    Salted Butterscotch (limited time)

I came in to get some work & studying done, and I tried the new limited time drink called 'salted butterscotch' at this location. The barista made it so yummy! I can only imagine how delicious everything else is made. All the baristas are also so pretty here-- love the vibe and this team! Very cozy & sunny spot to chill for a few hours and be productive.

Great drink options, a delish vegan pumpkin loaf, and a good vibe. I've heard the rave reviews about Philz, but have only had the coffee truck experience prior to visiting this brick and mortar. Highly recommend!

I do enjoy coming here when I'm around and ready for coffee. The environment alone is just cool to be in. LOCATION & DECOR: Tucked in a little shopping center with plenty of parking out front in a shared lot. Industrial setup with wood, metal and concrete decor. Vaulted ceilings and lots of natural light from big windows FOOD & DRINK: -mocha tesora -mint mojito -light, medium and dark roast options PRICE: $ - $7 large mocha tesora SWAG/AMENITIES: -outdoor seating -bench, council, bar height, and table seating indoors -unisex bathroom -T-shirts -hats -pastries -BLM support -app ordering - STAFF & EXPERIENCE: Staff of super chill. Gave us a little rundown on the menu. Wasn't a long waited this place at 6:45 a.m. on a Wednesday morning. They're having a good time in the back cracking jokes and keeping a nice vibe in here.

Food/drinks good, ambiance fine (not noteworthy), service slow. I got the kouign ammon and Jakob's Wonderbar roast with light cream. The coffee was very good (and I'm picky about coffee!) and the pastry was buttery, flaky, and delicious. Just don't come here if you're in a rush - line to order moved incredibly slowly.

I'm from the Midwest & always wanted to try Philz Coffee! Although it was busy, my coffee was great quality. It was everything I dreamed of. The drinks come in paper cups to support sustainability, love it.

I was in this part of the area due to a scheduled CPR class that I had to attend. I scouted around the area and saw that there was a Philz nearby and decided to come after my class was over. I ordered via the App and my drink was ready by the time I got there. Upon pick-up, my barista thanked me for my visit and asked before I leave if the drink was great. Mint mojito: My go to drink whenever I am at Philz. I have been to a few locations, but I got to say this place did it perfectly for me. It was sweet and creamy in all the right spots, with not one of them overpowering the other. Some other Philz I have been to either put too much or too little cream, and they got it just right. The mint leaves gave it that nice refreshing feeling and I was able to enjoy my sip all the way back home. Overall, this turned out great. Carter was very friendly and social and I thank him a lot for making my drink this morning on my long drive to this part of the state I have never been to before.

This Philz is a larger store with a lot of space and seating. Good service and individually brewed coffee.

The place is clean, with plenty of seating both inside and outside, and there is a large selection of pastries, scones, breads, and grab-and-go items. The staff is professional and efficient, though clearly busy, so do not expect a lot of chit-chat. I also picked up a box of Cheese Coins, which turned out to be dangerous because I loved them and ate the whole box. Good coffee, fresh pastries, easy seating, and enough tempting extras to make you buy more than you planned. I will probably stop by again tomorrow morning before leaving the area.

It could have used a lot more filling. I did appreciate the salsa on the side that it came with, which was tomato-y, garlicky, and overall very flavorful. It took around half an hour for me and 4 of my friends to get our orders, which was frustrating because we were on the go. Definitely a very busy spot! The place is a grab-and-go establishment where you order at the cashier and grab your food once ready (or they'll bring it out to you if dining in). I loved the outdoor seating on a sunny day but all the tables were unfortunately taken when we were there. The inside also has a couple of seats and refreshing cucumber water was offered.

For me, a nice eggplant pizza and the chicken dinner for my wife which is a house favorite since they first opened. My favorite cocktail, the ADMIRAL and a beautiful, tasty nonalcoholic cocktail for my wife. Simply superb! The remodeled outdoor patio is really something to behold- it's a beautiful cozy setting, especially on a warm evening. For several years now this has been just about my favorite spot to go to in the bay area and certainly my number one Marin spot! Sometimes just to sit at the bar and have a nice exquisite craft cocktail is a complete joy. Or, if you only want a pizza, this is the best place to do it as the wood-fired pizzas are second to none and who doesn't want some pizza and good beer? With a price that's not out of line in comparison to the region. Check out the private dining area which can be shut off and secluded which is great for meetings, birthdays, bar mitzvahs, or graduation events. Oh, and let's not forget the succulent desserts. Be sure to take a stroll before or after dinner, and check out the captivating retailers at this charming shopping area known as the Marin Country Mart. There are even freestanding retailers in the various parking areas. Most assuredly, a good place to spend an afternoon or evening. ***Please note that I'm in two areas frequently southern California and Northern California. So I post my favorites in both spots.

Finally, the crew was assembled, and we ordered some favorites, plus a couple of new items. Variety is the spice of life! I was one of the holdouts against that, but I did tweak my usual order a bit in a show of solidarity. We ordered two lunch specials off the board, an egg salad sandwich with potato salad, and a bacon, cheddar cheeseburger with grilled onions and many other toppings (lettuce, tomato, and such). We also ordered a hamburger (a regular for us) and the Grilled MAC (my usual), but I switched the bread from my usual sourdough to rye while still keeping the Swiss cheese. All the burger folks had a side salad, which disappointed me as I usually collect a French fry tax from others. But not this time! Ugh - the fries here are outstanding! But so are the salads, soooo... My Grilled MAC, which I usually get on sourdough, was STACKED with grilled mushrooms! I love mushrooms, so this was heaven for me. I liked the rye as a change as well, so either that or sourdough moving forward. All the food was great, as the photos will show, and the serving size is still decent for the price. The salads are indeed good, with a nice variety of vegetables with the lettuce. Speaking of lettuce, the two burgers had a LOT of lettuce, and the burger folks took it off their burgers and added it to their salads. The egg salad sandwich, on lightly toasted bread, was indeed more of an "egg WITH salad" sandwich, having lots of lettuce and tomato, and not enough egg salad (for me), but the guy with that sandwich did not complain and said it was very tasty. Because there was also a birthday among us a few days before, we HAD to celebrate with dessert and chose the apple and mixed-berry pies. They also had blueberry, but I have had these two before and really like them. They did not have ice cream, though (), but a decent whipped cream helped. The apple pie was hot, and although a bit charred along the crust edge (even I do that at home), I just broke it off, and no loss really. The pies were very good. Overall, the food was great as always, and our server Clarita and the beverage guy (sorry, I did not catch his name) kept us in our place! Looking forward to the next lunch outing.

The hot sauce that was served with it had a good amount of heat, and I really enjoyed it. The variety of fruit served with the burrito also pleasantly surprised me. I ordered a juice with my meal as well. When I called to order, the employee said they had recently renamed their drinks, so she listed off ingredients for a few of them and I just picked based off what she said was inside.
