Great place for pho and Vietnamese drinks. We had the BBH and pho Bo #13. Both were amazing especially the pho bo. BBH was a bit bland the soup but still overall good. We ordered Thai tea and avocado coconut, they've great too. Will comeback soon to try the rice plates. read more

Was looking for a great pho spot nearby since we're far away from china town now and this location is a family owned spot with hands down great food, drinks, and service. The spot feels like a cozy mom and pop restaurant and since we have found this spot, we frequent it a lot for dessert drinks, teas, and boba. The food is really good too including the pho broth which is important! :) We've tried several drinks including Thai tea, Vietnamese coffee, dessert drinks, coconut tea, pho, eggrollls, and salmon rolls - all 10/10! We like how convenient this location is and look forward to trying more of the menu. read more

I came here after a great and relaxing day at Gangnam Spa on my week off. I had to try a new boba place and saw this place was fairly new! I didn't know that this boba spot is also attached to a great pho restaurant. Luckily I was super hungry so I decided to also get a little snacky snack. Pretty nice place located next to the Stat furniture across the street from HEB! I decided to go light and ordered the honeydew melon green tea with rainbow jelly and an order of Spring rolls to go. SO GOOD! Although, I would ask to get lighter on the sugar... it was SO SWEET! The first few gulps were hard to swallow and could definitely spike those glucose levels.. phew! The spring rolls tasted fresh and the peanut sauce was decent. I'm going to come back and try the pho! I'm sure we will be a regular if the pho is solid. We've been coming here for years and they've been consistent! Everything is amazing from the rice plates to vermicelli bowls to the bahn mi sandwiches! The pho is superior here, the aroma and flavor from the broth is incredible, I typically don't add much to my pho broth besides the veggies it comes with which is usually very fresh! Also a huge fan of the spring rolls and egg rolls! The best peanut sauce I've tried for the spring rolls, always left wanting to order more appetizers. Drinks are also super good, the boba is also good quality, my favorite is the basic black sugar milk tea, delicious every time. By far the best spot for pho in cypress. The beef had flake seasoning on it - I don't know what it was but it was addicting. The veggies were a nice refreshing bite between egg and rice. I loved dipping my beef in the yolk. The egg roll was crispy and tasty with or without sauce. Everything here was delicious. The bill was $51 and change but I did order an appetizer and we both got boba. They offer 'regular' size boba which is a short cup. Large is the more common boba drink size you see at other places. I did like that they had size options for the drinks. The foot traffic is steady. A lot of takeout orders. Quite a good rotation of patrons going in and out even with the cold weather. Will go back! Didn't get a look at the restrooms. No idea if there's a baby changing area for both men and women. No idea the cleanliness. Also tried one of their desserts - Oreo flavored and chocolate flavored macarons. I know I left a review not too long ago but have to bump it down a star. I've been here 4-5 times and the service has been consistently bad. Never got refills on my water even when I thought he was coming for it he didn't. This past visit they ran out of rice for the fried rice, if that was the case they could have told us beforehand. It took 40-45 minutes for our apps to come out. Spring roll, dumpling, and egg rolls. Then a little over a hour for our food to come out. One thing that was disappointed that I didn't catch the first time i ordered bun Bo hue was it didn't have the pork blood in it and I didn't taste the paste in it. If it did have the paste it lacked the flavor which is weird cause it's full of flavor. But the pork blood the unique thing about it isn't serve with their bun Bo hue. This is Pho restaurant, not just Bambu: We had dinner here once and ordered takeout about 20 times. The food was okay, not really good, and the portions were a bit small, especially the meat, compared to other places. They were also very slow, sometimes we had to wait 15-20 minutes even when the restaurant was almost empty. But since it was close to our house, we kept coming back for convenience. In the past month alone, we spent at least $500 here. But after what happened last time, we were done. We walked in and saw a young man behind the counter taking orders. He didn't say a word when we walked in: no hello, no smile, nothing. We sat down at a table, and after a while he walked over, still completely silent. He dropped the menu on the table with a loud thud, didn't say anything, didn't even look at us, then turned his back and walked away. We were shocked and really offended. We couldn't even see his face. How rude! We left the restaurant immediately. We will never come back, even if someone else paid for us. Such disrespect to customers is unacceptable. And I will definitely warn my friends, so they don't have to ruin their day with an experience like this, especially in this hot sun. This place just lost loyal customers and money because of that guy!! (After leaving, we drove another 15 minutes to our favorite Pho restaurant near Sam's Club. Two tiny shrimp, Two tiny fish balls and two small pieces of squid. Seventeen dollars, seriously. I was starving after finishing my meal. Notwithstanding the meager portion of food served the meal was tasteless and probably cost the venue $2.00 for the ingredients. This was my second time at Pho Bo. The first was about a year ago and unremarkable. Decided to give the restaurant a second chance; there won't be a third. The service is erratic. There is a language barrier to be overcome when ordering and the menu is confusing. The chicken in the vermicelli was loaded with fat, not lean and very dry. The spring rolls were the same and quite rubbery. We have been here several times and the food is wildly inconsistent. You roll the dice. I paid $19.00 for two spring rolls and a vermicelli bowl. We have been a regular customers since they opened many years ago and even though the food was average at best we tried to support the local business. Well, it was a final straw today meaning we most likely will never come back to the place (what a shame since it is located near our house). After repeated incident where we were the last to get food even though we came in way a head of a lot of people. For some reason, they treated us for granted meaning they knew we has been a regular but yet some how they tent not to see us at our table. Today was really bad in a sense that after waiting for 20+ minutes to place our order (it was a busy day for them), we were sitting patiently for our food to arrive but yet there were multiple people came in up to 20 minutes after us got their food while we were still waiting for ours. To rub salt into the injury, a customer came in roughly 15 minutes after us and ordered the exact same dish as mine got his good within 5 minutes while we were still waiting (we are now 40 minutes in and still sitting with no food). I have never walked out of the restaurant until now and it was the first time that my wife and I had to walk out because we have no idea if we would get our food within the next hour (the waiters basically ignored us as we sat there) This is truly unfortunate since we wanted to support them (their place normally empty during week day lunch hour) but we will not give business to place that does not seem to value regular customers. read more

