I ordered the crispy spicy shrimp with fried rice to go...the wait was quick...about 8 minutes...and when I got home to try the food...I was pleasantly surprised...the shrimp were a nice size...perfectly cooked...and packed with flavor...the fried rice was fresh and tasty...without that "old rice" taste some takeout places can have. Shrimp was those tiny ones you get in a 5$ bag at walmart only they used a small amount, rice was gross, lemon chicken was frozen pattie's wasted $36 on this. I have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant in the area that has all the traditional favorites; this was one of the suggested places. Upon arrival one of the owners/managers addressed me with "yes ma'am," as to insinuate what I needed or why I was here. I was little off put by this as I would think it was obvious as to why we were here. I didn't respond but my husband made it clear that we're dining in for 4, including a baby. We sat down, he took our drinks and gave us our menus. I had to ask for a high chair as he did not offer one like most places. The drinks came out fast, and the sweet tea was pretty good. Later he took our orders: we got the kung po chicken, the sweet and sour shrimp, and the amazing shrimp. I got the dinner portion which comes with an egg roll and soup. There are 3 or 4 different size choices, but the waiter/owner/manager spoke so fast we could not get a clear understanding of the difference in size. Initially, one of the orders were brought out and it was the wrong item. Instead of a sweet and sour shrimp they brought out a sweet and sour chicken. They had to take that one back. My husband liked his amazing shrimp, as it seems like they use a house sauce for that one; it has a sweetish taste without being fried. My shrimp fried rice was a little off - putting. It had a grilled slightly burnt taste to it - not the garlicky buttery taste I'm use to. The sauce from the kung po shrimp made it more appetizing. The chicken itself was not bad, but some parts were a bit dried out. Overall, not impressed but the lady who served our food was really nice and was more welcoming than the other owner who greeted us. My wife and I had gone a long while not visiting this "hole in wall" Mom and Pop Chinese Restaurant. We have visited twice in the last three weeks. The restaurant is very clean and either Mom or Pop will take your order. Everyone is polite and attentive to your needs, checking on your table regularly. The first visit I tried a new dish for me, the Lo Mein Special with large noodle. It was so well prepared and delicious, I ordered the same on our most recent visit. My wife had the chicken fried rice on the first visit and thought it was some of the best she has ever had. On our recent visit she ordered her favorite Chinese dish, Mongolian Beef and was very impressed saying it was very flavorful and also some of the best she's ever had. Looked, smelled and tasted awful. Singapore noodles dish was next and almost as bad. The entire dish just wasn't fresh and likely reheated (big no-no with most Asian dishes). The physical restaurant is a scant six minutes away, yet cannot seem to get one delivery man to our door. Calls to the restaurant (11 now) receive only the busy signal. Where can our food be? And what excuse can there be for its lateness? UPDATE: after sixty-five minutes of waiting, the food finally arrives. The delivery guy just remarks that it's a "rough night" and leaves with no further excuses or apologies. Also with no tip. Will the banquet be worth the wait? In short, yes. While not much of the food is unique or special, it is all tasty and has some quality about it, some fresh x-factor, that lets you know everything you are eating was made from scratch- nothing frozen or artificially preserved. The cheese puffs- fried dumplings filled with sweet cheese filling- are simply amazing, a sweet and savory treat that is a must try. The wonton soup is also delicious, very richly flavored. All told, the food is very good. And so a four- or five-star restaurant is reduced to a two-stars because of inexcusably slow, entirely unapologetic service. But if you are dining in, go nuts. You'll have a great meal, and be sure to try the cheese puffs. But under no circumstances can I recommend the delivery method. If you want to eat here, GO IN PERSON. read more

The portions that they give you are enough for 2 people. The quality of the food was really good and their noodles are a 10! I was approached by a server, maybe about 28. He gave us our drinks. I asked to split a plate with my little brother because we didnt want to fill up too much. So, some time has gone by since my last review of this restaurant. They've improved, at least on eat in. The food is really good. The iced tea is worth the trip just on it's own. Ate there on Christmas. It was 5 of us and there were other families there. Good service, and food, had the following: 1. Chicken with Mushroom 2. Chicken with Snow Peas 3. Moo Goo Gaipan 4. Chicken Chow Mein 5. Chicken with Cashews It was all great. We had to order the full entree due to no combo lunch or dinner because of the holiday (we were not told ahead of time even though we called ahead.). So I heard about this restaurant before covid hit, and I was going there at least once a week and always got my wonton soup and my entree. I usually go there for the soup, it is so good. Once covid hit they closed the restaurant down and did not have dine in, only carry out. It was not the same because I felt welcomed every time I would go in and they already knew me. This restaurant was close for a good while, it felt like forever. I would always order for take out and would ask every time when they were going to open up the dine in, but were never too sure. Finally after a good while of the restaurant being closed they finally opened their dining area. I was super excited when I seen it open because it meant I could finally go in and sit down and feel welcomed. I would always order a sprite for the drink, which is very basic. Then they finally recommended me to try their ice tea, so I gave it a try and come to find out it was really good so that is what drink I started to order from there on. I have tried many of their dishes and find them good. I think they have fair prices and a good portion per dish. If you are craving Chinese food , this is a great place to satisfy your taste. My cousins and I love going there together and have a great time every time we are there. Every time we want Chinese this is the place to go for us, it never seems to disappoint, especially the owners of the restaurant , they are good hard working people. The restaurant itself is a clean place and it looks like they keep it that way all the time, every time I go I never see anything dirty. Some of the good dishes I would recommend to get are the general tso's, asparagus chicken, chicken broccoli , orange chicken, the noodles with chicken which I believe they call it chow mien with chicken. For the sides the wonton soup is really good but also the cheese puffs those I always love to get an extra side of because of the cheese it has, it is really good.If you want to get cheaper prices for the dishes it is best if you go during lunch time hours which is before 3 because they plates are a bit cheaper, and I believe they have a little bit less but worth the price .
