I come here often but today we decided we were going to try another pho shop around the area. We walked in to this other place, which I feel bad mentioning, and since I didn't eat there I will not name it. That place was dark, dingy, and it smelled like an old mop. For a second we were going to stay since the place had some high reviews. After 5 minutes we ran out of there and drove straight to Pho Consume. Because of my experience today, it's inspired me to write an updated review! I love this place! It is clean, smells delicious as soon as you walk through the door. Their tables, condiment bottles, and areas are all so clean. The restaurant is open, and airy and it just feels good to eat there. The service is always friendly and we are always seated right away. We usually get the pho combo that has all different types of meat. Delicious!!!!!! Oh and I had an iced coffee today that had some condensed milk. Delicious and strong! Needless to say I'll keep coming here and recommending this place. Of course as an added bonus I love supporting local and small business. Check it out!! read more

First timer here and we loved it. My bf and I were looking for an authentic pho spot and I think we found it! Soon as we walked in we got seated right away, handed waters and menus. After skimming through the menu we were ready to order and the staff was quick to put in our order and bring it out. Let me tell you the broth was AMAZING. We both got the steak and brisket pho and it was soooo good. We devoured our food and was surprised at the good price!! Everything about this place was an A+! We will be back for sure read more

I have been coming to this pho restaurant since 2019 and it is my FAVORITE pho ever. I'm so happy that they made it through the pandemic and I've been coming about 1-2x per month since late 2021 after I found out that they were open for business. I also door dash from here frequently and food always comes well prepped- no leakage! The service is AMAZING! Love the friendly atmosphere, great family feel coming here. Amazing food, the only seafood pho in the south bay as I've been dragged to other pho restaurants that sadly do not do a seafood pho like this place does. Also great prices, so much food for such a little price. Overall I love this restaurant, this family, and their delicious recipes. I drive over 20 minutes away just to eat this delicious bowl of soup all the time, second time eating here this week. This bowl of soup got me through a tough winter last year and this restaurant is so dedicated that they stayed open through Hurricane Hilary! I am amazed by this food and excellent service every time. Every experience here is extremely happy and welcoming. Please come to this pho restaurant and enjoy the same experience and food as I do :) read more

I came for the Bun Rieu but was disappointed. The broth, crab cake and noodles were all thin. Broth was not thick or rich. Crab cakes were small and tasteless. Some bun rieu at least had thicker noodles that you could soak up the hosin/sriracha sauce but not here. The imitation crab meat really did not add much. Maybe the bun rieu reviews from 10 years ago reflected a much better soup but it's gone down hill. Sorry read more

Pho Tai was just not up to what it should be. Meat was hard and the broth seemed overcooked or from a day old.

I haven't posted a review for a while but here we go. My last visit here was about 3 years ago. Thought everything about Pho Consumme was spot on in every regard. Tonight I was drawn to the cuisine and they were open a little later. When I got there it was a strange vibe. I was informed that I could only order pho as all other menu items were unavailable I ordered the #7 (raw beef and brisket). The pho was out within 5 minutes. It was good. I could tell the employees wanted to get the hell out there and wanted everyone there to leave asap. Total buzz kill. But things like this happens from time to time in the food biz. I'll give another shot down the road. read more

Everything was good only detail I wasn't okay was not enough noodles. Order over the phone was great. Need to update the actual prices from online menu. read more

Originally, I would give this place a 2 stars but I saw only one of the guy servers who ran out to help this group of guys push their car with a flat tire while the rest watched and gossiped. My dad ordered the pho and didn't like how much MSG they used in their pho broth, but if you like a lot of MSG, then this place would be good for you. I ordered the banh hoi dish with a side of grilled pork. The sugarcane shrimp and tofu skin stuffed with shrimp were mostly batter and not a lot of shrimp. The meatball was made the same as well with more filling than meat. The grilled pork side was a bit dry but the best out of everything that came with the dish. Additionally, when you serve the knife to go with the plate, please don't have the blade facing out towards the customer for personal and public safety. Use a napkin to cover the blade. read more

