So we come here all the time the food is great but the staff is so rude we only order take out from this location, we get the same items each time so we are well aware how they're supposed to come. So today we placed a phone order and to our surprise on both of our they gave us double the rice and less than half the normal amount of chicken. I understand inflation but gaaawwwleee!! And when we called to inquire about it the woman on the phone was sooo rude and hostile and lied saying "it always comes like that" and as I stated before my family and I order all The time we know it's not! Anywho just avoid this location and go to the one by target instead. Way nicer and friendly staff

Where to start... let's begin with the positives. The place is clean, and the pho broth is still rich and flavorful -- definitely the highlight and what keeps me coming back. As for the bún bò Huế, I actually asked the waiter about it beforehand and she mentioned it wasn't very traditional and that she personally didn't prefer it. Honestly, I should've trusted that. It wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't the best or what I was hoping for. I'll stick to their pho moving forward. I also ordered a to-go soup for my dad, and this is where things were disappointing. The packaging just isn't great -- especially compared to other pho spots nearby. The soup was spilt all inside the trunk of the car. They don't double-bag it, the container itself felt slippery and not very secure. In my opinion, pho like this can be a bit hazardous for takeout if it's not packaged well. To be fair, the spill of the box was partially my fault while juggling my phone, but the container didn't help the situation. I'm mainly sharing this as feedback on the takeout packaging. For me, this is a place I'd rather dine in than order to-go. Overall, it's not a bad spot -- the pho is solid -- but it's not quite my go-to. I'd come back, just with adjusted expectations.

Pho 1 on Sonoma Blvd is officially the restaurant I will be dining at whenever I am shopping at 168. The restaurant has shut down Stockpot. This is the place to go to for Fresh Springrolls. First time I dine at Pho 1 right away I was seated and they were able to take my order. I order a Fresh Springroll, use the restroom to wash my hands and when I return my Springrolls was already on my table. That is what I call fast service. The Springrolls were delicious! A good proportion size Springrolls. The inside of Pho 1 was clean. The restaurant keeps up with clean tables for people to sit down at. Everytime I dine inside Pho 1 I don't see a dirty table. Food is good but the place is very unsanitary bugs on table while eating, flys in food, the service is also terrible and disrespectful. One employee started yelling at me and my family and accused us of not wanting to pay because we brought up bugs being In our food, he also said a rude and racist remark saying" we are both immigrants" there was a lot of stereotypes and unprofessionalism going on!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO NO ONE!!!!!

Talk about the fastest service in town! Normally you will have to wait for your food to come out a little later, but no, spring rolls check! summer rolls check! Pho check! Thai tea check! And overall delicious! Lots of room and nice lighting in the restaurant. Lots of free and ample parking. Enjoy!

This is the best Pho in Vallejo because it's so so fresh and flavorful. Not to mention the servers are here to get your delicious for to you. Yes this place has a large menu but you can't go wrong with their Pho. I ate the #33 which is pho with dumplings. Great seating for all and a really clean restaurant.

Over the years, the price has gone up, but so did their serving size! This Pho restaurant is pretty solid - excellent service, quality dishes, and a very great choice for hangover cleansing. The restaurant is spacious and can hold large parties. I usually get the Pho soup here, which has always been so delicious. But on this day, I ordered the grilled beef vermicelli, and it was also a fantastic dish. The portion size is a lot and this is definitely a shareable dish. The grilled beef is so flavorful. The dish itself is already amazing, but adding more chili oil to it definitely enhances the flavor. This place is a very solid choice for whatever you're craving - soup, noodles, or rice dishes.

I've been coming to this location for years, and I especially miss their banh mi deli being open. I stopped by for some pho and I was pleasantly surprised with their menu change. The inside is spacious and tons of seating. The service is fast and on point. I ordered their #9 with hofun noodles because I prefer the thicker rice noodles! I also got a Thai iced tea. They were able to accommodate my request since the hofun noodles were only listed on the other pho options and not the beef side. The soup came out immediately. The broth was delicious and fresh. The meat was tender and flavorful. They provided extra limes when I asked too. I'll always come to this pho spot over the others in the area!

