    Always great service. Very HONEST. They'll fix it, and say if it doesn't need repair. Worth the drive!

The line at the counter was about 5 customers deep. One person (Joe) was checking in customers and moving about as slow as I've seen any customer service person move. I noted the time (10:20am) and called my wife who was waiting for me in her car in the parking lot. Based upon the length of the line, the speed (or lack thereof) of the guy at the counter, and my past experiences, I told my wife that I predicted that it would be 30 minutes before I would be done checking in. After about 10 minutes waiting in line, Joe asks another employee to work the counter while he goes to lunch. The new guy takes over and unfortunately doesn't move much faster than Joe. Finally, I reach the counter and check in for my service. While the counter person strolls out to my car to inspect my vehicle and get my mileage, I look at the clock, realize that I've waited in line for exactly 36 minutes, and I caution everyone behind me that I waited in line for over 30 minutes. To make matters worse, this location only had one model tire in stock that fits my car. I'm questioning my sanity because the discount prices at Walmart don't make up for the value of the time that I wasted waiting in line just to check in. It's obvious that Walmart doesn't care about customer service when it comes to their Auto (Don't) Care Customers. If they really cared, they would assign a few people to work the Auto Center counter, especially on Saturdays. They should also look into streamlining the check in process. It takes way too long for the Walmart person to walk out to inspect each vehicle and record the mileage. Just ask each customer to note their own mileage and skip the unnecessary inspection. No other auto service center does an inspection while I'm waiting to check in.

On Saturday, I arrived at Walmart before they opened, there were 6 people ahead of me, waiting at the auto center door. When they opened we went in and formed a line to the counter, quite a few people came in for service after me. Of the 6 people ahead of me, 4 were having tire service. When I got to the counter and explained what I was there for, I was asked if I was dropping my vehicle off. I told them I was going to wait. I was then told it would be 3 to 3 1/2 hours because there were a few people ahead of me. That was ok with me. It was 48 degrees outside and no place to wait inside the store so you have to walk around the store or wait in the parking lot, I chose the lot. After waiting 5 hours and my vehicle was still untouched, I asked when my tires would be installed and I was told it would be 2 hours or more because there are 3 people ahead of me. I didn't fail to notice that all the people who got in line behind me were already gone home with their cars finished. I asked how it went from a 3 hour wait to 7 hours. The answer was "I don't know, I just bring the cars in. I can give your keys back if you don't want to wait". The 7 hours turned into 8 hours sitting in a Walmart parking lot to have 4 tires put on a vehicle because the employees are incompetent and pathetic. All they could tell me was they don't know why. I can't imagine purchasing tires from Walmart or going to a Walmart auto center ever again.

They gave me the feeling that were truly listening to me, making eye contact and were very courteous. They pulled it in almost right away and on my way home they called with an estimate surprisingly low and explained how and why they were able to keep it at a minimum. I gave them the go ahead and less than two hours later they called to say it was done. They also texted an app to me, making the credit card payment process super easy. My truck is so quiet now I'm afraid I'm going to hear whatever else may be wrong with it (smiling). I am totally sold on Big Al's and have already started spreading the word to my friends and family. In one afternoon they restored my faith in the service industry that there are a few businesses that are actually focused on customer satisfaction. Thank you Big Al's!!!

    WARNING!!!! Do NOT USE THIS MAN!!!!…read more Lorenz came to my home and told me I had a simple oil leak and towed my car to the "shop" on a Friday. We had some bad weather and he stated that they needed until Wednesday to complete the job. I paid him $40 for diagnostics and then $150 for the tow. Then sent $550 for parts. I also got a rental for 5 days through budget rent a car which cost me 500$ Wednesday came and it wasn't done. He said it would be done Thursday. I got the rental another day. Another $68 and $15 extension fee. Friday came and he said it's still not done. So after a week I have paid over 1k and it's not done. He promised it would be done the following Tuesday by 8pm. I returned rental that morning. At 9pm when he didn't show up he texted that he was done but there was still an oil leak. WHAT!!!!! He said he had parts and needed until Monday. Monday morning I asked him if it was going to be completed as promised and he said no. He needed til Wednesday. So 13 days he has had my car and it's in the same condition. I just had enough and sent a tow truck to their shop to get my car. When tow truck arrived it was at someone's house. They told me it was a mechanic shop. It's a random house on a sketchy neighborhood and my car sitting in front untouched with snow covering it still. He misled me as he had a shop. He just paid google bc he was the first to pop up. I trusted him and he lied several times. I am now at a mechanic shop hats legit and have had to get ANOTHER rental car for the week. This guy has lied and set me back almost 1500 and my car is in the same condition as it was 13 days ago. Do not trust him

All the bad reviews I should have read these first before I ordered 4 tires and an installation on 7/25. scheduled the appointment for 8/2 at 7AM. I really need new tires was so excited to get these put on and it's a price i can afford. So, on 8/2 morning of my scheduled appointment, when I am literally leaving my house for the appointment, I live right down the road, I received a text at 640AM that my appointment was cancelled, and I needed to reschedule since they are still waiting on 1 tire to come in. The APP is ZERO help, all I can do is cancel the appointment, which I don't want to do, I want to find out when the tire will be in and reschedule the appointment, so I have been trying to get ahold of someone in that department for the last 7 days to help me figure out what is going on and as of Today 8/9 still no new tires on my car, and there is still NO update on the app and or from this department, today still when I call the line is just ringing busy all day, I wonder if they have someone else on eternal hold. out of the 15 times I have called in the last week I'm on call at work or I would have called more, only 2 times has someone actually answered that I have called in the past week, when they answered, they would immediately on the first ring, answer and say, please hold. placed me on hold as I'm saying sure and then never come back, I stayed for 15 minutes hung up called back and no one ever answered in this department again that day and I called back the next day and I would keep getting the lady in the fitting room. the next tday i called they answered I was immediately put on hold, she came back after 10 minutes and I asked if there was a manager available, she says there is no manager available, I asked for her name, she just kept saying this is Walmart automotive, refusing to give her name then she hung up on me as I asked a third time for her name. I called back after she hung up and go figure now, NO ONE will answer the phone in the automotive department. so, I let ring to the fitting room lady again and clearly, she is no help either, not her fault but none the less this is a terrible way to do business. so, I asked for customer service , she sends me to customer service, the lady answers and I tell her I need a manager in automotive since no one will help me that is answering the phones, I told her I didn't want to be sent back over to that department, I asked if she would just pass along my information to a manager in automotive and have them call and help me, she took my information and actually said that corporate was in that day and would pass along the information to them, STILL NO ONE HAS CONTACT ME or will answer the phone in automotive department. What an AWFUL way to treat paying customers. They should be ashamed.