I've seen this place many times, but finally decided to give it a try! There's a good amount of parking in the back of the restaurant. When I arrived at around 9pm on a Saturday night, there was no line but all the seats were full. I ordered the Pho Tai (didn't take any photos since I was hungry and forgot), but the beef was tender and the portion size was decent. I was shocked at the low rating on Yelp because this place is better than a lot of others. I would recommend this place and would be back! read more

Great menu at a steal of a price. I love their pho dac biet - I'm getting it all the time here. Great broth, great ingredients. My wife loves the spring rolls and beef on vermicelli. And my kids actually eat it! Pickiest critics ever lol. Super fast service, friendly staff. Legit Vietnamese pop music on the tv all day. I'd come here all the time just for that haha - and I do. Here's a distinctive - no other pho place in this neighborhood is as easy to park at. I like Pho So 1 on the corner too, but Tozai Plaza's parking is a mess. So chill here. Love it. 5/5. read more

I've always driven by Pho Consomme but never checked it out until recently. I've been a patron of Pho So 1, which is down the street, for a while but I've always wanted to see how Pho Consomme compares. After finally coming here, I think the pho here is a notch below Pho So 1. On the plus side, the service here is good. The service is quick and the staff is really friendly and make an effort to get to know you. I got an order of the pho dac biet (special) and it comes loaded with all types of meat. I thought the noodles were a bit overcooked and came really clumped together (like it was straight from the packaging). The broth was decent but not as flavorful as I hoped it would be. Not to mention, they barely gave me any mint leaves! Anyhow, Pho Consomme is decent but I think I'll stick to Pho So 1 in the Gardena area. read more

Service was great! Decided to try this place out have been looking forward to a good authentic pho restaurant, the pho was fairly good not the best my son really enjoyed it and decided to take his left overs. After I paid I asked for a to go container as I was pouring it into the to go container I noticed in the broth there was fly wings I felt extremely grossed out server offered to give us a new broth or free drink but I politely declined since I knew I wouldn't let my son eat the leftovers after having a bug in it (I have a very weak stomach when it comes to bugs unfortunately) other than that the fried egg rolls were very delicious, and the ice coffee read more

Pho is typically pretty standard from restaurant to restaurant.. but Pho Consomme's pho and bun bo hue were definitely disappointing. The broths were watered down and did not have a lot of flavor. As a hardcore broth gal, I usually drink most of the broth. But here, I only ate the noodles and meat. One good thing about the bun bo hue here is that there's oxtail, but unfortunately that's not enough to make me come back. My husband and I were both underwhelmed by the noodles here and we won't be back. read more

Pretty standard pho with a good amount of parking for the restaurant in the front and back. I would come back here for the occasions when I want to eat at the restaurant and not get takeout. I haven't found any pho places in this immediate area that have exceptional flavor in the pho soup but this place was good in a pinch. They no longer honor the Yelp free soda deal, just FYI. read more

My bf and I have been going here for a few years - I got the Pho Combo, and he got the Garlic Fish Hot Plate. Always really good pho here for a good price, I also liked my boyfriends plate. Just minus a star because I did catch a small hair in my soup, that tends to happen often to me whenever I order pho from here. Their broth IS really good though so I am not completely scared off, but just wish there would be more care with it. read more

This was my go to pho spot , brought all my friends and family here I was there every other week the food is DELICIOUS and service is fast . Until my last visit made me want to stop coming here completely due to one of the waiters , skinny guy with glasses always wears a Anti social sweater , he's mainly in the front but what I really disliked was that he was popping a pimple , and touching his face consistently then went over to give out someone some food , gave me the ICK and lost my appetite read more

Wanted to like this place. Pho was just okay. It was convenience cause they opened late. I got bahn xeo. Bahn xeo is suppose to be a crispy crepe, minimal batter...I got a greasy thick pancake with filling . She said i have to be specific on how to order bahn xeo. It's how they make theirs. I won't be returning. Place was clean, service was quick. read more

The pho used to be good here. The last couple of times I've been here the broth basically tasted like water. I usually don't add sriracha or hoisin into my broth but it desperately needed some flavor. The bun we got felt like the noodles had been refrigerated and not properly reheated before serving either. read more

Very good traditional Vietnamese food and polite service. I've been visiting this restaurant more than decade. Still good!