Not sure if this place is under new management but the workers were all new faces to us. Our last lunch here was a terrible experience. We had ordered soup and fried rice but never came. After we noticed 3 customers, who came after us, had received their orders, we had to follow up with the staff. The guy just said I don't know and he just puts in the order and the kitchen makes it. Obviously, our order was missed. This has never happened before, but as I mentioned, the staff looked new to us. Maybe they're still working on their ordering process. Food was still good. The portion of the fried rice is less from our past visits but otherwise, taste the same.

One of my favorite pho places ever and such a staple! All the dishes are super authentic, my favorite is the rare steak beef pho bowl with a side of fresh spring rolls. The service is always so quick which is amazing when you are ravenous. A good place to get a quick bite when you are on the go. read more

I want to say that this is among the top 2 pho places in Vallejo, and honestly, rightfully so. My classmate and I love dropping by here to grab lunch or dinner mainly because 1) it's close by, 2) the food is delicious, and 3) the staff work so fast! Whether we drop by to eat at the restaurant or call to pick up, our food is always ready within the first 5 to 8 minutes upon ordering. I've had multiple dishes since first stumbling upon Pho 1, and can say that the usual line up I order is usually one of the following: - #23 Hu Tieu (flat noodle, chicken, shrimp, fish cake, pork): Hu tieu is my default soup whenever I go to most Vietnamese places (that is, if I'm not in the mood for pho). Pho 1's staff make a broth so light yet at the same time so flavorful. They are generous with their noodles and proteins, so this is a huge plus for me! - #57 Com bo, Hot Ga (beef, egg, steamed rice): Sometimes when I'm feeling simple, this dish does the job of getting me fed. Throw in a few veggies and some fish sauce and you've got a well-balanced meal. - Spring Rolls: These bad boys are big, fresh, and usually out within 2 minutes of ordering. My classmate loves ordering extra peanut sauce with this and it only makes sense because portions can basically feed two people. - Jackfruit smoothie: As a proud Southeast Asian, I can genuinely say that jackfruit (or langka, as what I grew up knowing it as) is not only great because of nostalgia but also so freaking delicious! Pho 1's jackfruit smoothie has a rich flavor and a lush texture. Another big thing I want to note is that Pho 1's restaurant is spacious; there's more of a dim lighting in the venue but a nice modern twist to how the restaurant is laid out. I love that all of what I mentioned is accompanied with the affordability of food and drinks here -- it is truly a gem located in an unsuspecting spot in Vallejo (and it's neighbors with the V's very own Buds Burgers!). I highly recommend going here if you're looking for a meal that's fast, affordable, and nutritious! read more

My normal local pho place is closed roll 10/4. I had been here before and it was real good. I was slightly disappointed because the last time the broth as so good. This time the broth tasted almost burnt Like it had been reheated a few too many times. ‍‍‍ Service, thai tea, meat and veggies were all good. Because of the 24 min drive to this location I don't think I would come back anytime soon. If anything I would probably wait till my normal place is open read more

This is one of my favorite restaurant to eat in Vallejo! The soups dishes comes out hot & perfect. Their rice dishes are flavorful & tasty. I'm only going to dock 1 star off because the first bite I ate into the bbq chicken was room temperature. But the overall meal was extremely delicious & would come here again. The dish I got was the bbq chicken Rice Plates. One of my favorite item in this dish is the shrimp cake, the shrimp cake was absolutely perfect, it's super crispy! Every bite has a nice crunch to it. I absolutely love dipping it in the sause they give you with the meal it adds a nice salty & savory flavor to it! The egg that came with my meal was over easy & it goes well with the rice! Eating the veggies on the plate is really good, it helps balance the meal out. read more

Parents and I came for some pho before a doctors appointment. Large establishment with lots of tables and seating. We were greater and seated quickly. The difference between and small and large pho was only a couple dollars so we went with the large which was a great size. The beef balls in the soup were large and super tasty. The pho was a great flavor and size foe the price. read more

