, which arrived very quickly. The egg rolls were decent but I thought the pork in the spring rolls was slightly tough. Next came our soups. I had the bun ca (fish noodle) soup, which I thought was just alright. The fish was good and there was plenty of it, but the broth was just okay and not as flavorful as others I've had. My friend's spicy beef broth though was really good (even though it wasn't actually spicy lol). I was full by the end but still had room for a delicious lychee smoothie! Overall this isn't someplace I'd go out of the way for, but if I'm in the area I wouldn't mind trying it out again. read more

Always delicious. I always get the regular sized pho, it is more than I can eat. This time I ordered some grilled pork spring rolls as an appetizer. My expectation was to still a nice little "toast" on the rice paper. Nope, when they arrived there was no toast to the paper. What I realized was the pork was grilled! Lol! I'm indifferent with this place right now. We picked up our order to go. I waited for about 5 minutes before one of the three people at the desk acknowledged me. The broth was really good and seasoned but they skimmed on the meat. I ordered the mixed pho but got one piece of each protein. I didn't like the amount of noodles. I felt like there could have been more. My wife ordered the shrimp and rice noodles but the shrimp was over cooked and also there were 4 pieces. Great environment for a family dinner. Kids got small pho, hubby got a large rare steak pho, and I got the fried pork plate with shredded pork. I usually never leave bad reviews but this is now the 5th time theyve gotten our order wrong. We always get the p28 and p30 pho with an order of spring rolls - please no pork. The first 4 times they messed up and still left the pork in the spring rolls so i would take the L. This time when I called to order i very politely explained that they had messed up the last few times and it wasnt a big deal but to please PLEASE not include pork in tonight's spring roll order. I picked up our food, drove 22 minutes home and realized. They did it again. Spring rolls with tons of pork. This weather called for pho!!! My friend was just getting out of work so I looked up the closest option for both of us which happened to be the highest ranked pho spot in Irving. I am not a pho person I repeat I do not normally eat pho. I have tried it a number of times up in Maine where I went to school but I never liked the broth so I stopped trying it. This was my first pho experience in Dallas and I am so happy I did. The broth is the thing that matters to me most for pho and this one was exactly what I wanted! I got the P27 which is Pho with brisket and flank and it was awesome. I did add some of the dipping sauces and bean sprouts but only because they are what my boyfriend usually puts on his. I almost ate the entire thing I'd say 95% was gone. The broth was savory, the beef and brisket were cut in long strips and tender. I enjoyed the freshness of the cilantro and bean sprouts as well. I also ordered some egg rolls which were crispy and the dipping sauce compliment the flavor completely. I was so happy with this dish and the service was great. Our service was very polite and well spoken. There was also another server who came by periodically to fill our waters. I wonder if this place is family owned because honestly this was pho heaven.