This is my first time venture into this Pho place. The pho is pretty good and the portion is not bad for the price. I had the Rib bone pho large it us smaller than other Rib bone pho place I frequent before. But it is still very tasty. The spring roll is good and fresh the peanut sauce is very good flavor as well. The only thing is that I order a smoothie which it has never arrived that is why only a 4 star rating. Their service need to step up a bit more for me to continue to frequent the establishment But still all in all need to go and try it for yourself just don't order the smoothie. LOL read more

I think they recently changed names. I liked the interior and the staff was super friendly. They got my drink order wrong but I didn't complain about it. I think my main issue with this place is that the food seems to be priced high. Not sure if they pay high rent or what but I thought it was a bit pricey. I hate giving bad reviews but after stewing over my frustrations over night I had to say something to make sure that this does not continue at Pho Bo. Last night I went by and ordered a to go meal (7A) and an Avocado Crush drink. Paid for the order in full without asking for a discount or arguing!! The man that took my order told me "I know I know" to hush me up when I started to read all that was supposed to be on my meal! But when I got home my meal was VERY sparse with no shrimp and no egg roll!!!!! The pork was so dry and stale tasting I fed it to the dogs and they loved it! How can you in good conscious leave out half the meal and charge me full price?!?! The egg rolls were the most important since I would have ordered it as a separate order and paid full price if I knew it would be left out!!!! Granted I did give them one star since my drink was good and the real avocado was in there with a hearty helping. I sustained myself on that drink till breakfast this morning! This place is good for drinks but the food stuff should just be left to a real chef that can cook good homemade meals! I've been twice recently with the first time focused on the Vietnamese version of Lomo Saltado. Filet mignon, French fried potatoes and grilled onions either with white or fried rice. Great dish and traditionally cooked. Will definitely have again. Second time in we were focused on pork bahn mi and crispy egg rolled with seasoned ground pork. Very solid version with fresh French bread roll, tender pork and fresh traditional veggies. This place is going in my regular rotation. read more