I'm from San Jose so it's safe to say that my Pho standards are pretty high. I don't think it's easy to find good pho joints outside of San Jose -- it's happens but not often. I was in Napa for the weekend and had a sudden craving for pho. With a quick Yelp search, Pho 1 came up within reasonable driving distance and had pretty decent reviews. We jumped in the car and was in their parking lot within 20 minutes. When we walked in, the restaurant was pretty busy which was expected on a Saturday afternoon. One could never go wrong for having pho for lunch. The table bar seating was pretty cool so we chose to sit there. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet and to my surprise -- the broth was very impressive. Not too sweet and with rich bone flavor. The noodles and meat ratio were great. I should've took a photo at the end of the meal because I finished my whole bowl including the broth (that's rare for me to do). We shared spring rolls which were also good -- I will write that I didn't care for their peanut dipping sauce. I think it was too thick and didn't have enough hoisin flavor. But the main star of the show was the pho, and I can say that with certainty. Great job to this local small business. Y'all put up some tight competition for surrounding pho restaurants! read more

Visited my mom in Yountville and took a short drive to Pho 1 from her place. It was worth it. Finding a good Vietnamese restaurant is always treat. Sometimes the farther one travels from the Bay Area the harder it gets. Fortunately, I scored with this place, since my mom knew about it. Check out the pics. Been coming here for years so I know what to expect when I go there. The ambiance is nothing special, just a large dining room. The service is quick and prompt. Baller on a budget Tuesday!!! I was Rolling to Napa and I saw Pho 1 on the way!!! I made a Executive Decision and stopped for Lunch!!! I parked in their Parking Lot and Rolled in like a Boss!!! I was Seated at Table Number 3 and given a Menu to Peruse. I ordered the Large Bowl of Pho with the Flank Steak, Beef Balls , Tendon and. Tripe and a Boba Thai Iced Tea!!! My Waitress returned with a Glass of Water and my Thai Iced Tea it was Sealed but wasn't Completely filled to the top it was a inch below !!! I think they should have filled it to the top!!! Maybe a cost Cutting procedure?? My Large Bowl of Pho came out!!! It was piping Hot and looked good but East Bay Standards would be Considered a Small bowl. The Broth was good and it had a Ample amount of Meat and Noodles in it . East-bay Standards a Average Bowl of Pho!!! Service was Friendly and Efficient!!! It is hard to find a food place in Vallejo with a good ambiance and with crowd but this place met the standard. The ambiance is worth it... it looks modern, clean, and good decor. I usually go to the pho place on Redwood near Jollibee but I always see this place busy so decided to give it a try. The restaurant is clean and nice simple decor inside. Service was nice and food came out quick. Menu is a little more extensive than just the usual pho, rice plates, and vermicelli plates. The prices are also a little more expensive. Plates were about $15 and large soup about $13. The large soup is not very big and doesn't have much more things in it just more broth. Flavor of the food is ok. I prefer the place on Redwood. read more

Good place for Pho. Usually order the #1 Beef pho. Also, a good place for a rice place (Combo plate #47). Clean. Safe. Good parking. The service is quick and food is always great. Update: 03/18/2023 New Server(s). Took order wrong. Servers needs to verbally repeat order back to guests for confirmation before placing order. We also notice the table next to us also received their order incorrectly. Just a learning phase. Food & service are still great! Note: We noticed the store lable was still on the lemon wedge. Perhaps they didn't have time to clean and/or rinse today (pic attached) ‍? 08/12/2023: Back for the uMmmteenth time...tonight, we had the #36 (Beef Stew HoFun)Large, Chicken Noodles (Large) & Beef Cubes over rice...and durian smoothie with Boba...we kinda made the restaurant smell like durian, but the overwhelming pho fragrance quickly override the durian smell. My man treated me to a birthday dinner. I really enjoy pho and hadn't had some in a long time. The girl at the register was really sweet and handles our order for drinks. We both ordered Taro bubble tea; mine with boba and his without boba. It was delicious and had the right amount of sweetness! For food, I ordered a small thin rice noodle wonton soup and shrimp rolls. The man that took our order, didn't know much about the menu. He wasn't good answering questions, and seemed somewhat agitated. Also, he didn't know what to recommend to eat here as a new customer. All he said was something about seafood. Okay, please never have this man take orders again. He brings the total vibe down. Speaking of vibes, the restaurant was a nice sized restaurant. With somewhat mood lighting- wasn't too bright or too dim. There are tables of all sizes, including nice window seating. Overall, I enjoyed my food and was happy for the serving for what I paid for. The only thing that saved me from writing a bad review was the nice girl at the register that assisted us and the food. I would return to try some other food off their menu! read more

