Yipeee I found this amazing place! It is so close to my house and it is a HIDDEN GEM! I have eaten here twice in a week and once they delivered to my house (3 miles away) and it was just as good as in the restaurant--maybe better cause I was in my PJs. My favs (so far!) Chicken curry Pho (served with the most giant fresh basil leaves, bean sprouts, jalapeños, cilantro) Chicken Basil flat noodle Fried rice with tofu and veg (now I am a friend rice snob and this was some of the best I have had) Shrimp fried egg roll (so yummy!) Pad Thai (this was made with flat noodles and I would request rice noodle next time) I can't wait to try more stuff. I am so glad I found this place! I consider myself a heavy pho eater. I have probably had pho at a dozen different locations and this place might have hit number 3 or 4. I had the shrimp spring rolls, combination pho, and the tapicoa with coconut milk here tonight and it was all great. My friend had the spicy beef pho and i had some of her dish as well. The food was great and service was just as good. Very good prices for a pho place and I would recommend this place for anyone in the area. Our go to when craving Vietnamese food. We've had their Spring Rolls, Bahn Mi Sammie's, and Pho Bowls several times. Most recently we tried the Tofu Spring Rolls as well as the Tofu & Vegetable Pho. Really enjoyed the egg rolls, and the Curry Pho, I was skeptical when I ordered the Curry Pho, but honestly it was soooo good I would definitely recommend it. It was really packed when I was there so I didn't feel as though the service was great because it took a while to get my order in, but once I placed my order my food came out fairly quickly. The pho and food is good but the service is terrible. It is raining lightly outside and the Owner made a rude comment about my baby not being covered up but he is covered and I just walked 4 feet from the car to the door. When we moved to the area I knew I'd have to try it and being a Pho connoisseur (OK I don't know what one would consider a connoisseur but we've literally eaten at at about 50 Pho restaurants around the country) and this is up there in the top 10, it's your typical little Pho restaurant in a plaza and maybe it's not visually stunning but clean and their food is authentic and very good... Hubby and I walked into this small family restaurant at 1:30p, and it was still crowded. After a short 10 minute wait, we were seated in a tightly packed dining room Service was quick. Hubby had he pho ga and I the vermicelli with grilled pork and shrimp. Both dishes had a generous serving of noodles. The pho broth and grilled pork were both flavorful. Socal is littered with Pho restaurants (#1-#99 alone in the neighboring six cities) and this one is on that list of the pretty average Pho's. I've eaten plenty of Pho restaurants in my short 2 decades worth of lifetime, and this one was just okay in my opinion. Sadly, it's not that I had a bad experience, it just wasn't up to par to what I'm expecting when it comes to good work attire (see below). I want to leave a decent rating just because the lady at the cash register was so nice to us. FOOD: You have your basic soup with rice noodles and meat, onions and Sirachia sauce on the side with the occasional meatballs, tripe, and beef. I could never pinpoint what flavor the soup really is, but it's salty and filling (loads of MSG? I wouldn't count that out). The tripe part (cow stomach) is always my favorite just because it's a different texture compared to the meat and noodles in the meal (and they put so muchhh in my bowl = LOVE & Instant +1) The meat wasn't that bad, it was edible and the noodles were mehhh. Their spring rolls were nothing special either. Although it was nicely wrapped in thin rice paper and it was stuffed with rice noodles filled with lettuce (very fresh and crunchy) and shrimp added on with their peanut sauce- still pretty delish. Nothing wowed my mouth though... But, on the upside, they were pretty generous with the toppings and food in general (hence the super stuffed spring rolls and tripe), and I like that. +1 SERVICE: The people working there were nice, but not exactly the most professional. After the guy sat us, he went to another table and started texting away without looking up again. It ended up being the lady at the register who finished serving us. She was really friendly and started up conversations with us, even packaged all our food away in neat little formations. Too bad I forgot to bring it home with me. -___- So she got herself a star. But what bothered me the most that had me almost cringing in horror was that the texting guy was wearing slippers, barefoot... UGH. We're in an eating environment, sir... We don't need to see your feet propped up when we're eating. Please, you're a worker! I couldn't bear to tell my boyfriend, but the fact that it was in my peripheral... SHUDDER. (Auto knockout of 3 stars, yes... I was that disgusted). OVERALL: I don't live in Texas... I'm exactly 2000 miles away, so... It's kind of hard for me to come back any time soon. But maybe if you teach your waiter to dress properly for work (I don't care if he's family), I'll consider it the next time I stop by in Texas since all you folks are so friendly and the food is uberly filling to the stomach! :) read more