I still really love this place since it's close to home and the food is consistent, but the last time I came here our food took a really long time to come out, so the server gave us free spring rolls which was a plus. But when we went to pay our order still came out to 30$ so they gave us the wrong check. Then they re did the order and our total came out to 23$ which didn't make sense because we only ordered two phos...so I'm guessing they still charged us for the spring rolls even though they said it was free. Unless they recently changed their prices and didn't change the menu. Because whenever I come here and pay myself each pho comes out to 10$ with taxes and everything.... I suggest to always get a breakdown down fo the charges. read more

This was our second choice because the other restaurant was not able to make anything we ordered, and one member of the group really wanted a Bahn mi, unfortunately they don't serve them here, so we ordered some Pho, chicken and egg rolls. I had the Shrimp Pho and while it was OK, the broth on all our pho seemed sweet, nothing like we have ever had at any other pho restaurant. I had the Shrimp Pho and while it had a decent number of shrimp it suffered from the sweetness of the broth. The Staff was not very attentive. Prices were very reasonable but not our favorite Pho location and there are others that are much more to our liking. read more

I've been here countless times and, to boil my review down...the service is hit or miss, you typically have to ask for service, and the food is consistently good (for what I get). Service: I got to this restaurant early and was waiting for my friend to arrive. I was given two menus. No one came to see if I wanted water until my friend arrived and all of a sudden we received service! And the first thing he asked was, "Do you need more time deciding what you want?" My friend JUST GOT THERE and he's already asking us if we knew that we wanted. But...LOL we didn't need more time she knew exactly what she wanted. So we ordered and I asked for water. I was thirsty. I could see the bird of paradise plants outside growing. And then we got our water. We stayed from about 6:30 until 9:30 and after initially getting water I had to keep raising my hand and asking them for more water. And on top of that they don't always fill your cup all the way - the third and fourth time I asked they filled it up half way. Maybe they were trying to push us out? I can understand that, they closed at 9:30. Also, not every server talks to you. Which I know sounds weird, but I've been where the server will talk at the beginning and never talk to you again. Oh they'll serve you, you just won't hear anything from them. It's super weird. Food: I normally get the number 1 pho with rare slices of steak, well-done brisket, flank tendon, tripe, and beef balls with rice noodles for about $8. I rarely get anything else because I really like their pho, so I normally get it. It doesn't give me a headache after I've eaten it and it doesn't leave me abnormally thirsty - all thumbs up in my book. Ambiance: Very casual, their booths are uncomfortable if you want to stay for a long time. There's not much cushion beneath your bootie. read more

I come here for the Bun Rieu. I like it extra hot (temperature), idk why but I feel it tastes better that way.. I ask for onions on the side and lime... and it's fire! The serving size is big enough to share if you are not too Hungry. The customer service is good, they get you what you need and in a timely manner. The ambiance is lively, it's pretty busy most of the time I go! read more

Ok i have cheated. We all go the Pho on the corner @ Redondo and western but we decided to give this place a try. the Pho soup is quite good. I ordered the number #2 and the broth is thick and tasty as well as the beef . The place is clean and overall I was very happy, however the owner is not the nicest person on earth. If you own a restaurant or service place you must be nice to people. We told him it was our first time and I asked him some questions about the Pho and the owner was not very polite. Pho Consomme is my go to place for Pho around the South Bay Area. The quality of food and service is always consistently good with a reasonable price that stays true to food you are receiving. I tend to go back and forth from pho, to vermicelli, to rice dishes depending on how I feel that day but I am never disappointed with my choices at Pho Consomme. It is usually the quality of meats that are part of the dishes that make or break the meal, and pho Consomme does a good job cooking them to perfection.