Hands down a MUST if you're in Vallejo. I've been going here for years - back when they were in smaller locations around town. Their prices have gone up a bit recently, but it's always so worth it. Once you put in your order, your food comes out in less than five minutes. The broth is sooooo good, I look forward to having a small bowl of it at the end of my meal. Staff is also friendly, attentive, and fast. There are people who are designated waiters, runners, and baristas. There's also a reward system for coming often. PHO 1, PHO 2, PHO ALL. This spot in Vallejo is THE SPOT for pho and bún bò huê. On the night that I went, it was poppin' with locals and my friend's and I's order was ready in no time. The broth for both the pho and bún bò huê ($11.75) was extremely flavorful and had all of the fix-ins. I have been here twice and both times the service was prompt and excellent. Had the shrimp spring rolls and it's a pretty big portion with fresh tasting shrimp and just the right blend of veggies and rice noodles, I think they are rice noodles...anyway the sauce is good but not my favorite. It has a very peanut butter like texture which is good but just missing something for my taste. Had the boneless chicken noodle soup but substituted the yellow thick noodle. The yellow noodles are perfectly Al dente and the broth tastes clean and yummy. Chicken is ok but it is boneless breast chicken so that's on me will go with the pork next time. Satisfying soup for a cold rainy day so I was content. They have a lot of dishes that seem interesting so may venture off the known path next time. The place is spacious and nicely decorated. This spot is one of Vallejo's finest! The restaurant itself is super clean and orderly. The menu has pictures to give you a preview of what you are ordering; and it's also translated in English. I'm such a fan the Pho Ga! The chicken breast is lean and sliced so perfectly. They don't skimp on the amount of chicken that they give per order! I also go crazy over the Pho Chay. There's tons of veggies; bok choy, carrots, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, herbs, and tofu. The pho is so well seasoned! I highly recommend upgrading to a large because it's so delicious, you'll thank me later;) I highly recommend the Tom Chien with the sweet & spicy sauce for dipping. This place gets BUUUSYYY. I've been coming to this place before they even relocated! I'm glad they're still doing well - every time I pop by they are always so busy. Food - I always get the #1 of Pho Beef soup. It always comes out so fast. The broth is so tasty and comforting. My favorite thing to do in Pho restaurants is to taste the soup before adding any sauces or toppings just so I can enjoy the broth by itself. The meat is tender. And they give just the right amount of noodles - not over noodling it! Service - Friendly and fast! They check in on you here and there while you're eating. There was only one instance where we actually had to wait for 15 minutes for our food. Which isn't bad at all but that was the first time ever that we had to wait that long. Usually they come out with our soup in 5 minutes! Environment - Parking can be a little spotty especially since their busy but the parking lot is bigger in the backside of the building. This vermicelli bowl and their springs are my two favorite dishes to order when I come here. The vermicelli bowl comes with a delicious savory broth that soothes the soul when you sip it. The pork has a lot of flavor and the combination of everything in the bowl was absolutely delicious and fresh tasting. Came here on an absolute whim. My girlfriend and I were hungry and it was cold. We drove by here and saw that it was busy, so thought why not. We were seated very quickly and we ended up ordering spring rolls as well as our own soups. I got the meatball and steak pho. It was a tasty broth! Noodles were good and the meat was yummy. Oh my the spring paper rolls are so delicious! Peanut sauce is perfect I was so happy and yes I would recommend it to any liver if Vietnamese cuisine. The Pho is delicious and flavorful now from time to time there has been a pnat problem outside! The cherry on top was finding out that the restaurant is family-owned and operated. When I visited, it was a father and son working together, helping customers and running the restaurant with genuine care. You can tell they take pride in both their food and their service. The servers really checked up and were attentive to all of our needs from start to finish. Was very quick and efficient cause this was a stop on the way to six flags for a day. I am a big fan of pancakes and my partner loves waffles so we caved in on our favorites. They were so delicious, fluffy and buttery. All of the Latino staff are nice and friendly but some of the vietnamese staff come off as rude, specifically the older thin vietnamese male that brings the food to the tables. If you do decide to go this restaurant, pay attention to how he speaks to the customers, his tone, and his mannerisms, its as if he has a grudge against the customers. Maybe thats just his character, but why would management have him interact with the public when he is angry all the time? The worst part is that they can't take constructive criticism and they will make excuses instead of trying to hear the customers feedback. Here's some basic feedback: 1. When you bring food to the table don't ask the customers which NUMBER they ordered but instead ask them which food item belongs to them. The skinny vietnamese man seemed to be angered that customers haven't memorized the NUMBER associated with their order. It is not the obligation of the customer to remember a number. How do new customers know that you guys use a numbering system? People go to restaurants to eat food. IF you order beef stew, it is easy to remember you ordered beef stew, but somehow the staff expects you to memorize if you ordered #37 and #45B or #14. That doesn't make sense and to have an attitude towards the customers for not knowing the number system is incorrect. 2. Proper signs for "To Go" containers. Put proper signs up for services the staff won't provide. Management, how many times do you tell people in 1 day the location of the "To Go" supplies? More than 1 time? More than 5 times? MOre than 10 times? If you answer more than 10 times then wouldn't it make sense to just have a sign telling people that it is self serve for the To Go boxes? Why do you expect customers to know where to go automatically? How do you think it sounds when a customer is always hearing the staff tell other customers "go help yourself" over and over again while eating. Does that sound welcoming or helpful? It does not. 3. Stop rushing the customers. Give them time to decide on their order. Don't ask after only 1 minute if they are ready to order, let them know that if they need more time to decide that you can come back. It seems obvious that they want to "turn" the table as quick as possible and help the next customer, but if you continue rushing people they will slowly not return and you will have permanently open tables. I know the owners are smart, but they lack attention to detail. Lets see if they know how to properly take feedback or if they will be to prideful and continue letting rude staff members cause their customers to leave unhappy. The food is cheap which is why people still go to this restaraunt, but I will gladly go to other more expensive pho restaurants simply because they know how to respect the customers. If saving $1 a plate is more important to you than being treated with respect and proper service, than continue going here. read more

