I stopped here on the way home from work last Friday for a bowl of pho to go. Was actually pretty good, the serving size was huge and while I don't usually do tofu it wasn't bad. I probably won't order the tofu version again, unless it's Friday during the Lenten season, but still not bad. Meh at best. Got the tofu bahn mi with a fried egg (was charged twice for the egg). The tofu was so good but the egg wasn't runny (not a big deal) but the sandwich was super soggy and lacked flavor. Update: I have been back here several times..... And only for the food. The pho here is sooo good. Yes there may be places that are better but I haven't found any in this area yet. The service in this place seems to get worse everytime I go. We had to actually go up to the counter and get refills on water. The egg rolls are AMAZING! As other people said they don't come out and clean up the tables after customers leave. The owner of this business needs to remove the TV that they are all glued to and just play background music or something else. The employees are too busy worrying about the Tv than keeping people coming back and keeping a clean establishment. This used to be my go-to Pho restaurant in Atascocita but lately either they changed management or staff they have been the worst customer service experience I have ever had! Since covid started I have been placing my orders for pick up and 5 times out of the 6 I had ordered in there, they forgot something from my order causing me to return to the restaurant after driving back home. This last time I sent my son back to pick up what was missing from my order, they wanted my son to pay for the item even though I had called and let them know that my son is coming to pick up what was left from my order. Ridiculous! My son did not want to cause a scene so he just paid for it and left. I called the restaurant to let them know I was double charged and now they want me or my son to go back there so they can refund us the money! If they really want to refund me the money, refund it back on my card, why do I have to drive back there?!? What an experience! Meat here is mediocre at best. The fried egg rolls were delicious. Ordered the Pho Special. The beef balls were rubbery and not very flavorful, the spare rib was extremely tough and hard to chew, the filet was not rare and over cooked. The broth was also a bit lacking. This normally is my favorite Pho restaurant to go to but apparently they started closing 30 minutes early and won't even tell me or say it on their door but the doors just locked at 3:20 and I got there and I'm like what's going on why is the door locked and he's like not coming to the door I'm knocking on the door wondering why it's closed but it says they don't close until 4 and then he comes out and says that they close 30 minutes early very rudely. I'm like it's 45 minutes almost till you close and you won't even let me get a to go order and then pretty much shuts the door in my face. If giving a place 0 stars was possible, I would. I used to love this place but the place has went downhill. I don't understand how they pass health inspections with how filthy the restaurant is. Their food is always good. I love the soup that comes with the 31. Only complaint on food is the meat is sometimes fatty, and that's something I can't stand. The balding older man with glasses is TERRIBLE. They need to take him off of waiting tables. Me & my sister went here a couple of months back. Okay the pho was 100% tasteeeee. I was hesitant at first because of some of the reviews. I'm used to getting a third glance when I walk into Vietnamese restaurants but this time it was slightly different.It was a Friday afternoon, only two guests, a woman & child & my food was ready in superhuman speed. I got it togo as I was traveling through heading back to Dallas & I was in awe of how well packaged & at proper temps. the difference is obvious with the pho. I got a large beef pho w/ well done flank. The portion was more than generous (eating the second half as a midday snack) and it had ALL the fixings. One of the cleaner pho places around town, maybe it also has to do with the modern looking furniture. Food and price is like any other pho places. I got one the rice plates, and if you get beef, just warning you, the pieces are very thin and limited, so if you're hungry considering probably getting a pork chop, more appetizers, or something like that. I ordered the lemongrass tofu because it looked good on one of the reviews. One review even noted it was "off-menu." Guess what? It wasn't good. It tasted like it was drenched in fish sauce and that made the stir fried tofu soggy. It has this fishy taste! I found some thin white hairs, looks like cat or dog hair. I saw one, then after I saw some more ... I'm like gross. I'm not saying that's what it is, it just looks like animal hair ... that's the closest I am able to describe it. I should've taken a pic but I wanted to close the plate and toss it cause it was stinking up my vehicle. I was trying to figure out where it came from ... maybe something in the sauce. I tried to eat the rest of my food and had to toss all of it after eating under a half ... I was somewhat upset that I wasted $10+ but at least I know now.