Well maybe I'm a bit biased because I lived in SF for nearly 10 years and it's kind of difficult to compete with the abundance of great food there. The place itself looks great! I'm not writing this to bash them I'm just hoping for them to improve a couple things as it may be a frequent "to go" place when i'm passing through. When I think of a vermicelli bun BOWL I think of just that! A BOWL elegantly organized with the meat, pickled carrots, egg roll etc on top of a decent amount of noodles. The veggies should be at the very bottom. What I have described is the the tradition. Oh and don't forget the fish sauce! So today I stopped by for a to go order and it came out quickly which was great! However it was not in a to go bowl. It was is a regular styrofoam to go box and all the ingredients were separated by the dividers and the portions were tiny. Meat had good flavor, they forgot the peanuts. Egg rolls were not sliced. The whole thing looked just kind of thrown in the to go box. If you guys are going to be charging your prices for the bun bowls it's all about those fine details that will keep people coming back. Get to go bowls, don't skimp on the portions, make entrees to go the same way you would if someone were dining inside your establishment. Oh and don't forget the finishing touches (ie) peanuts. I will give you guys another try because Vietnamese is one of my favorite cuisines. Your place has potential! Your staff is also very polite. The manager of this business DUC. Is very rude. He took a $100 from my friend he claimed was counterfeit. He called the police and made a big seen. Was rude to not only me and my friend but also Vallejo Police. Since I gave my friend the money I went to get it back. He has refused to return the money. Told me to come back in the morning after he verified the money was real at the bank. Rather than going to the bank first to resolve this issue. He sits in the restaurant eating telling me to wait, it's too early! This guy Duc is not only rude but lazy. A very poor manager and I recommend they get rid of him. I have been to this restaurant 6-8 times with success. I know that only happened because I didn't have to deal with this guy. After then speaking with the owner Tran. He is just as inept as the manager Duc. You can refuse service, you can ask for a different type of payment. What you can't do is take money from a person and deny them goods or service. That's called steeling! Learn the laws and be respectful to your customers! Take your money somewhere else! read more

The food here is truly authentic, with generous portions and incredible flavor. Being from San Jose, I don't say that lightly -- it's one of the hardest places to compete with when it comes to Vietnamese food. We've tried countless Vietnamese spots, and this one absolutely holds its own. What really sets them apart is their consistency. Every visit, they deliver the same high level of quality, which is something I really value and don't take for granted. The staff is always friendly, accommodating, and polite, which makes the experience even better. On top of that, the pricing is fair for the quality and portion sizes you're getting. We have been here a couple times when it was at the old location and now a couple times at the new place. Boy, seems like it's not the same restaurant at all! The pho has gone down hill. The last two times it tasted terribly bland. The combination plate was completely different!!! Not a good different at all! Before it use to come with couple pieces of pork chops and now only one very over cooked piece and the chicken wings were absolutely disgusting! Tasted like dry and unseasoned fried chicken out of the freezer box. The only thing that was a good experience about the place is that it's a beautiful inside and out, it's a lot bigger, and cleaner than the old location but the food is no good anymore. The spring roll tried to throw in some Hong Kong flair with the pork, but the gelatinous, thick skin missed the mark for me--not quite what you want in a crispy, fresh roll. But hey, I didn't come for the rolls; I came for the pho! The broth? Spot on--rich, aromatic, and full of flavor. The meat was also a highlight, tender and of good quality. Where it fell short was the noodles--overcooked and lacking that perfect al dente bite. Despite these minor issues, it's a satisfying 3.5-star experience overall. Would I come back? I give the restaurant 4 stars but this review is for the Sandwich side. Terrible pork bahn mi sandwich, worse I've had. Upon opening it I was quite surprised. The first one was over saturated with vinegar sauce. It had the appropriate amount of pate'. The second one was hardened like she put it in the oven too long and hardly any pate on half the bread and the other half was quite skimpy like she was running out. Pho #1 is my go to. They are kind and service is consistent. They are quick to clean the tables and have it ready for the next customer. The photos are of 3 different evenings. The fresh spring rolls: I love peanut butter sauce. Especially when they add the extra crunchy peanuts and pickled marinated shredded carrots and jicama. I suggest to add a little heat Hu Tieu Dai Bo Kho: beef stew with clear noodles with a side of their fresh bread roll. I suggest to add all the side garnishments. On our way to Tahoe, we stopped at Pho1, a Vietnamese restaurant that was thankfully open early in the morning. We appreciated their opening hours and the fresh spring rolls we ordered, which, while not extraordinary, were certainly satisfying. However, the barbecue pork in our vermicelli dish was disappointingly fatty, even though the overall flavor was good. The noodles and salad were well-prepared, but the sauce didn't quite hit the mark. hmm i really like the decro and atmospere there. The noodle soup is fresh and less oily. we didnt waitlong to get a seat or our order. I don't see how some reviewers gave this place more than 3 stars. The Pho is absolutely horrible. Broth was served cold, and noodle was overly cooked. I think they used too much MSG, because my stomach sure didn't hold well after I ate their Pho. I should have gone next door Pho place.. Although the place is fairly decent size and it's new, the food is not up to par. read more

Wow. I cant believe how long it took me to try this place out. i have ALWAYS heard AMAZING things about it, and it definitely lived up to them all!!!!!!! I got the veggie pho and fried tofu.
